I really dont know where to start on how disappointing and frustrating my experience at Ideal Image has been, if I could give negative stars I most def would....A nightmare really. 2 years ago I can into Ideal Image for a consultation on laser hair removal of the bikini area. I explained that Id like to pay as I made my appointments. The receptionist said that would be no problem. She also stated that I could gave a treatment done while I was there to see if Id be interested in more. I took the opportunity, had the treatment with no problems, went to leave and pay for the treatment and was told that it would be billed to my credit card. Uh.....I didn't give you a credit card. I was told that when I signed for the treatment it also states that a line of credit would be given to pay for the services. No one ever told me that, nor did I see it in the documentation, that I signed. I has more than angry, explained that I told the receptionist that I wanted to pay as I went. Well, apparently they took that to mean Id make a payment on the 2500ish credit that they had already billed to my now Ideal Image Credit Card. WHAT!?!? so then I asked to please cancel the card and credit the account. I was shocked at the response. "Im sorry but the account will remain with the full balance and you are liable to pay the balance whether or not you have another treatment" No words to describe my anger and feeling of being completely taken advantage of. I called everyone in the company I could think of to call and they all said the same thing, that I was liable to now pay. So now Im forced to get treatments done, because I have to pay regardless. 9 treatment in, the technician burned the inner top left portion of my labia. At the time I had put topicaine all over the area of treatment, however this are isn't needed, I felt a tinge of pain and thought maybe I had just missed an area with the topicaine. Later the are was bruised obviously burned. When I called to tell the staff about the incident their only reply was that they would schedule my next one with someone else. No apologies, no nothing. My 10th and final visit comes, and after the treatment Im told that since I've had 10 treatment Im considered a lifetime member and that I can come in whenever for touch ups if needed. but.....I had to pay the cost of a visit!!!! Im so disgusted with this whole place. The people the ethics, EVERYTHING. Worst place ever.

[Your Answer Here]
The complaint was not resolved because I spoke to the company many times via email. After they said they would "work with me" and get me a refund, they stopped responding to my emails. I told them I do not have a working phone and my only way to contact them is via email. They have not responded to multiple emails since  3/**/16 where they asked me to call the office. I've told them multiple times that I do not have access to a working phone (my ear piece is broken). This is a sensitive subject and I am not willing to use my work phone (and risk being fired) when emails should suffice. They have been keeping touch with me via email for years, I am not sure why they refuse to put it in writing.

Review: Ideal Image provided me with a horrific experience. I went in for a consult and was looking over financing options and before I could decide if it was something I really wanted I was already signed up. That same day I was also scheduled to have my first treatment. The sales were very high pressured and they made it seem like such a good deal. After the financing was done I was then charged $5000 and that was a 50% off special. After my first treatment I found out I was pregnant and no longer wanted to receive treatments due to financial reasons, and Ideal made it very difficult to get out of my contract and now I still have to pay $1000 for just that one treatment. They are very hard to work with and now the hair that was treated is growing back coarser than every. I am very dissatisfied with the service.Desired Settlement: I would love a refund of the other $529 I am being charged but Ideal is making that an impossible goal.

Review: We had signed up for Laser hair removal my wife and I. It stated on the sheet for the area I was going to have which was my Back. Per session price: $1170 x 9 treatments= 10,530.00 and 50% off is 5265.00. that was the deal at the time of signing up. I had 4 treatments on my back. the sessions were painful and they had prescribed numbing cream which I did use 3 out of the four times. The last one was very painful and my back was red and irritated for a day later and I needed to apply ice. This was in May. I was very lerry of going back and my anxiety was increasing at the thought of going thru the pain again. My wife call them to discuss a refund for the services that did not happen. They tried to discuss different options, but I just do not want to tolerate the pain. They were willing to refund 1 treatment stating that there were 5 treatments we signed up for and four were for free. no where in the paperwork did it say pay for 5 and get 4 free. it distinctly says 1170.00 x 9 treatments totaling 10,530.00 and then 50% off. If we would have known that each treatment was over a thousand dollars we would have never signed up. [redacted] the manager at the Madison office told my wife that she would discuss this with the regional manager. The person that we had signed up with 12/4/2013 was a float person-[redacted]. My wife had not heard back from them and then emailed [redacted] to see what the outcome was and she said they could refund 2 treatments. Why only 2 treatment? My wife replied back and told them we would be contacting the Revdex.com. The sale was not what they are stating!Desired Settlement: I would like the full refund for the 5 treatments which would be $2925.00. These services were not used and therefore should be fully refunded. Thank you for your time and help with this matter.

