We are sorry this client appears dissatisfied with our magazine, but we wanted to take the opportunity to set the record straight.  First, our representative did not miss any appointments with the client, nor did she refuse to return any telephone calls. Next, we did not make any guarantees as...

to when this magazine would go to print.  For a magazine not yet in print, our agreement clearly states the magazine will not go into print until there is sufficient revenue to start production. And finally, at no point has anyone been “irate and threatening” with this client.  She has been treated respectfully (as we treat all of our clients) at all times.  Unfortunately, she is refusing to honor the agreement that she signed.  We have every right to expect her to live up to that agreement.

This matter has been resolved to the satisfaction of our client.

We have respectfully worked with this client to alleviate any of his concerns.  In return he has sent us offensive emails and left abusive and obscene voicemails.  His conduct has been extremely unprofessional and is very, very disappointing. This client signed a 36-month agreement to run...

ads in one of our magazines.  He received a 30% discount from our normal advertising rates as a result of the term of the agreement.  The client reviewed the written ad agreement and signed it.  He was given a copy for his records and for future reference. The client later expressed some concerns about the length of the agreement. A few days after that the client was offered terms for an amended agreement that would shorten the length of the agreement.  All that was needed was to memorialize the changes in writing.  Later, the client refused to sign any changes to the agreement and became profane and verbally abusive.   We have done everything we can with client and he will not have any of it.  Despite his belligerence, we are willing to work with this client to provide the advertising he contracted for.

This client’s story is not credible.  Our clients are told up front exactly what terms they are accepting.  Our ad agreements make it EXTREMELY clear that the payments are per MONTH.  The front side of our ad agreement states repeatedly that the payments are per MONTH.  In all...

capital letters our agreement identifies “MONTHLY RATE BEFORE DISCOUNT”; “MONTHLY RATE AFTER DISCOUNT”; “MONTHLY AD MANAGEMENT FEE”; “MONTHLY PAYMENT”; and “MONTHLY PAYMENT W/TAX”.  The client signed the agreement with the above-stated terms and was given copy at the time of signature.  We have bent over backwards to please this client.  We have offered extra marketing support in the form of articles, a detailed profile about their work with a local initiative and a family feature story.  We will continue to work with this client to provide them with the excellent advertising they have contracted to receive.

This matter has been settled with our client.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The company continues its refusal to take any accountability for the actions, attitude, and misstatements of its rep in this area.   The service promised and the timing of the delivery of the service and publication promised by the rep were not adhered to.  I have records of attempted phone calls and missed appointment on the part of the rep.  I am not asking for an apology nor payment of damages at this juncture, but it is imperative that the company acknowledge that it is not providing any advertising services to me by cancelling the account and stopping collection efforts, as well as its threats to impact my credit.
Regards,

First I was this was for one year from the time I signed and was never informed by Robert [redacted] that this was unbreakable. He in fact said that if this did not work for me he will be more than happy to cancel that he did not want any unhappy client that it was not good business to do so. Since that can create a bad reputation for him and his business.  I trusted him and went ahead and signed. Now, when I wish to cancel his attitude and story changed. I do not have $439.00 per month to spend on advertisement that that I have to create for Robert and his company every month. Especially when is not bringing me any business. This situation is very convenient to them when I have to do all the work they just print and put it on their little magazine. It is all very convenient for them and not for me at all. More so when I am not receiving any leads at all.  Rob does drop off the magazine here at the office when I am not here, he never goes out of his way to make sure that I am satisfied with his services and the advertisement that they place for me. The times I have asked him if any other of his clients are receiving leads and happy with the magazine he says "The residents Love the magazine" again nothing to do with me and my business. I really feel all they care is about themselves and getting money out of me.   His phone customer service skills and those of Leah [redacted] have left a very bad impression with me.  I am not asking for any money back. They did place the add on their Magazine, I just do Not wish to continue with a product that I am so dissatisfied with.  Please cancel my contract and that will satisfy my request.
Regards,
Janeth [redacted]

This client fundamentally misunderstands the law he refers to.  Chapter 136 of the Wisconsin Statutes applies to buyers clubs such as Costco and Sam's Club.  These are businesses where a customer pays an upfront fee in return for the opportunity to purchase goods and services in the...

future.  That is not the business model of Best Version Media.  We offer advertising in monthly magazines.  Our ad agreement was drafted by one of the best law firms in the country and is 100% enforceable as written.

(Note: This client is likely not going to find the answer agreeable, however, by every stretch the Revdex.com should accept it.) The client signed a contract with us for 36 months with full disclosure that it is a binding contract.  Advertising, by its nature, may take time to work, especially in the...

nature of branding and content marketing. We are confident the client will do well as the contract continues and we will do all we can to increase exposure via a redesign of the ad and/or the possibility of additional opportunities for content at no charge. We will also follow up with the direct contact to ensure that they are dropping off the magazine each month (the contract does not require a drop off but we highly encourage it). The bottom line, is that we are honoring our end of the contract (all ads have run as scheduled) and the client is obligated to do the same.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I have just received documentation from American Express that they will be issuing $418.00 as per the instruction of Best Version Media.  This thereby satisfies my complaint with this company (or at [redacted]st what I was looking to pursue in compensation for their reckless behavior). P[redacted]se move forward with closing the complaint against them; but for the record, BVM made an already damaging situation worse with their uncommunicative, unapologetic and manipulative handling of the dispute. It has been uncomfortable and difficult dealing with BVM, and even over the past two days (since the Revdex.com complaint was reopened), I received aggressive calls from BVM (specifically from the CEO’s wife, [redacted]h [redacted]) demanding things such as I “check [my] email” so as to review emails that were never even sent (snail mail was used – but she lacked the detail needed in this message) or to “close the dispute” with the Revdex.com.  At every turn this company lacked attention to detail, made errors and mistakes, all at the cost of my company’s time and money.  I truly hope that the Revdex.com reevaluates BVM's A+ rating as my experience attests to the fact that they not only preform on a sub par level, but handle complaints and disputes in an unsympathetic and disorderly fashion.
