Our non for profit company bought internet service through them in February 2020, the service worked 2 months. Starting in April they said they were sending out new SIM cards, we have been unable to connect since then, We have spent $400 initially and they have charged us $79 a month since February and we have no service and no customer service response.

We are a prepaid, no contract service. We received a request to cancel 8/17/20 and canceled the account. We will issue a refund for the August service charges.

This company is a reseller of wireless Internet service. I have been automatically charged a monthly fee for the duration of my relationship with the company. In the last few months, it has been a common problem for customers to not have service based on notes on their website and customer reviews. There are other complaints online about this, and the company does not respond to customer service inquiries in any kind of acceptable time. I have been out of service for a number of weeks, or months. I have even sent notice that I am interested in cancellation and have not heard back. The company appears to still be drafting bills while customers are still out of service

A refund was issued 7/31/20 for monthly service of $79.99

I have paid for internet service from impact wireless on June 24th and have had no service since June 28th. No one will answer the phone, return phone calls or respond to emails to get my service that I paid for working. I've been calling their customer support# for going in 3 weeks now with not one call answered or returned. My account is and has been up to date. I feel they are stealing or being fraudulent by taking funds and not delivering the service in return!

I will have our IT department reach out to you by the end of business today.

They sent me a notification that their sim cards were going to stop functioning, and that I needed to go to their web site and update my contact info, so they could send me a new sim card, when I replaced the sim card, my download speed went from 16 Mbps to 0.5 .Which is basically nonfunctional, took me over 15 minutes to load my E-mail page. When I attempted to call them for customer support, when I first got their notice about the sim card, all I got was their answering machine, over and over again, I left many messages, and still 21 days later I still have not received a call back. I sent them multiple e-mails on the 19th on May19, prior to when my internet totally stopped working, And they said he would have his tech give me a call when he got back later that evening, and walk me thru programming the sim card. That never happened, I sent a dozen or more E-mails asking for a call to fix my lack of service, I had to get my niece to log in to my e-mail account to for me and have her send them messages for help. This went on for over a week, still no call back and no internet service! I explained to them that the sim card went bad and seemed to be the problem, and asked them to send me a new one. On the 3rd of June I received a new sim card in the mail. Two weeks after asking for one ,and two weeks of no internet service.. I submitted my activation info at their site, and waited for two days for it to be activated and on Friday the 5th of June, I inserted it in my router, and it immediately worked! I made my payment for my month service on the 13 of May, it worked for 5 days , until the 18th, when I replaced sim card ,and the nightmare started. So on the 5th of June my internet was working again, after 18 days of no service.I have in the mean time found another provider and am happy with their service and customer support! THEY ACTUALLY CALLED ME TO SEE IF EVERYTHING WAS WORKING ALRIGHT. I want a refund for the 18 days of service I failed to receive from them because of their negligence and incompetence. And a cancellation of my auto pay and services from them. Since I can't reach them by phone. I can only imagine this nightmare is being repeated by most of their customers/victims and that is why they refuse to answer or even respond to their phone messages. In closing, I am totally disabled , and rely on my internet for my TV, and connection to the rest of the world, this has been a extremely stressful affair, and they showed ZERO concern or interest in resolving my problem. However, they did a great job of ignoring and insulting me.

The complaint I am having with this company is they have over 3 months been I have not had internet service from them and they continue to charge me monthly... I have numerous times tried to make contact with them over the last 3 months on the issues I am having they do not answer the phones its almost like they are blowing me off.. I have tried emailing the company again with no response from them I have had no way of even canceling service with them because there lack of communication but they continue to charge me 69.99 for a service that is no longer working... I even believe that on may 26 2020 they actually disconnected my service so now I am left with nothing but paying for a service that I don't have I've tried calling today I've tried emailing today they do not respond but they surely auto drafted from my bank account the funds for non existing internet service. Thus problem needs to be resolved they need to reimburse me the funds they deducted from my account since March... As this is the time that the service they provide has been non existent I even had to go and get another service because I needed to work from home and there service they claim to provide is non existent... I have tried on numerous occasions over the past 3 months to contact them to no avail so this is why this complaint is being filed . It's basically they are deducting from account monthly for no service which is against the law and considered theft!!!

