Review: On June 15, 2015, I visited Hyman Brothers on Midlothian Turnpike to cancel my Gap insurance and auto vehicle warranty with Fidelity Warranty Services. I spoke with the finance manager, presented him with my contract, and he stated that he would fax my contract to Hyman Brothers on West Broad Street, as they had to cancel the services due to me purchasing the vehicle from them. On June 16, 2015 I contacted Hyman Brothers on Midlothian to verify that everything had been faxed and cancelled, and I was told yes. I also contacted [redacted] and they also agreed that the warranty service had been cancelled. The agent I spoke with also informed me that on July 11th, Hyman Brothers would receive a refund to their general ledger account for the services rendered to me, and they would then mail me a refund check. On July 13th, I contacted Hyman Brothers on West Broad street to update my address, as I had since moved since the purchase of the vehicle. They then told me that I needed to speak with [redacted] over at the Midlothian location. I contacted the Midlothian location and asked to speak with [redacted], however, [redacted] answered the phone. [redacted] took down my address and phone number, provided me with a rough estimate of the refund amount, and informed me that a check would not be mailed to me, that it would instead go to the lien holder of the vehicle, per VA law. I informed him that that was fine with me, I just needed to know where we stood in the process. He stated that the lien holder should receive the funds by the end of the week. I contacted the lien holder on Friday July 17, 2015, however they stated that they had not received anything from Hyman Brothers. I then contacted Hyman Brothers on West Broad street on Monday July 20, 2015 to inquire as to where we stood in the process with the funds being sent to the lien holder, and they told me that I needed to contact the Midlothian location. I contacted the Midlothian location and they told me that the lien holder should have a check soon. Not being fully satisfied with that answer, I visited the West Broad street location that evening and spoke with Jimmy. He then called to the Midlothian location and spoke with Heather who told him that Jennifer (the person who handles the checks) was gone for the evening, but she would leave my file on her desk and she would contact myself or [redacted] the next morning with information on the check. (Initially when I first stated inquiring about the funds, [redacted] indicated that I needed to speak with [redacted], as she was the one who handled the checks). I called the Midlothian location on 07/21/15 and left a message for Jennifer to call me back regarding the status of the check, however she has not returned my phone call. It seems as if each time I contact Hyman Brothers no one can give me a “real” answer as to the status of the check. This process has become very frustrating. I would like to know where my funds are.Desired Settlement: I was told we would receive between $3000 - $4800 back for the cancellation of the warranty and gap insurance. The check either needs to be immediately mailed to the lien holder or to us.

Review: The dealership advertised the car as a high end model and sold me a basic model. They advertised all kinds of features that the car doesn't have and they did state that this was the high end model even during our visit to the dealership in person. Moreover, they gave us several printed papers, when the car was purchased, stating the the car was the higher end model.

I thought I was buying a high end model at a great price but what I bought is a low end model at an excessive price. Although they claim that the price charged is the correct market price. There were locally other similar cars at a better price. I think they should pay me the difference between the price charged and the average local price for the type of vehicle sold.

I think that fact the I am a Hispanic woman and I went with my young son made the seller think that I could be a good candidate to deceive.Desired Settlement: I think they should pay me the difference between the price charged and the average local price for the type of vehicle sold.

Review: I purchased a [redacted] in March of 2014. During the selection process, I noticed the tires on the vehicle were different, I asked the sales person why that would be, he explained possible reasons why this would occur, then I asked if the tires were all new, he assured me they were-he even offered to have them cleaned up for me when I got the car. I took the car to the place I regularly have my vehicles serviced for the scheduled oil change and tire rotation. The service guy took me to the car while it was on the lift to show me the rear tires were terribly dry rotted, the front are in much better condition and suggested I have them replaced sooner rather than later due to the potential safety risk. He told me the tires were 2010, the same year as the car and they are more than likely the original tires on the car. I contacted to person who sold me the car to address this matter, I sent the photos of the tires for him to see what the issue was. He told me they were only surface cracks and they were fine, I spoke with the [redacted], he who basically said the same and they don't replace tires. I received another call from another [redacted] who offered to pay some towards the the replacment of the tires, he and had a discussion about the gesture, he then decided I was not grateful enough and withdrew his offer and hung up.Desired Settlement: I am requesting they repalce both rear tires and the labor involved due to the deceptive sales verbage at the time of the transaction.

Review: On 9/6/2013 I went to Hyman Bro. to sell them my [redacted] and they informed me that since I had the [redacted] appraised at [redacted] within the specified time between 9/2-9/9/2013 they would honor the form and would buy the vehicle. They reiterated as stated and stamped on their forms, "We Beat Any [redacted] Appraisal by $100.00. My car was appraised from [redacted] for $300. Hyman Brothers gave me $350. Afterwards they said it was because it was running hot when they received. This was not stated anywhere on their form of specific situations that would not honor their payment. They knew I drove the car to their establishment and it was not running hot when I was driving it and their form did not specify if their are abnormalities we do not honor this form. As a result, I feel that Hyman Brothers should have paid me the $400 as stated on their form "We Beat Any [redacted] Appraisal by $100.00. I still do have the form from [redacted] and the receipt from Hyman as well.Desired Settlement: Desired Settlement and Outcome: $50
