Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below We choose to go with a local company because we had never had to place an insurance claim beforeWe hoped we could trust a local companyWe asked Dave [redacted] to guide us through this He guaranteed us that the work ( all the work) could be done in our insurance budget He never told us that there would be separate contracts We thought that everything would be covered except for the extra windows we purchased We have different statements about the windows None match the other I feel that we were mislead by Dave [redacted] who is no longer an employee anymore We have sent payment for the the total of our insurance payout and for the windows we purchased extra I do not feel that for the repair of patio door screen and the replacement of pane of glass is justified This was supposed to be included in the initial quote About the building permit I went to the city hall to purchase the building permit as instructed The person at the desk asked why I was buying the building permit I showed her the contract telling us that we needed to buy the building permit She explained to me that if we purchased the building permit we would be held liable if any damages or injuries happened on the job She told me it was very unusual for the home owner to buy the building permit when a outside company was doing the work She then called C&K and spoke to Cindy I did not hear all of the conversationThe end result was the clerk at the city hall told me that C&K would purchase the building permit.I am very disappointed by this transaction I feel mislead by the initial salesman We feel what we were told and what was on the contract are different things we assumed what we were told was what was on the contractSo much for the guidance [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, James [redacted]

We have read the response from Mr [redacted] ....The first issue is the statement that [redacted] apparently told the homeowner that the repair of the patio door screen and glass pane replacement would be covered under the insurance check[redacted] who came out for the roof estimate was with the company for 1/years and has never sold a window the entire time he worked here We have window salesmen to do thatNot all insurance companies pay out everything that the contractor is claiming, so why [redacted] would say this doesn't make sense Again, please see the SIGNED contracts from our first response, one for the roofing portion and then another which it clearly states that there is a charge for replacing the patio door screen and cracked glass in the storm The original contract was for $which included fixing the frame on the back storm sash They didn't want this portion done sop we dropped the price down to $240.Regarding the building permit, we can't help the fact that some cities/counties insist on the contractor getting these permits for the homeowners, but regardless of the fact, it is the homeowners responsibility to pay for it Again, this is also on the contract which they have signed.C&K Services provides services to approximately customers a year and strive for customer satisfaction We feel bad that this has happened but feel that we have done everything accordingly to the signed contracts from the [redacted] family

we are, at this time only accepting a meeting with [redacted] from C&K Services Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted]

2nd Response to Mr***s Revdex.com complaint stating that C&K Services is not telling the truth C&K Services will make one more response to Mr***s complaint to the Revdex.com In his first letter to the Revdex.com, 95% of Mr***s complaints were with the manufacturer of the windows The other 5% falls on C&K Services As stated in our first response letter, C&K did everything in our power to resolve the window issues that the manufacture created C&K is not going to get into a, “he said she said” dispute over who called who first, or who noticed what first I can tell you from a C&K Services stand point, when we receive an email, text or phone call from a customer with a complaint we do respond very quickly, as we did with Mr***When Mr [redacted] noticed a problem with the window, C&K went out to look at the problem, diagnose the problem and then come up with the best solution to the problem That is how any problem/issue is handled When Mr [redacted] says he called first (or emailed) first, we don’t dispute this fact, but C&K still must come out to do its own diagnostic check so that we can report it to the manufacturer Through this entire process, every phone call, email or text message that was sent to C&K Services was answered within a 24-hour period Unless of course the call was made on a Friday, then a return call was made on the following Monday As we write this letter today I can happily report that all the issues that needed to be taken care of have been completed Caulk was redone twice (to Mr***s standards), window glass, new weather stripping and hardware has been installed by factory trained technicians through the manufacturer and C&K ServicesTell us why here

