Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Regards, [redacted]

Dear  [redacted], I’m writing in reference to your Revdex.com complaint from 4/15/15 case ID [redacted].  Thank you for bringing our attention to the service you experienced at your home on 4/2/2015. We would first like to thank you for choosing our company for the air duct cleaning services.I...

checked your invoice and understand you used a third party online coupon by "[redacted]". This coupon drop the price from $329 to $34 (payment was process directly to [redacted]).The only reason for our company to agree and provide this deal is to show customers using this deal what a great services we offer, how reliable and professional we are so even if we do not make money from the service now, at least we gain their trust for next time and they will use us again. Therefore we would never agree to any compromise in quality of service or reliability of technicians. We are doing above and beyond to ensure our clients satisfaction from the first call to our office through the cleaning process and the courtesy of the team. We would not hesitate to fire an employee who does not comply with these standards.I understand you have a reason to believe that our team stole from you a $100  (2 bills of $50)but after checking with the team they denied and even were offended from the uncomfortable situation.According to their response they would never do something that will risk their reliability at job or risk their family, not for $100 or even $1000. I believe you when you said you can't find the money but unless you will provide us with an evidence that proves your speculation I can not blame or fire anyone. Moreover it is unlawful to accuse someone without a real proof and damage his dignity and in this case the reliably of our business. In your complaint mentioned you went to [redacted] ATM the night before and pulled $200 cash. So many things could have happened since that moment till our team arrived & left your home the next day: some of the bills fell, one of your family member took it, you put it somewhere else in the house and many other options.from my experience most of times when I can't find something it's usually coming up eventually when I less expect it.Although you wrote that your report has never been treated that's not true:you have the technician name at same moment he entered your home he identified himself and it is written on the invoice you received. All of our contact information is written on the invoice so you had many options to reach us and you did. The representative that answered your call listened to your concern and provided you again with the name of the team and also suggested if you want to refer it to manager once he will be in the office (Monday). Unfortunately there was nothing else she could have done the same moment that could have change the situation. We will do anything to protect our clients safety / privacy, and our employees will receive a briefing reminder for company procedures.Again, we highly appreciate your feedback as it will assist us in coming better at what we do . As with any business like ours the greatest advertisement we can have is word to mouth from satisfied customers. It is my goal to retain you as a satisfied customer and if you have any proof supporting your claim do not hesitate to contact me and I will take necessary steps.SincerelySharon C[redacted] Office manager.   Indoor Air Solutions Inc • PO Box [redacted] Kensington MD [redacted] • Email:indoorairsolutions.us@[redacted].comPhone: ###-###-#### • www.indoor-airsolutions.com • Fax: ###-###-####

I am writing with reference to the Revdex.com complaint from July 15, 2015. Firstly,I would like to apologize for the inconvenience you have expressed in your complain and like to assure you that we are anxious to retain you as a satisfied customer and will go the extra mile to achieve that! I reviewed the...