Impact Wireless Response • Jun 09, 2020

Refund has already been issued for April and the May charge was voided.

This company cut my internet service off along with 250 other people as they sold their business to another company which may be them doing business under another name.

They offered zero compensation for a week of no service.

Have not responded to DOZENS of calls, emails, messages.

Their customer service phone number goes straight to voicemail and they have two other similar company names and sites to avoid this kind of complaint.

TMobile the service they use to connect people has wanted to shut them down and they have tried to get around it by using these terrible Alcatel pads that suck.

This company commits consumer fraud daily.

Impact Wireless Response • Jun 09, 2020

I have issued a refund for the service for the month of May. You should receive it in 1-3 business days. You have the ability to take your business to any service provider and as we were unable to continue to provide your service we sent out communication to recommend another provider, you are under no obligation to use their services.

Impact Wireless Response • Jun 11, 2020

Perhaps you have not received it on your end but it has been refunded in our system. Receipt is attached. You have received refunds for all of your time and then some without service.

I am rejecting this response because: YOU ARE A LIAR! The refund I received was for the 69.99 you crooks charged me AFTER you sent my account to RVwifi and after I sent you an email on May 28th saying not to charge me or I would report you for fraud. Which I have done here in Arizona, So A criminal inquiry is coming as well you POS. I have attached the email screenshot so the Revdex.com can see what a liar and crook you actually are. GIVE ME ALL MY MONEY BACK FROM 6 MONTHS ! Or I will continue my campaign to expose you and get you charged with fraud. Attachments redacted by Revdex.com

I purchased 5 SIM cards for $300 each, I also paid $108 for three lines to have numbers ported. With tax and everything, it was $1,965.35. I purchased the cards in November 5, 2018. I only activated 2 of my SIM cards, never had any ported numbers. The SIM cards were advertised as unlimited data, text, talk for 9 years. No monthly contracts. I still have the emails with the advertising. I confirmed with Joel at Impact that this was true and that I could use them with a sim router. I actually bought a router from them for this purpose.
I only used the cards for lte wireless routers. I purchased the cards through impact. The charge on my card said *** The SIM cards worked sporadically. A few months in they stopped working and I was told they had to send me new SIM cards from a company called ***.
I had the *** cards for a few months, they would work sporadically as well. About 12/15/19, they stopped working. When I called Impact on 12/19/19 to see why they stopped working, I spoke with Jacob. He claimed that the company that was servicing the SIM cards, *** went bankrupt and that I would need to sign up with a monthly plan. I told Jacob that I purchased the cards from Impact and the deal was for 9 years. He said there was nothing I could do and I should file a dispute with my credit card company to reverse the charges.
I called my CC company and since the charge was just over a year, I have to through a long process and might not even get the refund. I believe they intentionally waited just past the one year mark to shut down the cards to make getting a CC refund nearly impossible.
Impact sold the cards, advertised 9 years of unlimited data and now just over a year later, they will not stand behind their advertisements. They hide behind it being a servicer issue, but they are the ones who sold the product. False advertisement and Fraud. Again, I have emails, receipts and other documents to verify everything I’ve stated.

Impact Wireless Response • Jan 09, 2020

If the customer was charged by *** then they should request a refund or dispute through their credit card company. I have attached a copy of Impact Wireless return and refund policy for SIM cards.

Customer Response • Jan 09, 2020

I am rejecting this response because:A refund policy does not take away from the action of advertising a product is good for 9 years, and it stops working approximately 1 year after purchase. So, by your logic, you could sell a product and claim it will provide a service for 9 years, and 10 days after activation, you do not have to honor it because its past the return policy? This is illogical, misleading and illegal. Normal companies sell products that have both a return policy and warranty. If I bought a Television from a traditional retail store, it would probably come with 90 day return policy, I could return it for a full refund if I met the conditions of the return policy. If the same TV included a 9 year warranty to remain opperable and provide me television (i.e. 9 years advertised by Impact wireless) and it stopped working due to the error of the manufacturer, the manufacturer and/or retailer would repair the item. If the item was beyond repair, they would replace it. You still commited false advertisement and did not live up to the terms of your agreement. You are now opperating under *** in the same town, with the same leadership (Joel S). My demand still remains a full refund.