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Once again C&K is not being truthfulYes most problems were with the manufacturer, but they installed the windows Their installer looked at both windows the same day and didn't notice the missing weather stripping and yes they installed the window with the hardware upside down how did the installer not notice the window did not latch? And they completely skirted the issue of the freezing temps on the caulking and if they did do things in a timely fashion Why did [redacted] message me in early Novwhen we had warm weather that they would be out the next week to do the Caulking and they didn't come out until Dec19th when it was freezing weather a hour or after they did they did the caulking againI have always seen caulking installed then made smooth by the persons finger this caulking is still rough and doesn't look rightAll the caulking tubes I read state not to use below degrees , I don't think in the area where these windows are were warm enough, seeing the Sun had already moved from there This whole matter can be resolved by just doing the caulking right in the Spring when the weather is the right temperature and to make it smooth not leaving it roughBoth windows are in a very visible spot in our back yard so let's just make it look decent like they would like on their own homesI am willing to pay most of the remaining Balance but would like to with hold $until they redo the caulking Or I can then pay someone to come out and do it right and make it smooth [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] ***

Hello, my name is [redacted] , I am [redacted] of C&K ServicesIn regards to Mr***'s complaint about the "second person" who came out to look at his roof regarding a leak, Mr [redacted] states that this person, said it was installed wrongThe gentleman that went out to look at the roof said the outer corner on the roof flashing was the only thing that he could see that may cause a leak with a possible driving rain, so he sealed it up.Mr [redacted] is saying he is waiting for someone to come out and make that repair to that outside cornerThis repair was done by the person who reported it to him and Mr***s seems to think it was not done because he "thought" it still "might" be leaking. This is when I went out and looked at it myself, took pictures of the roof and the flashing proving the corner is sealedI emailed Mr***s my findings along with the pictures, which I have also provided for youApparently this email, never made it to himAta later date he calls and leaves a message on my phone (which I still have), saying he is going to contact the BuildingInspector of MilwaukeeLater that day, I called him back and left him a message saying that I think a third party opinion would be great and to have that person give him a report on the quality of the roof and to reassure Mr [redacted] that there is not a leak or if there is one, let us know and we will be back to fix it.Less than a week goes by and I receive this letter from the Revdex.comAs of November 6, haven't heard anything from the Milwaukee Building Inspector.Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond

Regarding the complaint from the *** contract:I have attached the two signed contracts. The one for the roof in the amount of $10,dated 3/23/16. It also states in big bold letters that the home owner must get building permit. In the city of *** *** however, the
contractor must call in for the permit but the customer is still responsible for paying for it. Which is itemized on the invoice. She mentioned that the storms and repairs were included in the roofing contract, we NEVER combine contracts/jobs and you can see there is no mention of that on the contract. When the office called to let them know that we did receive the roof contract via fax and to thank them, Nancy had stated that they were in "no rush" to get the roof done, which was perfect because we had numerous contracts ahead of hers because of the hail storms a few months back. The other signed contract was dated June 23, for glass and screen replacement for $and to install storm windows for $The roof was completed July 21, 2016. As far as the storms go, of them were completed on 8/31/16. The fourth one had to be ordered so wasn't installed till the end of September.Nancy called the office stating that she wasn't paying her bill because she had many issues with the invoicesBill and Scott called the week of November 3rd but had to leave a message. They BOTH need to be on this call since it involves two different contractsShe called the office again the week of Noverber14th (asked for Scott but he was on appointments) but wanted to let Scott know that the only time she can be reached is after 6pm at night. Bill was on vacation the week of November 7th and then Scott was on vacation from November 17th and returned on November 28th. Again, this is a call that must be done with all parties. The office is open from 6am - 5pm Monday through Thursday and 6am - 4pm on Fridays. So, needless to say, calling after 6pm would be very difficult. However, Scott did speak with Nancy numerous times during office hours regarding the repairs and replacement of the windows before the work was done. We hadn't received any payment which is why we put a finance charge on the account. That is to protect the company if ever a Lien is needed to be put on the property. Thank you,C&K Services, Incof Newburg

Regards,
*** *** The simple fact is this--an employee of this firm got on my roof and determined that a sealant was not applied to the roof resulting in possible leaking in the future and at this point was leaking He said that he would inform Dave, the salesman of this fact I trust that the employee was honest and knew what he was talking about The Milwaukee building inspector was not willing to take sides, but he has been very helpful and advised in his words that this was a "civil matter" Thank you very much for your help

We are in the process of setting up a date to meet with Mr***.C&K Services, Incof Newburg

Hello, my name is [redacted], I am [redacted] of C&K Services. In regards
to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint about the "second person" who came out to
look at his roof regarding a leak, Mr. [redacted] states that this person, said it
was installed wrong. The gentleman that went out to look at the roof said...

