I am responding to Mr. [redacted] complaint referenced above.I have reviewed the file and spoken with Mr. [redacted] on this matter. The first matter is the purchase of the vehicle, it was not purchased from International Autos.I clarified what we offered Mr. [redacted] a brake service not new pads and rotors....

The multi -point inspection we  referenced clearly states the brake pads are in great shape. Next are the wiper blades, something we definitely recommend coming out of winter in our area. Clearly a miscommunication on our part. I apologized to Mr. [redacted] for that. I offered to do his next set of tires for cost and take care of the labor, he declined. He asked for us to absorb the full cost of parts and labor on a new set of tires. for a new set of tires. That is not reasonable to us, once again we did not sell him the car originally. The tread on the tires have a lot of depth to them. We have not recommended tires to him and do not believe he needs them. He is also disappointed about that. He feels we should have offered them to him as they are worn on the outer edges of the tires. All in all, miscommunication across the board. We have offered a reasonable token of appreciation for his continued business. He has declined at this time as he has lost confidence in us as a dealer. The tire and wheel cancellation funds were mailed on 1/25/2016 in the amount of $695 via check number 4259 that was signed and cashed.
The GAP cancellation was completed at the end of November, and was credited directly to their account.  Because they were refinancing when they called...

Chase to get a payoff amount, the amount provided was less the cost of the GAP insurance.  A letter was mailed by Chased on 12/4 to their home address explaining the cancellation credit to their account.They first requested cancellation of the Edge Plus Appearance package around 1/29 and the cancellation was faxed in 2/2/2016.  As soon as we receive the refund, we will be sending the check to the customer.

On October 6, 2016 I had my auto serviced above including oil, tire rotation and checked over. The following day I noticed I had a headlight out that was checked as OK on the check off form. I called and complained that it was never checked. The service manager said it probably went bad that evening and I should bring it in. I drove about 140 miles the first day. The second day when I was about a mile from the dealership I noticed smoke coming from the side on the car. When I got to the dealership I noticed the engine oil light was on.
The service manager said the oil gasket cracked and the only oil gaskets that crack are ones that are extremely old or of poor quality. I bought the Subaru Outback new and had all the services done at a qualified service station. I'm certain the dealership installed the filter incorrectly and the life of the engine is at high risk because I drove it almost 300 miles with oil leaking. I've got numerous oil spots on my garage floor.