Sincerely

This company sold me last year on paying $300 one-time for 9 years of phone service, it was for my son and I needed it for him to have an emergency phone so I fell for it. The service worked for about 9 months, and then it just stopped, when I called Impact Wireless to figure out why I was told that the service they sold was through Ruby 9 (whoever that is, I never signed anything with a company by this name), and that the Ruby 9 owner had taken all of our money and not paid the cell service bill of $80,000 and that I should call my bank to report it as fraud. My bank told me that I was outside the 90 day time frame to report fraud, so they suggested I take legal action against the company that sold me the cell service agreement. When I called Impact Wireless back I spoke to Aiden who informed me that his manager, Tanya, was out of the office but that they would not refund my money and that I would need to pursue legal action. Contacting a lawyer now. It is not about the money at this point but about a company selling 9 years of service for a one-time up-front fee that lasts less than 1 year, it is a lie. Do not fall prey to this company's fraud, they sell a service that they can't offer and will not refund you for the money you out.

On 12/18/2018 I purchased a 9 year sim card for $400 and paid a porting fee of $150. After having problems with starting up my new service, I received an text message stating that Ruby 9 mobile was taking over MCS Telecom/ Impact Wireless 9 year service. On September 6, 2019 I received another text stating that ruby 9 was not paying its contract with Tmobile and they would be shutting down all Ruby 9 accounts. So One Wireless World said for a discounted monthly price ($35) all Ruby 9 customers could go to them. I just want my money back since I didn't receive the service I paid for.

March of 2019 I purchased a sim card from Impact Wireless (Now Named ***) which partnered with a company named ***. They offered $300 sim cards for 9 years of unlimited cell phone data. After almost a complete month I was finally able to get my service switched over to the *** Service. There was a lot of going back and forth between Joel S and Steve M of why it was taking so long to get my service up and running Steve had advised me over a phone call that they were getting people in to help with the problem. Once the service was up and going it worked great until a friend told me that *** is out of business. I never received one email or text about my service from Steve who represented it this company as if it was his or any of his staff. Then I was told I need to sign up through his website (***) $59.99 in order to save my number or I would lose it. I signed up cause I can't afford to lose my number. I received several emails from ***, in one of the emails it welcomed me and thanked me for switching and that I will be set up on an auto-billing for $34.99. Not once was I offered a refund for the nonservice I purchased on top of finding out they canceled that auto-billing for the monthly service and again I never received any notifications on why.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

Sincerely,

*** of coarse you would say that .whatever .I don't want nothing from your business and I know you aren't giving me the $507.00 I was scammed out of. I just want it known what business practice your company does .as for argument in 3 party emails. I've other things to do in life! Buyer beware!!!

I've been a customer of Impact Wireless for about 2-3 years now. I can tell you that the main reason I've used this company is because of my location. It's the only option I have to receive unlimited data where I live. Their services aren't horribly slow, I'm about 3-10mbps, considering where I live it's pretty decent. Last year however Impact Wireless (Now Named One Wireless World) partnered with a company named MCS Telecom. Impact Wireless emailed all of their existing customers (Myself included) about an amazing new offer and so I inquired with Impact Wireless about how it would work, and what services I would I get. The offer was $300 for 9 years of unlimited cell phone data. After much consideration, I decided to purchase it. Fast forward a year later and it's been nothing short of a nightmare. MCS Telecom is canceling the service, their website is down, no one is ever answering the phones and Impact Wireless I'm sure made a size-able profit as they were one of MCS's largest resellers Although MCS Telecom attempted to switch over existing clients over to a new service provider Ruby9Mobile, it turns out that carrier was also fraudulent. Customers of Impact Wireless who were resold a product from a third party company were left with no refunds, no solutions, just a basic run of the mill scam.
As of today I attempted to reach out to Impact Wireless via their phone number and contact form, but there hasn't been an answer. At the moment I strongly urge everyone thinking of doing business with this company to avoid any of the promotions they offer, regardless of how good they sound. I'm sure they had the good intentions but this was a bad experience that ended up costing me $300, and for others, a lot more.