the
outer corner on the roof flashing was the only thing that he could see that may
cause a leak with a possible driving rain, so he sealed it up.Mr. [redacted] is
saying he is waiting for someone to come out and make that repair to that
outside corner. This repair was done by the person who reported it to him and
Mr. [redacted]s seems to think it was not done because he "thought" it
still "might" be leaking. This is when I went out and
looked at it myself, took pictures of the roof and the flashing proving the
corner is sealed. I emailed Mr. [redacted]s my findings along with the pictures,
which I have also provided for you. Apparently this email, never made it to
him. Ata later date he calls and leaves a message on my phone (which I still
have), saying he is going to contact the BuildingInspector of Milwaukee. Later that day, I called him back and
left him a message saying that I think a third party opinion would be great and
to have that person give him a report on the quality of the roof and to reassure Mr. [redacted]
that there is not a leak or if there is one, let us know and we will be back to
fix it.Less than a week goes by and I receive this
letter from the Revdex.com. As of November 6, 2015 1 haven't heard anything from the
Milwaukee Building Inspector.Thank
you for giving us the opportunity to respond

we are, at this time only accepting a meeting with [redacted] from C&K Services.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am not disputing the initial amount I paid. Yes, I agreed to this amount, assuming I was to get a quality product /service. I am disputing the workmanship I received which lead to "poor Product". All together I feel as though I 'm out $ approx. $17,000.  And Yes, [redacted] did hear 2nd hand information regarding deck issues, only because, we were going through a "claim Process" with Trex ( C&K's recommendation) & waited to hear Trex final determination before we contacted C&K. Trex claim process took a little over 3 months. Once we received the letter from Trex we forwarded it.  We both contacted each other to set up a date but nothing was able to work. Every time I asked [redacted] to come out he suggested on sending his employee that ran the job. At the time [redacted] could finally make it work it didn't work for me.   We just want our deck finalized to Trex Standards.
Regards,
[redacted]

[redacted], the owner of C&K Services and Miss [redacted] have spoken on the phone today and have gotten all the issues resolved.  He also assured her that if there is anything else she needs us to take care of, to please give us a call. C&K Services will always do whatever it takes to...

make sure the home owner is satisfied with the work that we are contracted for.

Back on October 14, 2011, [redacted] & [redacted] signed a contract with C&K Services for two different items:  1; to go over the top of their existing deck with Trex material and 2; extending their deck by 10’3” x 13’4” also using Trex materials. The home owners wanted to purchase their...

own material for this job so we offered two different totals.  $17,794.00 would be if we picked up the materials and then $9,239.00 if the home owner picked up the materials.  These prices of course would be with labor as well. The home owners chose to go with the $9,239.00 option and purchasing their own materials.  Making the contract with C&K Services a total of $8555.00. C&K started the job on November 4, 2011 with a completion date of December 15, 2011.   Regarding the complaint from [redacted]: Two years after we installed the deck, Mr. [redacted] called complaining about one of the posts.  The tech who did the work went out there to adjust the post and at that time Mr. [redacted] never said anything about any other problems. In 2016, [redacted] called Mr. [redacted] because it was brought to [redacted]s attention from an employees’ son, who knows Mr. [redacted], that he was complaining about his deck.  So [redacted] called Mr. [redacted] to ask about the problems that he was having.  [redacted] sent out a tech to take pictures.  After viewing the pictures, [redacted] called Mr. [redacted] to see if we could come out to discuss the issues and at that time Mr. [redacted] said he wanted to bring in the Trex representative first.  On August 25, 2016 Mr. [redacted] sent [redacted] the letter from the Trex rep and that’s when [redacted] called Mr. [redacted] to set up a time to come out to discuss it and see what we could do to rectify the problems.  Mr. [redacted] said that at that particular time he had something going on with his work/job and couldn’t meet, so [redacted] told Mr. [redacted] to call when it would be convenient for us to come out.  We never heard anything from him until now through the Revdex.com. So as you can see Mr. [redacted] only called us the one time for the post back in 2013.  C&K Services was the one who reached out after hearing “2nd hand” that he was unhappy with our work.  C&K Services prides themselves with customer service.  We will always do our best to do anything we can till the customer is satisfied and this would be no different with Mr. [redacted]s’ job.    [redacted] Owner/President C&K Services, Inc. of Newburg   cf

