This is the worst company I've ever dealt with in terms of customer service (with billing)I bought the WPMU DEV deal through AppSumo last yearI knew that the renewal date was coming up soon and had looked for a way to cancel but couldn't find where to do it in my accountThen life happened and it slipped my mind, until I woke up one morning and saw that $had been auto-drafted from my PayPal account
I called their "support" number immediately, only to be told by a recording that they can't provide support or answer billing questions on the phonenot sure what the support number is for then
So I emailed them explaining the situation (and the fact that I barely used the software at all over the past year)I guess I was crazy to expect a smooth refund processinstead I got a long rambling email back with frowny-face emoticons about me wanting to cancel, and rather than directly solving the problem, the rep tried to up-sell me by adding more time to my account rather than a refund, and then proceeded to tell me that if I didn't choose that offer, they could do a refund, but there would be a 20% admin feeso basically they wanted to keep $of my money even though no services were rendered to me and I contacted them right awayI honestly do not believe it costs them that much to process a refund for a digital productAs no other company has ever tried to claim this that I've dealt with
After days of emailing back and forth, they agreed to lower their "admin fee" to 10%So in the end, I lost $(and a lot of time) dealing with this company's BS