I bought this system for use in an RV. They advertise it is perfect for that use and that a lot of their accounts use it that way. As other complaints state it worked great at first but then quit working completely. Their answer was I am traveling through a weak signal area. I had them check the signal strength in all areas I am traveling and am told they are all weak. The system is not what they say it is and they refuse to refund money for the worthless device. Tmobile should be contacted and told about this unlocked device these people are selling to their network. When I told them I wanted a refund I was told no but I could sell the device on eBay!!!

Impact Wireless Response • Sep 23, 2019

Many of our customers do use the service for use in motor homes. Our coverage map is available on our website. We offer a 14 day return policy for refunds. It is a prepaid service with no contract so you can cancel at any time if you discover you will not have coverage for a certain period of time and reactivate when you are in a coverage area.

Buyers Beware! Please read the other complaints and reviews on the Revdex.com website before giving this company your money! They were great at the beginning, other than the outrageous initial payment. They say the payment is for their equipment, but I can get the equipment for half the price online. Things were good for a few months, we finally had better internet! For a time. Things started to slow down after a few months, then we switched the equipment to a netgear system. Boy did that increase our speeds!
We decided to switch the payments to our discover card since we got paid weekly on that. Two months went by and they took out the payment as agreed. This month, however, my payday was a day after my payment was supposed to be. Not a big deal, I'll just call the next day and pay. Well I call and they decline my card. I have money in my account (I just got paid) and I've used my card twice before to pay. They are nice and understanding, and after I called my bank to double check that everything is good, we decided to wait until the next day (Friday) to charge it again. I call, and it still doesn't go through. So I run to the store and get a prepaid visa debit card with the exact amount on it. They run it, and it declines again. So at this point, its safe to say there's something going on with their system. We agree again to try again on Monday(Today). I called them at 2pm my time, 12pm their time. The guy I've been dealing with the past week is not in the office. They inform me that my account was placed on hold today (monday), and that I have to pay an extra $25 for reactivation. Keep in mind that we use our weekly paycheck from a part time job to buy groceries, and my monthly paycheck is VA benefits from my military disability. We have the exact amount for the original payment on the prepaid card, but can't get the $25 right away. He says it has to be before the end of the day, or my account will be canceled. So I say "I'll call you guys back" and go try and get some money. Not even 30 minutes later, I come up with the cash and call them back. This time, a woman answers. I ask her if I can speak to the original guy that helped me, and she said she could take care of it. I asked why they've done this to me, I can pay the $25 extra, but want to know if there's anyway they can make this right since they didn't stick to their agreement of trying again on Monday. She starts to get rude and says "Well actually, you hung up on my coworker a few minutes ago, so we actually canceled your account." So at that point, it's not even worth trying to salvage with this company. They are rude, every time I called for tech help, they had no idea what to do, and it seems they are just a handful of people trying to scam rural customers.
My suggestion to you if you are considering buying from Impact Wireless:
1. If you don't need internet for gaming, go with a satellite internet provider. They will have better customer service, tech support, speeds, etc.
2. If you're like us and you play games, just do what Impact wireless does and go with T-Mobile directly. With T-Mobile having plans you can purchase now, and with their nationwide LTE service coming soon, Impact should know that they need to do everything they can to keep their customers.
You have options other than this one, do not waste your time or money.
I paid almost $400 for my initial payment. I just got off the phone with T-Mobile, and I only had to pay $11!

I have been with impact for a while now, they used to be a decent internet. Recently our internet has slowed down to s snail speed, I contacted them. They responded stating that they had DEPRORITIZED me, says we use to much data, they capped it with out notices. I contacted them again and asked why they putthey a cap on my service they claimed to have told me many times, uhhhh NO!!! They aslo flailed to mention they changed up the rules . I have recorded every conversation I ever had with them and not 1 time was it mentioned bout data caps. We are rarely home and we use more data? Not! They are pulling some sneaky stuff here. I signed up for unlimited services, was advertise as unlimited forever.....now I'm limited having to use my hotspot from my phone service to get anywhere on the internet. And to stream t.v. I have done nothing diffrent than I have since I started services with impact. With the exception of using it less. My fiance called them and they pawned the blame on ***. They're liars nowadays, services suck they don't want to alert customers of changes to the contract. I was first made aware of any caps, speeds and service changes a week ago when I had to call myself to get any clue of this sneaky company.

