House Smart Home Improvements replaced all my house windows recently and I am very satisfied with their workTheir work is very professionalThe salesman gives me a detail contract both up front and by email to make sure with me what I wantTheir team attends to every detail and all work are done to my expectationsTheir work is fast to replace all windows and patio doors in days and they keep my place as clean and tidy as possible with female crews to do all the clean up and vacuuming both inside and outside of my houseThey also send me a follow up email with my warranty and method of how to take care of my new windows Now my house is a lot warmer and it looks much nicer both inside and outside of the house

Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware)
I am shocked to see the positive reviews of this companyThis was not my experience! I did notice one review about the window trim being not recommended and I fully agree
We were told the new window trim would not require regular painting for upkeep and it sounded very goodIt starts to go downhill from thereThe price quoted had to be revised once an installer came due to different sizingOnce installed it was noted that the white was a different colour than the window frame....and we were advised that the colour was as close as they could get (pictures attached)There was not much choice at that point for us, as the old trim was goneWe were never advised of this colour variation during the sales presentationThey were put on with staple gun and some nail holes were filled, many not...and that doesn't matter as they were filled with the wrong colour paint (picture attached)
A screen was removed from one of the windows that was not being done and never replaced(We did spend over $25,having most of the windows in the house done)I have called and enquired about this and was told they would reimburse up to $for a new screen, which I had to source myselfInvestigating this, I discovered that the cost would be up to $for service call, screen cost and installation and advised House SmartI was told to go to a local place like *** or *** *** and buy one....and was requoted in writing (email available upon request) that they would reimburse "up to $50"I am not a window or screen installation expert, and found this advice daunting
When the windows were installed some of the labels were left on the outside of the windowsOne of the windows was the large one on the front of our houseWhen I called to ask for it to be removed, the receptionist suggested that I remove it myselfIt was about feet up, and I told her that was not something I could easily do...Thankfully, it was taken care of, but not without having to insist upon their help
Sadly, we spent over $25,with this company and expected a professional jobNow I have window trim that doesn't match, a missing screen and picked up so much garbage (snipped silicone container caps, pieces of stucco, nails, saw dust in our garage, etc.) it was ridiculous
We are hoping that the actual windows we had installed will live up to expectations, nothing else hasFrom our experience we now worry about those, so we give a two star rating
The first two pictures show the difference in colour and the fill of nail holes....and this is the finished productI now have to hire a painter to come and paint this trim that was "easy upkeep"

Was very pleased with both the sales presentation and the installation of our new living room windowsInstallation crew worked hard and diligently and were very politeCleaned up thoroughly and even moved back the furniture

I had House Smart install a new furnace last Tuesday The two of them worked together extremely well, cleaning up as they went along I would certainly recommend them to anyone, which I have already done

We had the windows, balcony door, front and rear doors, dehumidistat and siding replaced We were very happy with the majority of the work that was done However, some of the finishing work on the siding was poor Although, the problems were rectified in the end (for the most part), it caused me a great deal of anxiety at times I would recommend window replacement, but not siding with this company

We just finish having your doors and windows done yesterday Jason and his crew were pleasure having them hereThey there fast and efficient Also they got rid of a wasp's nest we didn't know about I give them stars great job

The crew were very professional and cleaned up very well
