Ingram Park Chrysler Jeep Dodge Reviews (33)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me However, due to recently having back surgery on December 18th and being heavily medicated when I received the phone call, I forgot to mention to *** that I am unable to drive for at least weeks from my surgery date I will be contacting Custom Sounds to see when I can schedule an appointment when I am finally able to drive and drop it off Also, because of my being heavily medicated we also did not discuss the possibility of having to leave my vehicle there and having IPAC pay for a rental until my vehicle is ready When I am able to drive again I will be working and going to school full-time and cannot be without a vehicle
Regards,

10/21/2016–RESPONSE TO Revdex.com COMPLAINT #[redacted]–IPAC-Chrysler Service
Ingram Park Auto Center takes all customer issues very seriously.  IPAC-Chrysler’s Service Dept.’s Service Manager, [redacted], has given a brief paragraph.  Please see below. ...

Thank you.
“Customer’s vehicle was towed into the Ingram Park Service Department - was initially the vehicle would not start with other unknown conditions that the dealership was unable to diagnosed until we were able to replace the bad starter and a cracked flex plate.  Once these repairs were completed, the engine was missing and running rough.  The technician began his vehicle assessment check, finding additional concerns, some which pertained to the engine misfire and check engine light and other repairs that were recommended to be completed while the engine and transmission were separated because of an existing repair. (Flex Plate) additional recommendation (Rear Main Seal), based upon the mileage of the vehicle and the fact the customer would not have to incur this labor charge again.  After the technician completed his vehicle assessment, we followed the diagnostic guidelines for each repair starting with a check engine light, (2 Oxygen Sensors) then a fuel pump and after that finding the vehicle also had an electrical issue needing a TIPM.  None of these repairs could have been foreseen from a vehicle that was towed to the dealership in a non-running condition.  The customer was quoted the initial repair to get the vehicle started, (starter, flex plate and recommended rear main seal) outside of these initial recommendation the technician recommended resealing the oil pan leak and a transmission service that was due by time and mileage, along with the customers original tow bill, bringing the customers charges to $1719.67.  The dealership procured Goodwill assistance for the customer from Chrysler Motors for a portion of the remaining repair that took some time to get approved by Chrysler to the sum of $1,579.34 of Goodwill assistance, while the remainder of the customer repairs were taken care of by IPAC Chrysler, to the sum of $180.11.   To sum up this customer vehicle, the owner spent $1719.67 for repair to his vehicle and the Dealership procured assist and assisted with the customer repairs to the expense of $1597.45.   We in good faith were trying to help this customer through a difficult repair issues with his vehicle.”

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Unfortunately the dealership and the person sending the response on behalf of the dealership have the facts incorrect. My father contacted Chrysler and complained about the dealership. At that time Chrysler dispatched the Area Chrysler Rep to find out the issues it was at that time Chrysler got involved on my behalf not because the dealership was doing me any favors. Just because Chrysler chose to goodwill does not change the fact that the service department was dishonest and not forthright on disclosure of the additional repair nor can they provide any estimates regarding the repairs. The issue is the nondisclosure of costs for labor and the rear main seal misled us. the rear main seal was a recommendation but at no time was the cost of labor and the material ever given. If we would have known that the majority of the cost was for the rear main and associated labor and not the starter and flex plate we would have never authorized such a service when it wasn't needed. The fact is also the Goodwill came from Chrysler and not the dealership so it has nothing to do with the rear main seal issue.