information you wrote and investigated the case in order to address your concern about the air duct treatment. Here is a short explanation about what we have done for you on 7/10/14 for the amount $1659:* Duct system & Furnace device: Vacuuming dust and using various devices to perform a high pressure suction in order to eliminate dirt. Combined with a rotating brush we also make sure all pollen and other particles are removed.*Sanitizing: Minimizes microbial growth such as mold and bacteria in your duct system. Air Duct Sanitizing is often used when people have allergies or are moving into a previously occupied home. It is also quite effective in eliminating odors from within the duct work.* Dryer vent cleaning. Lint and debris can build up in the clothes dryer vent blocking air flow and creating potentially hazardous conditions including the possibility for an exhaust fire or carbon monoxide intrusion. A restricted dryer vent reduces air flow and causes your dryer to run hotter and longer, substantially impacting energy efficiency. Excess heat created by poor air flow can ruin your clothes, add dollars to your home’s energy bill and increase the wear and tear. We use high pressure air and specialized tools to dislodge the dirt and debris from long vent runs, cleaning the entire length of the vent from the dryer to the outside of your home.* Blower device: Using a high pressure water device, we wash the blower fan from all angles with a water solution combined with a cleaning agents. It is extremely important to clean the blower motor as motor life and performance will be greatly reduced due to dust and dirt buildup. Reduced operating performance translates to high maintenance, operating and energy costs.* Coil cleaning: There are a number of problems that can be associated with dirty coils. A dirty coil may increase power costs, while decreasing the ability of the HVAC system to work to its full potential. Dirty coils may also shorten the life of the HVAC system, while reducing the quality of your home’s indoor air quality.* UVC light + installation: During our visit, our technician explained the benefits of a UV light in your duct system and you have chosen to accept the installation. (UV lamps are designed to bathe your cooling coil with intense UVC light, similar to sunlight. These lamps sterilize coil surfaces to maximize system efficiency and keep your air clean. The UV light device itself is a narrow fluorescent like device that we have installed in more than 250 households this year)* Mildew eliminator and antibacterial treatment: Ventilation system cleaning by using Benefect Botanical Disinfectant, organic product, known efficacy in case of mildew concern and or bacteria. On the date of the service while the technician cleaned the duct system as the coupon offer ($34), he found that the system has not been cleaned in a long time, that there is a concern for the presence of bacteria that grew in the furnace and therefore contaminated air blows into the house every time the system works.Unfortunately, we’ve seen a lot of cases of furnace maintenance neglect leading to: increased strain every time it runs, shortening the time of its functioning and impacts of the cumulative pollutant factors in the health of the occupants. Our technician had informed and showed you the current state of the furnace and the duct work also recommended a treatment solution according to his experience in the field and gave you a quote which has been explained to you the consequences involved if you choose not to perform the treatment. You have been informed that regular duct cleaning (Suction and brushing of dust) which is what the coupon offer will not help and can cause it to spread more but you can still get it done if you want to.It should be noted that we respect your decision not to perform the proposed treatment, if you would have asked him not to get the service done he wouldn’t have done it. You did not asked to stop. You requested to get the service done and signed the invoice for approval BEFORE starting the job and AFTER. On the other hand, other customers utilize this special offer. We have proudly provided it to hundreds of customers and we have all the invoices to support that. While other companies may charge for travel time and estimate, we provided you a free quote. The loyalty to our customers leads us to take a step forward and provide them with all necessary information for continued maintenance and safety of the system and preventing future incidents. Therefore our tech informed you that mildew and other indoor pollutants are growing in damp dark places and if not treated properly and at the right time can develop into more places. So a UV light was installed in the air duct system NOT the furnace so it wouldn't affect any warranty you have from another company for your furnace. In addition, you received a complimentary warranty service appointment for 1 years. We stand behind our work and if something has not been properly done we here to help. Your free inspection appointment can be scheduled by calling our office after 12 month of the date of the service. (Although the warranty valid for July next year, we can make exception and make another one in the next 30 days for free, just to rest assured that every aspect of the work order has been handled correctly.)Indoor Air Solutions goal was and is always to provide you with the best cleaning services and customer service. I appreciate you contacting the Revdex.com to share your concern about the this case and I truly hope that after the efforts and hard work that our company have provided you and after giving a professional aspect of any concerns, you will find that we can’t refund you for a service that we performed, however in in order resolve this matter fairly, we can send a team to inspect the work and make sure that the cleaning was handled properly. During this visit, the team will check the work to confirm all aspects of your work order. In case we will identify deficiencies related to the performed services, we will fix them without additional fees to make sure that what you paid for is what you got.The service you received can not be “returned” (like item at the store) exactly like you wouldn't imagine getting a work done from housekeeper / plumer/ home designer / painter and ask for your money back the next day after you changed your mind . The work has been completed and this is unacceptable to ask for the money back and finish with a free service.Indoor Air Solutions goal was and is always to provide you with the best cleaning services and customer service! Hopefully our response will light up this case with more accurate information.Sincerely, [redacted] .C Office Manager.

I am writing with reference to dispute on  12/17/2015 1:08:20 PM and assigned ID of [redacted]During the past month since the services were provided our office has been communicating with [redacted] the husband of the initial contact person his wife, who also listed herself as primary...

