I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. While I appreciate they are working to send me a check they have been "working" on this since the beginning of JulyI gave them my new address prior to selling my houseThey ignored the information I providedAll I ask is that they cut the new check for the full amount of the washing machine I purchasedI provided them with a receipt and will do so again if need beThe amount is roughly $ I feel this is only fair since I have now been waiting for months for them to reimburse meI have an email dated July 6th that they received my claim and were processing it
I find their customer service unacceptable as is their blatant ignoring of my providing my new address both through email and via the telephone

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The complaint is based on poor business practice, slow response and unwillingness to take responsibility for the damage caused by their contractors. Regardless of their contract language which no one reads anyway. The complaint stands. It is not resolved. Please make this a permanent record

Dear

Home Security of America, Inc(“HSA”) is in receipt of your
letter dated September 26, 2016, advising of the above referenced
complaint. The letter has been forwarded
to me for review and response
I have
reviewed HSA’s records regarding MrS***’s roof leak claim. In January 2016, MrS*** placed the
service request and HSA was unable to immediately locate a HSA authorized service
contractor to run the call. HSA provided
MrS*** with the opportunity to locate the licensed and insured service contractor
of his choosing to run the call. When
using a service contractor outside of the HSA plan HSA requires that the
customer forward the paid invoice to HSA for review and reimbursement covered costs
based on the terms of the HSA plan. On
April 6, 2016, HSA verified we would cover the $plan limit for the
repair of the roof leakHowever, it appears that the reimbursement was not
processed in error. On September 26,
2016, HSA corrected the processing error and MrS*** will receive the
check in the amount of $in approximately ten business days
HSA
does apologize for MrS***’s frustration regarding the matter
Thank
you for your consideration
Sincerely,

The claim was approved for $at HSA preferred vendors rates less your service trade call feeThis leaves a net refund of $50.00. The $claim approval letter is what it could have cost you on a retail basis without a home warranty. When an outside contractor is used and
HSA has preferred providers that can take the call, HSA reserves the right to adjust to our preferred vendors rates. Thanks

HSA would like to assist the homeowner , however they would need an address or contract number please

HSA is not offering any further assistance with this claim and considers this matter closed

RE: Megan J ***; Revdex.com Complaint ID No***; HSA Reference No*** Dear Ms***: Home Security of America, Inc(“HSA”) is in receipt of your letter dated January 10, 2017, advising of the above referenced complaint. The letter has been forwarded to me for review and response I have reviewed HSA’s record regarding Ms***’s boiler claim. On December 21, 2016, Ms*** placed the service request and HSA dispatched Long Lane Home Services to diagnose the problem with the boiler. Ms*** advised HSA that the boiler was under a manufacturer’s warranty and felt that the service contractor that installed the boiler would need to service the system. In order to resolve the matter HSA provided Ms*** the opportunity to locate the licensed and insured service contractor of her choosing to run the call. When using a service contractor outside of the HSA plan HSA requires that the technician report the detailed diagnosis and cost breakdown to HSA before performing the service. HSA would then reimburse the approved cost less upon receipt of the paid invoice. Ms*** contacted Hutchinson Plumbing and Heating to diagnose the boiler On December 29, 2016, the technician with Hutchinson Plumbing and Heating reported to HSA that the heat exchanger was cracked and still under the manufacturer’s part warranty. The technician provided a quote of $2,for the labor to replace the heat exchanger. Due to the high labor quote HSA chose to run a second opinion service request HSA dispatched Dale Mechanical to run the second opinion service request on the boiler; however, on December 30, 2016, Dale Mechanical advised AHS that they do not service steam boilers and the second opinion service request was transferred to Temprite, Inc On January 5, 2017, the technician with Temprite, Increported to HSA that the heat exchanger was cracked and had damaged the boiler. The technician advised HSA that the boiler would need to be replaced to resolve the failure. Please be advised that the heating system has a $1,limit for repair/replacement during the plan year under the HSA plan In order to resolve this matter HSA is providing MsGriffualt with a check for the $1,plan limit for the heating claimMsGiffault will receive the check in the amount of $1,in approximately five to seven business days HSA will not provide any compensation for Ms***’s electricity bill Thank you for your consideration Sincerely, HOME SECURITIES OF AMERICA, INC Marcy *** Customer & Regulatory Claim Resolution Specialist

After receiving the message the HSA sent to the Revdex.com, we got online and contacted the HSAWe contacted them via email to relay my mother-in-law's name and contact information (as requested by the HSA) and also let them know that this contact was a follto a complaint submitted to the Revdex.comWe contacted the company last week (Thursday, I believe) and have yet to hear back from themWe supplied them with my mother-in-law's email address, phone number, and home addressShe still has not been contactedIn the meantime, she had to have a new air-conditioning unit installed as she could not continue living in her home without some kind of air-conditioningHer contract with the HSA expires in a few weeks (as it was a one-year contact she got when she purchased the home)It seems as though the HSA is stalling to let the contract expire and avoid payment

America (“HSA”) is in receipt of your letter advising of the above referenced complaint. Your letter has been forwarded to me for review and response On May 13, 2016, HSA dispatched Thomas & Sons Plumbing Service to diagnose and repair any covered plumbing leaks. According to the provisions of Section D-of the HSA plan, a $trade service call fee was due. Section D-also provides that if service work performed under this contract should fail, then HSA will make the necessary repairs without an additional trade call fee for a period of days on parts and days on labor. On June 23, 2016, an automated service request was placed for a plumbing leak and faucets and Thomas & Sons Plumbing Service was dispatched to diagnose and repair any covered problems. On July 10, 2016, a recall was placed and the service contractor was dispatched back to the home to diagnose any further problems. No further problems were reported to HSA On November 7, 2016, MrDames placed an automated service request for a faucet and Service One Plumbing, LLC was dispatched to diagnose and repair any covered problemsThe recall period had expired and a trade service call fee was dueOn November 21, 2016, MrDames reported to HSA that the service contractor had arrived to the home to complete the covered repairsSection F-provides that HSA is not responsible or liable for water damageSection F-states that secondary damage, consequential damage or any damage caused by or resulting from the failure or malfunction of covered or non-covered “Component Parts”Any damage resulting from the actual repair or replacement itselfConditions beyond our control including delays in obtaining parts, relocation of equipment or labor difficulties including, but not limited to, additional costs associated with repair or replacement of a covered mechanical system due to space restrictions or location of the covered equipmentAny damage alleged to be caused directly or indirectly by the services or the timeliness of the services provided by usTherefore, HSA denies any liability with respect to any secondary damages that may have been incurredHowever, in an attempt to amicably resolve this matter, even though not liable to do so, HSA will reimburse the $trade service call fee that is normally dueMrD*** can expect to receive a check from HSA in the amount of $in approximately 21-business days Thank you for your consideration Sincerely, HOME SECURITY OF AMERICA, INC Lori N*** Customer and Regulatory Claim Resolution Specialist

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The company can't even be bothered to read my initial complaint. There was never a pipe sticking out of my wall as they claim in their response. There is a foot tall by inch wide hole in my living room to gain access to the pipe which they claim was sticking out of my wall. I don't recommend anyone using this company as they will send out their approved technicians that are sure to find in their favor when reporting back to the company. They can't be bothered with diagnosing the problem, just finding that the warranty is not responsible to cover it. Buyer beware, don't deal with this company when looking for a home warranty