Mr. [redacted] is
still stating that the employee that was on his roof reported that a sealant
wasn't applied; Again, as I stated on the first response, I had went out there
and took pictures of the sealant that was applied, so I'm not sure what he's
still referring too.As far as his complaint/statement that
Dave the Salesman was never informed of this matter; the technician that was
out there on the roof did in fact come back to the office to speak with Dave
about the homeowners concern regarding the sealant.Mr. [redacted] was still not satisfied that
the roof might still be leaking; that is when I, [redacted] of the company and
whom also has 40+ years' experience in the roofing industry went out to
investigate. The roof, flashing and sealant looked great! I also took many
pictures to prove to him that the sealant was in fact applied, told him he
really had nothing to worry about, but of course if any problems in the future
do arise to give us a call and we would definitely take care of it for him.I certainly hope this takes care
of everything.Thank you,

We have read the response from Mr. [redacted]....The first issue is the statement that [redacted] apparently told the homeowner that the repair of the patio door screen and glass pane replacement would be covered under the insurance check...[redacted] who came out for the roof estimate was with the company for 5 1/2 years and has never sold a window the entire time he worked here.  We have window salesmen to do that. Not all insurance companies pay out everything that the contractor is claiming, so why [redacted] would say this doesn't make sense.  Again, please see the SIGNED contracts from our first response, one for the roofing portion and then another which it clearly states that there is a charge for replacing the patio door screen and cracked glass in the storm.  The original contract was for $275 which included fixing the frame on the back storm sash.  They didn't want this portion done sop we dropped the price down to $240.Regarding the building permit, we can't help the fact that some cities/counties insist on the contractor getting these permits for the homeowners, but regardless of the fact, it is the homeowners responsibility to pay for it.  Again, this is also on the contract which they have signed.C&K Services provides services to approximately 1000 customers a year and strive for customer satisfaction.  We feel bad that this has happened but feel that we have done everything accordingly to the signed contracts from the [redacted] family.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Once again C&K is not being truthful. Yes most problems were with the manufacturer, but they installed the windows Their installer looked at both windows the same day and didn't notice the missing weather stripping and yes they installed the window with the hardware upside down how did the installer not notice the window did not latch? And they completely skirted the issue of the freezing temps on the caulking and if they did do things in a timely fashion Why did [redacted] message me in early Nov. when we had warm weather that they would be out the next week to do the Caulking and they didn't come out until Dec. 19th when it was freezing weather a hour or 2 after they did they did the caulking againI have always seen caulking installed then made smooth by the persons finger this caulking is still rough and doesn't look right. All the caulking tubes I read state not to use below 40 degrees , I don't think in the area where these windows are were warm enough, seeing the Sun had already moved from there This whole matter can be resolved by just doing the caulking right in the Spring when the weather is the right temperature and to make it smooth not leaving it rough. Both windows are in a very visible spot in our back yard so let's just make it look decent like they would like on their own homes. I am willing to pay most of the remaining Balance but would like to with hold $200.00 until they redo the caulking Or I can then pay someone to come out and do it right and make it smooth.

As you can clearly see by these e-mails It was myself that initiated all the action about when the windows came in, that the weather-stripping was missing, that the hardware was installed wrong, and the caulking problems.    Also you can see the lying about things from C&K . [redacted] clearing states that they will be out to deal with the caulking several times the last one being mid November. Well it did get redone on Dec. 19th after being contacted by you and contact 6.     The glass was installed by [redacted] on Dec. 15th, which was a day with the weather in the 30's I question how well does the sealant if used cures before freezing?    C&K did come out on the afternoon of the 19th to redo the caulking. when the had finished they just left never asked if it was ok. WHICH IT ISN'T IT IS STILL ROUGH AND NOT SMOOTH.      I believe C&K's response shows the lack of truthfulness of the respondent and our lack of faith in both C&K and [redacted] windows at this time.    Please let me know if you need any other information on this.  [redacted] ###-###-####
