It’s Just Lunch regrets to learn of the dissatisfaction the consumer has experienced as client satisfaction is of the upmost importance to IJL. The consumer joined IJL 1/25/16 for a 6 month, 4 date membership, whichever comes later. In the time she has been a member with IJL she has attended 1 date...

and has declined to meet 6 other matches that were presented. Her membership agreement states: IJL will coordinate the schedules of its Clients and Participants and book a meeting for an introduction between two Clients or a Client and a Participant at a venue selected by IJL (hereafter “Date Introduction”).  Before receiving a Date Introduction, an IJL representative may present Client with one or more candidates for Client’s evaluation for a Date Introduction (a “Match”).  If Client accepts the Match, IJL will schedule the Date Introduction.  Client may decline or pass on a Match for a Date Introduction and such action will not be counted as satisfying the number of Date Introductions that IJL has agreed to provide to Client.  However, IJL is not obligated to present more than eight (8) Matches in fulfilling Client’s four (4) Date Introduction membership at any time.  After presenting eight (8) Matches, any further Matches presented to Client will be considered to be a Date Introduction and will be counted as satisfying IJL’s obligations to the Client regardless of whether or not the Matches result in Date Introductions with the suggested Match(es).  Once four (4) Date Introductions and six (6) months (“Term Months”), whichever comes later, have been provided or have passed, IJL will be deemed to have fulfilled its obligations under the terms of this Agreement and this Agreement will expire. Her feedback on the matches we present help fine tune the search and selection process for her next match. ILJ has been providing the services under the terms of the agreement and will continue to provide them. The consumer is not eligible for a refund of her membership fee. We look forward to working together with her to provide a positive dating experience. Thank you.

As previsouly mentioned, IJL takes the general criteria and guidelines of the individual into consideration during the matching process as well as our teams expert matchmaking and we do not match based on Zip Code. We schedule dates in certain Markets, all outlined in the consumer's membership agreement. Thank you.

Good AfternoonWhen I signed the contract and paid $2800 -- I was promised there were many gentleman my age and in my area seeking potential partners.  I was told I would have 4 meetings in 6 months. I did not have one meeting in 6 months. The Staff at It's Just Lunch had all kind of excuses. I requested a refund after one month after I signed the contract. I was told I could not get a refund. It has been a horror story dealing with the Staff at It's Just Lunch. After 6 months one meeting with a man who lives 8 hours away. Again I did not have even one meeting in 6 months much less 4. I know they are taking advantage of women my age. They should not be allowed to get away with not fulfilling the contract.  It is illegal.I want a full refund.

However, we believe there is some confusion concerning the Consumer's
account, as his complaint contains several inaccuracies and misleading
statementsThe Consumer joined It's
Just Lunch (IJL) on December 27,
under a membership that provides for six (6) months or four (4) dates,
whichever comes later. The Consumer
attended one date introduction under his membership thus far. However, the Consumer has also received an
additional six matches, which he declined meeting. Each match was carefully selected per IJL standards, was
well coordinated by the dating director and, while not required to do so, met
many of the key parameters the Consumer discussed with IJL. IJL truly hopes our clients will connect; however,
personality and attractiveness are subjective to each individual. IJL works to introduce its clients to other
IJL clients, who based upon IJL's interactions with each, IJL believes is a
good match. IJL not only considered the
parameters the Consumer stated at the time of his initial interview, but also
the feedback the Consumer provided regarding the other matches that IJL
presented to him. IJL has always and at all times acted in good faith with the
Consumer. The Consumer's reference to
the refund provision under the terms of the membership agreement is not
correct. IJL is acting responsibly and in line with the spirit of the
agreement. Again, the Consumer has attended one
date introduction and received another six matches. Under the terms of the Consumer's agreement, IJL
will only offer a pro-rated refund in its discretion and only if it is unable
to provide the services under the terms of the contract. IJL has and will provide introductions in
accordance with the terms of Consumer's contract. We urge the Consumer to contact IJL's Customer Service Manager to discuss his membership and resolve any concerns he may have.

The consumer was aware of where his dates would occur as it was outlined in his membership agreement, additionally, IJL does not disclose where other matches live due to client confidentially which was shared with the consumer. We apologize he didn’t enjoy his experience and wish him the best in the future.

I have attached 2 emails I have sent and I have called numerous times.  There has been no real communication with the office I am rejecting.  I sent other emails as well, since they are avoiding my calls. They presented a service they did not fulfill and continued to be caught in numerous lies about it.  The service I bought was through Rick and then I was sent to the other people.  They insisted Rick said to do certain things and Rick denied any of it and took his role very seriously.  This particular franchise has a poor working policy and I am not paying to work with them since there is a lying practice and I cannot trust any of them.  I am also attaching email from Rick who set the contract up.  I was told all members are paying members which was clearly false.

IJL spoke with the consumer 2.15.17.  She stated she will continue to pursue a refund with her Credit Card Company after a decision was made in favor of IJL. A member of our management team will be reaching out to the consumer further to discuss her concerns and work together on an amicable resolution. Thank you.

Unfortunately I disagree.I lived up to my obligations under the contract.  Personal Interview; Certified Life and Dating Coach, and review of 4 possible matches.The matches were not what I am looking for and repeatedly explained that to my dating coach(s).  I had  a second coach after management and I had a discussion about my displeasure with the service.I willing to negotiate a settlement.Regards,[redacted]

which dating will occur. IJL matches clients based on the location they are dating, not based on the zip code of the match they are interested in meeting. We schedule out dates at a mutually convenient location for both parties and the rest is up to the parties on the date from there. our team to resolve her concerns at which time matches were not being presented, however, IJL has provided matches, she has declined to meet them. We have worked with her to assign her different Matchmakers and even added additional active membership time to her membership to work with to improve her experience as well. The manager of her membership is currently contacting her to attempt to resolve her concerns.  IJL is able to provide the services under the terms of her membership agreement and accordingly a refund is not appropriate.

IJL does not match based on ZIP CODE. We match based on qualities and characteristics most important to a person, the initial intake interview questionnaire and our team's expert matchmaking. We have clients that travel and date in every corporately owned location because they are serious about finding the right person for them and IJL will not let a zip code stand in the way of helping our client's achieve their dating goals. If you fall in love with someone that lives further than you thought you would like, there is chemistry, a spark, you aren't going to let the miles stand in the way of a great relationship.