I been using for at least 6 months and working great so far with no issues. I am in a bottom surrounded by tall oak trees and still get 10 to 12 Mbps. The biggest plus is never having to run out of Gigabytes and having to buy more like the other companies.

Hands down this Company is better than sliced bread. I have had a great experience with them and there equipment whenever I needed something or technical support I actually talk to a person at that company that knows me by name and my situation every email I’ve ever sent them was replied to within 30 minutes even on a weekend I truly feel that they are looking out for their customers and are very understanding thank you impact wireless and Count on me being a customer for life

I purchased the alicorn internet device, through T-mobiles impact wireless. We only have this or Hughes net as an option for internet service and need internet for school. It was advertised and stated as unlimited 4g Lte data! With deprioritizing possible after 50GB. Which Chris told me is not the same as throttling. Said we would still get 4G lte service except in extreme congestion. The plan came with a 14 day return policy. When we got the device we plugged it in and all was great! Everything loaded and was extremely fast. As soon as first month was up and return period was over, this thing never worked again! It was a scam! Every month it’s suppose to renew, new period on the 11th of every month. But it does not matter. From the 11th of the second month we had it until now, it hardly loads anything. Not a webpage, not a video, not a picture! 95% of the time my device says there is no internet connection! And I only have 1 device, every once in awhile 2 devices connected to it at the same time! I’m frustrated! What it’s the point in paying for something I cannot even use! And worst of all, we hardly ever have it plugged in because it never works anyway, but when you call impact wireless to see why the internet’s not working, even if it’s only the 16th, 5 days after the data is suppose to renew, start back at 0, we are apparently already at like 25-30GB and have only had it plugged in 1-2x when nothing even loads!

Our website clearly states the terms of use. If you are using the device as it should be and you have contacted us for possible troubleshooting to see if there is a problem with the device or SIM then you are more than likely a high capacity data user and are experiencing de-prioritization as described on our website. I have attached for your review:

What is De-prioritization?After a certain limit, carriers will "de-prioritize" your data if there is congestion on their network. Essentially, you're promised full-speed data up to the de-prioritization threshold, and then full-speed if the network is not congested. Fuzzy, but it gives the carrier some wiggle room to let lower-capacity users get full-speed over higher capacity ones. It won't be as slow 3G speed, but it will be slower than full-speed LTE.What is Throttling/Reduced Speeds?Throttling is lowering your speed. Often, a carrier will offer a plan with XGB of LTE, and then "unlimited" data afterwards at a throttled/reduced speed. For some MVNOs, even on the LTE portion, they cap the speed at which they deliver data at less than you could achieve with a major carrier, essentially freeing up room for the carrier to deliver faster speeds for other users. So, essentially de-prioritization happens with all carriers and only occurs when there are too many heavy users at once resulting in there being no other choice but to single out the heaviest users to make room for everyoneon the network. If a network is freed up then unlimited 4G speed will be attainable for those that use the internet for normal use. (Streaming and gaming in binge mode is not considered normal use)Throttling is actually putting a cap on the 4G speeds of each user under any circumstances, even normal and responsible use. For example, someone who has a plan that only allows for 10GB of 4G LTE data speeds would immediately be slowed down to 3G or slower after they’ve used their designated 10GB. With de-prioritization unless the network becomes congested, which happens with every cable company’s internet out there, then unlimited 4G plans will be able to perform as advertised.Examples of 1GB of usage: 2 hours of standard video streaming or 36 hours of music streaming or 68 hours of web browsing.

Not sure how Impact Wireless got my email address but they send me "offers" multiple times per day. I have tried "unsubscribing" at least 4 times yet they continue to send unwanted emails. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY as they can't even process and unsubscribe request.

Been with impact wireless for a while (~1 year). Basically, they're a small MVNO -- a reseller of cell service. They're a small company -- don't expect the support to be snappy, but they *arehelpful, and they are a legit company. I wouldn't have internet access if it weren't for them. Consistency and speeds are directly dependent on the TMO network, so it's pretty good overall.