Review: I came into ideal image during the time they had, what they so called a promotion of 70% percent off your treatments. I first didn't want to do the treatments after the price was offered, but the sells representative was basically not letting me go until I agreed. After I agreed I was offered 9 sessions for full body laser hair removal for $6,000. I then payed off the amount with the credit card they gave me. After the first session, I was never able to schedule an appointment at the time I was suppose to in order to see results as it states on the contract. I saw my hair actually growing more. I was never able do a full body session because they would be in a rush or cancel my appointments. By the 4th session of only doing my armpit and once of my bikini area, the lady put the power of the laser soo high that she burned my armpit. The pain was very excruciating that I went to the emergency room. My skin was highly irritated and I was scared. Since then I have been traumatized to ever get treatments done again. I even received a letter from a doctor starting they do not recommend that I should continue these sessions. I tried to speak with the [redacted] of ideal image in [redacted] to cancel my future sessions and get refunded back the money I did not use. She was not helpful at all, and always told me she has to speak other people and would get back to me. It's now been over 5 months and I have yet to hear from them.Desired Settlement: I would like for ideal image to refund money back to the credit card I signed up with them. I want to be refunded for all sessions I didnt do. Also, for an apology of causing a traumatic experience resulting in being burned and traumatized in even continuing these treatments. You guys did not help me at all.

Review: Ideal Image’s advertising is purposely misleading. It is used to fraudulently represent their services and deceive potential customers into signing an illegal contract. The sales consultant in Greenfield, Wisconsin misrepresented the service and misled me into signing the agreement.

The company’s advertisement and sales are in direct violation of Wisconsin Statutes section 100.18. Fraudulent Representations which broadly prohibits advertising and sales claims that are untrue, deceptive, or misleading.

As per the contract, I completed my nine required treatments in May of this year. I did everything required. I did not tan. I did not use other forms of hair removal. I made all of my appointments as scheduled. Yet I still have a substantial amount of dark hair, stubble and have to shave every day. This is in no way "shave free" or "hairless" as advertised, or promised.

On October 27, 2012 – I went in for my initial consultation. I was very excited because all of their advertising says “Hair removal, No more shaving! No more waxing! No more stubble! Just smooth legs! Are you ready to be hairless?” The airways are flooded with their commercials. Many, many times before my initial visit I heard these broadcasts. During the initial sales consultation JA said “You’ll love not shaving. No more razor burn or bumps. This so much better than waxing because you don’t have to grow out your hair for treatment.” She continued to tell me a story of how she vacations with her girlfriends. They are so jealous of her because she doesn’t have to shave. She’s ready much faster than them. We even joked about how hair seems to grow back when you get goosebumps. She said “no more of that.”

During her presentation I commented the other businesses I visited said I only needed 5-6 treatments. I asked, "Why is she telling me I need nine?" She responded Ideal Image is the expert in laser hair removal. They have been in business for over 10 years. They have performed millions of treatments and they know, in their expertise, nine treatments in 18 months would eliminate my dark hair. I then asked what if I need more treatments. She again iterated Ideal Image's expertise and knowledge that nine treatments is the perfect number. She added a tenth treatment is sometimes done if needed.

Not once during the consultation did she say I should expect to shave again. Not even when we went over the part of the agreement that says the laser does not treat blonde hair. She told me "You have light skin and dark hair you will receive the best results.” I would be "shave free.” I was a great candidate for laser treatments. But she never looked at my legs or gave me an assessment. Not until after the fact, did I learn, she should have.

Through her lies and deception JA convinced me the treatments would, without a doubt, be successful. It was because of her deceptive sales tactics that I signed the contract. I truly believed I would be “hair free and never have to shave again.” Despite the $8,000 price tag, I felt it would be a worthwhile expenditure to "never have to shave again.”

July 29, 2014 – After all treatments were completed and I was still unhappy I wrote to JA. I told her I was very unhappy with the results and asked for a refund. She said I would need to let my hair grow out and come in for an assessment.

August 9, 2014 – I let my hair grow out for six days. At my assessment the nurses claimed they couldn’t see any treatable hair even though it was obviously visible. There is a considerable amount of dark hair. One nurse comments I would have been told I had blonde hair during my first treatment. I was never told this. My legs were shaved during my first treatment and they never evaluated them. This is just another example of their staff lying. They said they’d make their report and I could expect a response the statewide nurse in 7-10 days.

August 15, 2014 – I received a voicemail from L**. She commented the statewide nurse was still reviewing my file and would contact me when she was done. The statewide nurse never contacted me or sent me a copy of her assessment.

September 19, 2014- I met with the owner of American Laser Center. I wanted a neutral assessment of my results. He was amazed at the amount of dark hair remaining considering I had nine treatments, which is 3 - 4 more than the industry norm.

September 20, 2014 – I met with the owner of New Image Salon for a second neutral assessment of my results. She also agrees there is a significant amount of dark hair left in my treated areas. She is also an experienced electrolysis. She removed several hairs and confirmed they are treatable which contradicts the assessment the Ideal Image nurses gave.

It is perfectly clear to me the staff at Ideal Image has no integrity. Financial gains are all that is important to them. They will lie, deceive, mislead, and even violate state law, for greed, and financial gain.Desired Settlement: Full refund