contact for her home. Using any possible way: phone calls, letters, Revdex.com, and another dispute methods that would close in merchants favor.Although client described the work as “ false advertising” and “tactics to scare his wife in a vulnerable situation” we believe this is the customer's way of trying to leave services rendered unpaid for (also told us verbally over the phone that he will not stop, his only resolution is to pay for what the customer, his wife scheduled the appointment for although services rendered before technician was told to stop were outside of coupon stipulations.) In addition client(s) believes that other people had the same issue. This claim isn't true since every house is different, every system is different and every project is different.  This is the reason why we hope our customers don't put themselves or compare their homes in another customer's situation as example of their experiences. This is not acceptable that the customers home received a services and after work has been completed although partially with approval from one of the two homeowners in the best way possible that customers now claim that there was no need for services at all or that the wording for explanation from the technician was unacceptable causing the initial client/wife to get emotional. Client was present,(according to our scheduled records) both client and husband saw the process and or the end result, wife/ client approved the work then called her partner who was as an offsite location and received the full service she permitted and left services unpaid.  Customer was sent an initial collections letter in December detailing merchants request for payment of services performed which would account for technician services, chemicals used and special equipment for the hazardous buildup the customer had in their system up arrival and assessment. This is not acceptable in any field to get away with a free service that was approved by the customer and make the merchant haggle prices with an unknown customer on a later time and have the problem escalate to these extremes. However, our company put hard work on all fronts from field staff to office personnel to respectfully listen, read and rendered excellent customer service and would do that with any customer.  We truly hope that you as our merchant, (after reading the following info), will agree with us in order not to encourage more people to use the same tactics to tarnish our team of professional who reflect the values of our company.Sincerely,Sharon C[redacted] Office Manager.

He showed you the current state of the furnace and the duct work also recommended a treatment solution according to his experience in the field and gave you a quote for the project. Has been explained to you the consequences involve if you choose not to perform the treatment. It should be noted that we respect your decision not to perform the proposed treatment, if you would have asked him not to get it done he would have done it. You requested to get the service done. The invoice was signed by you 3 times and you received a copy. As you can Clearly see the job does not include warranty. If We Were trying to hide Something then We Wouldn't give you a Copy of the invoice or avoid your phone calls however we do stand behind our work. In addition, it make sense that the system will get dirty after certain amount of time. It will collect dust and buildup of dirt and debris and no one can do anything to avoid it. Therefore it's not possible to give a warranty for such a case. (Compared to a technical problem that you can get a warranty for the repair if something's going Wrong)You submitted a complaint to the Revdex.com on Oct 29, a day after I contact you on this matter and explained everything. Moreover as a gesture of a good will I offer you a complimentary warranty service appointment (Warranty cost $99).In your complaint letter, you have mention that your desired settlement is “Free service call within 2 years on an annual or more frequent basis as required.” You can not expect from a business after getting a work done that anytime you have dust We will come and clean it for free. It is not make sense to give a free 2 years checkup because than people will never need a service in the future (the get it free), and we will be busy cleaning the same houses over and over again.Unless proof otherwise, the Work We performed to you on May 4, does not include a free checkupfor the next two years. However in order to resolve this matter fairly We offered one time Service appointment that you can use anytime you want in the next 2 years.I truly hope that after the efforts and hard work that our company have done for you and after giving a professional aspect of any concerns, you will find our resolution to your satisfaction.Sincerely,Sharon COffice Manager

Review: Indoor Air Solution provide a coupon via the [redacted] mailer for air duct cleaning for $33. Once they came to my home they told me that there was mold in the AC unit and it would cost $600+ dollars to clean the mold in the AC unit. I told them that I did not want the mold cleaning done. I told them I only wanted the air ducts cleaned. They told me that in order to "do the job right" they had to clean the AC for mold. I continuously declined the mold service cleaning and they said they would not do the duct cleaning without the mold treatment and left the home. I called to speak to a supervisor who claimed that they want to provide the best service possible and in order to do so, they have to treat the AC units for mold, otherwise they can not perform the air duct cleaning. Nowhere in their [redacted] advertisement, does it state that mold treatment to the tune of $600+ is required in order to perform air duct cleaning.

This company is practicing deceptive bait and switch advertising.Desired Settlement: I would like the business to perform the job as advertised in their coupon and ask the Revdex.com take action on their deceptive advertising practices.

Response:

