If(we) Reviews (31)

After review: We were contacted from the owner of the email address: [redacted] on October 30th, 2015, requesting 'delete my account and information from tagged' (our Support Ticket [redacted]).Per company policy we generally advise members on How To cancel their account themselves. This is...

due to receiving many false cancellation requests over the years, where someone contacted us and attempted to have us wrongfully cancel someone else's account. We replied to the original contact on October 31, 2015, with specific instructions on How To cancel the account registered to: [redacted] , along with the invitation to reply back if they needed any further assistance. We did not hear back from the owner of: [redacted] and believed the issue was resolved at that time. Our next contact regarding this issue was via this Revdex.com case [redacted]. We reviewed the issue and canceled the account registered to: [redacted] on 4/1/2016, removing all information about it from the Tagged web site.We then contacted the owner of the email address: [redacted] at the time of cancellation and informed them that the account has been removed from the site (our Support Ticket [redacted]). Cancellation of the account should prevent any further email contact from Tagged regarding that account, and we believe this issue should now be resolved.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/10/07) */
We have investigated Mr. [redacted]'s issues and taken action to resolve the problem.
After review, this is what we found:
- There was an old, unused hi5 account registered to: [redacted]@yahoo.com.
- The account was registered, and validated, on...

July 30th, 2008, with the registration name of '[redacted]' and shows [redacted] as the country of registration.
- Since that time the account shows no activity, no content or other use, but was in an 'Active' state, meaning it was not canceled or dormant.
- As the owner of the email address: [redacted]@yahoo.com, Mr. [redacted] would have received email concerning the 'active' hi5 account registered to his email address.
- We can find no records of any contacts to our Support team from the email address: [redacted]@yahoo.com.
- If Mr. [redacted] was attempting to reply to the hi5 notification emails he received (for Pets, Meet Me, or other site features), these are 'no-reply' addresses that do not accept replies.
- For future reference, the best way to contact us for any issues related to hi5 or Tagged (Tagged being the 'sister site to hi5) is by going to: support.tagged.com and submitting an email support request.
- We are generally able to reply within 24 hours to problems of this nature.
To conclude: We have Canceled the old, unused hi5 account registered to: [redacted]@yahoo.com. This will eliminate any further email concerning the hi5 account registered to that address from being sent. In addition, the unused account has been removed from the site and is no longer available.
We believe these actions have addressed Mr. [redacted]'s concerns, and we now consider this issue to be resolved.

Mr. [redacted] has had an account with hi5 since May 2008. This is why Mrs. [redacted] is receiving email notifications via his email address. In normal cases, a user would need to know the password ** order to cancel the account. If the user...

encounters an issue, we encourage them to contact us at https://support.tagged.com/. We have not yet received contact from Mrs. [redacted] regarding this account. Per her request, we have canceled the account under Mr. [redacted]'s email address and she will no longer receive email notifications. We now believe this issue to be resolved.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accept this resolution but am disappointed they this company lied and said that they did not hear from me to close this account because I sent them a letter a long time ago to stop the emails and they did not . That is why I had to file a complaint with the Revdex.com but I am just glad they will stop the emails now MRS [redacted]

It appears that Ms. [redacted] is referring to a [redacted] account that was created back in 2008 under the name of [redacted], using the email address [redacted].com.
Tagged and [redacted] users who have access to their profiles, may use the...

'Cancel My Account' feature if they decide to delete their accounts. Additionally, users who don't remember their passwords [redacted] visit the login page to, either request a new passwords, or use the Support link to contact our customer support team to delete their accounts on their behalf.
As we did never receive a request to cancel the account, and since there was no violation of our Terms of Services, this account had not been canceled previously as per our policy.
Per Ms. [redacted]'s request via this claim, her account has now been deleted and she will no longer be receiving email notifications from [redacted].
Since Ms. [redacted]'s request was to delete this account, we believe this claim to be resolved at this time.

Ms. [redacted] has had an account with with hi5 since October 2008. The email notifications are a result of the open account. When a user is unable to cancel an account on their own, we encourage them to contact us via http://support.tagged.com/....

Per her request, we have canceled the account and she will no longer receive email notifications from hi5. We consider this matter to now be resolved.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/07/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I have never had an account with Tagged. That is totally false. I first got their barrage of emails in early May of this year. Contacting support is not as easy as they make it sound.
Thank you very much Revdex.com for your assistance.

[redacted] contacted us Oct 2, 2016 through our ticketing system regarding a suspension on one of his accounts. We found purchases were made for intangible goods on the [redacted] site, these intangible goods were used, and then chargebacks (reversals) were filed for the purchases. Anytime a...

chargeback is filed for a purchase made on the site, the account is placed under suspension. We at [redacted] take chargebacks seriously and have process of which we follow to resolve. Since [redacted] currently has an open ticket with us, we ask that he continue to work with our support staff through our normal contact channel to resolve. We're more than happy to work with him throughout a resolution.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this is acceptable in continuing to resolve the current issue. I do admit that because of their extended period of answering each of my responses which further create added problems to said issue. Had they actually looked at the problem
to begin with it would never have escalated to the current state. I have read and re-read their TOS again, and again. In deference to said, there is nothing in it that can be
construed to have any semblance of this issue. It is written so they can interpret anything the way they wish, with nothing set in concrete, only implied. In looking over my Paypal
records, this actually started on the 19th of January. I was also erroneous in the money listed. It cost me a total of  $700. until I realized it was all to no avail since I was getting
nothing tangible from them on the 22nd. I have never had any issues resolved with Tagged over anything, but have always let it go. When it is apparent Tagged has serious
enough problems to have something this big be allowed to happen, I have to wonder how many others have had this happen to this degree. I cannot in all I believe, let this pass.

Mr. [redacted] has had 2 accounts with us and one of them was deleted since 2010 for violation of our Terms of Services.
To make sure we are providing a better service for our users, Tagged's policy requires to flag any inappropriate content...

that is uploaded or forwarded on the site and delete associated profiles.
Mr. [redacted]' account was deleted in 2010 for sending out images in violation of our terms of service, per section 'C' article '13' where it states, "Members shall not post content that displays pornographic or sexually explicit material of any kind."
As a courtesy, the account has now been reactivated and Mr. [redacted] has been made aware that, per our policy, his account will be subject to a permanent deletion for any other violation of our Terms of Services.
At this time, we believe this issue to be resolved as Mr. [redacted]' request was to get his account reinstated.