October 6, 2014 Dear [redacted].I am writing with reference to your Revdex.com complaint from September 26 2014. Thank you for taking the time to review us and and the service we performed for you from your perspective.Firstly, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience you have expressed in your review. I'm very disappointed to hear that a potential client, that did not receive a duct cleaning service from us and did not paid for his appointment/travel time estimate he had, feel that way. I would also like to assure you that we are anxious to retain all of our clients as a satisfied customers and will go the extra mile to achieve that I reviewed the information you provided to the Revdex.com and investigated the case in order to address your concern about our advertising and additional services. Here are the facts about your case from our perspective:You called our office on Aug 7 and booked an appointment for Aug 18. We sent our team with truck fully loaded to perform the service requested on the coupon on the agreed day . The coupon you had was duct cleaning for $38. We had hundreds of clients that used the same coupon and we got invoices to prove it. In your letter, you had mentioned that our technician checked the system and notified you about potential growth of mold. Unfortunately, we see a lot of cases of furnace maintenance neglect leading to increased strain every time it runs, shortening the time of its functioning and impacts of the cumulative pollutant factors in the health of the occupants. Our technician informed and showed you the current state of the furnace and the duct work also recommended a treatment solution according to his experience in the field and gave you a quote. Has been explained to you the consequences involve if you choose not to perform the treatment. You have been informed that regular duct cleaning (Suction and brushing of dust) which is what the coupon offer will not help and can cause it to spread more. The price quote of $600 was in order to perform a complete treatment include mildew eliminator, antibacterial cleaning detergent, organic chemicals and sanitization for the entire system and all vents around the house. The loyalty to our customers leads us to take a step forward and provide them with all necessary information for continued maintenance and safety of the system and preventing future incidents. You did not have any obligation to get the additional service, you choose not to do so and we respect your decision. Moreover, we also advise that you can go with another service provider to get the work done and if you still want to use the coupon after that, we will honor it.While other companies may charge for travel time and estimate, we provided you a free quote. We choose to lose the $38 you agreed to pay but to be honest with you. Our team guided to put professionalism before anything else. In your case you choose to saw it as a “bait and switch" although we were only trying to make things right. Therefore, your claim that "we have to treat the AC unit otherwise we can't perform the air duct" is not truth. You called our office the same day to compaine and I listen to your concern over the phone and explained that we are not forcing you to get the additional service done. It is only a recommendation, and in your case by performing the regular duct cleaning we take a risk of making the problem worse. We do not want to take this risk. Our best attempt to help you and give you recommendation/free estimate that can save money in the further and/or to avoid disaster, was taken the wrong way. From the first time you contacted our company until today we lost on this case more than $100 and more than 3 hours of office Work. Indoor air solutions have hundreds of clients that used the same coupon you had, and we have all the invoices to support it.Our office provide you above and beyond of flawless service and we want to believe that this case will be the first and last. I truly hope that after giving a professional aspect of any concerns, you will find that it is important to us to maintain our good reputation and we are always here for positive or negative feedback.Indoor Air Solutions goal was and is always to provide you with the best cleaning services and customer service.Sincerely,Sharon COffice Manager.

Review: Upon hiring Indoor Air Solutions to clean our air ducts ($39 fee) as advertised on a [redacted] mailer coupon, the technician/sales person presented additional options to include a full system servicing (ducts, cooling coils, furnace/fan cleaning etc.) with a 2-year warrantee. This warrantee includes annual visits (or more often if issues are noted). Upon completion of the service, the paperwork was signed, and payment was remitted via credit card. Upon calling after 6 months to request an inspection to ensure everything was still satisfactory with the system, I was told the service I received in May did not include the warrantee. The technician (who no longer works for the company) had said the service WAS included in the price of $509.00 on 4 May 2014 when the initial service was performed. I would have NEVER paid $509.00 for a one time servicing of the cooling system - that price is completely ridiculous for the work performed when not paired with a 2-year service plan/warrantee and a servicing of the heating system before the winter season.Desired Settlement: While the company has offered to send a crew out to complete an inspection of the system (as would be performed under the warrantee), this is a "one-time exception." My desire is for the company to honor the 2-year warrantee (free service calls within the 2-year service period 4 May 2014 to 4 May 2016) on an annual or more frequent basis as required, as this is what I was told I was buying.

This company provided us with duct cleaning service, and broke a coil in the condenser unit or our air conditioner. When we realized our air conditioning was broken, we tried to contact the company and it was several days before we could get a response. We had an estimate of 2200 dollars to fix the A/C. We wanted Alex, the representative, to pay for part of the repair, since his technician was the one who broke it. He refused. We told him to get his own estimate, and come to our house to see the damage. He got an estimate of 1200 dollars. We said we would meet in the middle. He offered us 600 dollars. We are tired of dealing with such a poor businessman so we are just accepting it. In the end, we decided to replace our whole A/C unit. It is not like we were asking to foot the cost of this, since it was our decision. I got on Angies List, and this company has terrible reviews, and scams customers. We were told we had a mold problem by the technicians. When I saw the reviews on Angies' List, I realized that they tell everyone this! Many people fall for this, and pay them a lot of money for a problem, that was not real according to these reviews. They also all report that the company uses a Groupon Deal to gain access to your house, then upcharge you by saying you need more services. This did happen to us. We thought we were only paying 30 something dollars, and we paid 200. This kind of business practice has to stop.
