This is not a typical review, but our association is unique and I trust that yours would be the same if you were to select Irene Design as your consultant We met Irene at a home show We had been thinking about remodeling the interior of our home, but wanted a design consultant to work with us We contracted with Irene Design to be our consultant During the first visit to our home to take pictures and discuss with us, what we liked and disliked, I pointed out to her that the carrying partition on the first flow did not run parallel to the outside wall Thus, any pattern in the flooring would also appear to diverge from the wall Irene, immediately suggested that the tiles be installed at a degree angle, which totally eliminated the problemWe then continued to work with Irene on the layout of the bathrooms, the wallpaper selection and the carpeting to mention only a small portions of the interactions we had with her in arriving at a design that met our needs and tastes We had differences with Irene, but in each case Irene was always open to our suggestions We would sit and discuss the pros and cons of each change and were always able to arrive at a decision that best met our needsOnce, we had finalized the design, we prepared a bid specification setting out exactly what we expected the contractor to do and what we would supply This bid specification was given to separate contractors including Irene Design It should be noted that Irene had assured us that she would work with whichever contractor we selected to assure us that the design, such as the tile layouts in the bathrooms would be done as she had plannedWhile all four contractor bids were fairly close, Irene Designs bid was slightly less, so we selected them to perform the construction At the same time we had also contracted with an electrician and a painter/wallpaper hanger The electrician did an excellent job, however the painter made some serious errors in prepping the stair case walls for papering After several attempts by the paper hanger to repair the problems, it became evident that all the paper in the stair case would have to be remove, the wall repaired and primed correctly and then repaper the whole area Irene Design, on learning of this said that they would do the repair work at cost to help us out of this difficult situationFor these reasons, we highly recommend Irene Design if you are considering a remodeling project If you would like to discuss our experience with Irene Design, we would welcome your calls

Irene listened to all of our wishes for our bathroom and created a design that not only optimized our space but was beautifulThe 3D design that Irene created really allowed us to visualize what our new space could look like Irene took the time to go shopping with us to help us pick out our tile and fixtures which was beyond helpful- she kept us on task and had a great eye for making sure we matched the products we picked outThey were able to suggest preferred vendors that provides excellent service as wellThe complete remodel process went very smoothly and communication between Irene Design was efficientThey were extremely neat and made sure our house was kept clean with all the traffic going though for all the workNow we truly have a beautiful master retreat!

We discovered Irene from Irene Designs in our attempt to find a designer for our Master Bathroom remodelWe had already started the planning process for this project without the input of a true designer and had begun to move forward However we soon realized that what we really needed and should have done from the beginning was have the expertise of a professional design expert to provide plans, suggestions and ideas that would allow us to maximize our space and ultimately give us the bathroom we wanted This expertise we found in IreneShe met with us, along with her husband Gene an engineer and contractor who is this second part of this team, looked over our bathroom and discussed in detail what we had envisioned for our remodelShe then provided us with multiple 3D renderings of alternative design choices, most of which we had never even considered, which greatly helped in visualizing how our bathroom could look It makes a tremendous difference to see how your room could look from so many different views and gave us a unique opportunity to choose a plan that would best fit our needs Irene is a very talented and insightful designer who is able to find solutions where others may see problems Her suggestions are well thought out taking into considerations the needs and vision of the homeowner allowing for a plan that becomes a realistic collaboration I highly recommend using Irene Designs especially from the onset of your remodeling project planning

We were looking to do a bathroom remodel and were thrilled to find Irene from Irene Designs at our local Home Show Irene Designs is unique in that not only do you get the expertise of a designer, you also get a very skillful contractor in her husband, Gene They are an outstanding team Based on our wishes, Irene created the layout and design of the bathroom while Gene handled the demolition and remodel work Irene has superb vision and design knowledge with strict attention to detail She designed a gorgeous curved soffit which is the highlight of our bathroom along with a perfect tile design Irene, Gene and their team are very professional, easy to work with and were very neat while working in our home They were always available and very responsive to any questions, suggestions or inquiries we had regarding our project - a refreshing change from most contractorsWe are extremely happy with our remodel and Irene and Gene were a pleasure to work with

I am rejecting this response because: Early in the process of handling this situation through the Revdex.com, Irene Designs provided me with the option to have the Master Bathroom leak repaired by my own contractor, utilizing my homeowners insurance. I have done so as Irene Designs' plumber had claimed he "spaces out" and I didn't want their plumber to handle the repairs. They came back to me with a deal indicating that I have to have them repair all items including the leak from the bathroom into my downstairs dining room in order for them to finalize repairs. Also, I have separate contracts with Irene Designs: for my hallway bathroom and for my master bathroom. I feel the billing process is shadey because they somehow over-charged me on my hallway bathroom and my master bathroom, separately, thereby collecting both final payments prior to the work being complete (with the exception of about $200). I did ask *** on one occasion to explain the billing and he advised I should continue to try to figure it out myself. *** told me in December that he still needed to return to finish the caulking in the hallway bathroom. During his final visit to my home on January 4, 2016, I asked him to return to handle the items that were outstanding in both bathrooms. He said he would do so after I began using the master bathroom more, so that I could point out any errors that required repair. Since then, I have practically begged for their return to no avail. The problems began piling up after that. Irene Designs fraudulently charged my Discover card on January 26th and indicated that I approved ---- however, I never approved the charge and in fact, Irene Designs wasn't even at my home on that day. Per the contract, the final payment is not due until the work is complete and I had intended to pay upon completion - as the contract states. Also, even though there is only a $outstanding balance, my credit card was charged for over $1,on 1/26/17. I worked with Discover to have the charge refunded to me. But at this time, although Irene Designs admits there is work to be done, they are still refusing to refund my final payments (one final payment for each bathroom), until the work is done.This seems criminal to me

September 21, I worked with Irene S*** on the remodeling of my Raised-Ranch style homeShe showed me several designs and layouts which helped with the decision making process as I could see what the end result would look likeIrene also suggested some other useful and decorative ideas and assisted me in selecting materials to my taste and style by paying close attention to detail currently in the houseIrene also gave me various ideas to consider possibly for the future She was not "pushy" but wanted to bring up some ideas that I may not consider on my own Irene also ensured that any usable doors, windows, closet doors or whatever that I already had were used if at all possible to save on costsI enjoyed working with Irene, I would use her services again and recommend her for any remodeling projects She has great creative ideas to share, her prices are reasonable and she is a pleasure to work withAlso I would like to comment on the great workers and craftsman associated with Irene Designs From the demolition of walls and the construction of walls, installing windows where there were no windows previously, repairing my hardwood floors where the walls were taken down to the staining and installation of doors, plumbing, heating, electrical, plus a variety of other related items And the tile work – outstanding!!!!!! Wall tiles, floors, showers, I can’t say enough about how beautiful the tile work isAll the workers were very polite, considerate, friendly, and very good at what they do They cleaned up after themselves each day and I had no hesitation having them in my home I would without a doubt use them all again

In my main bathroom project undertaking, I found implementing ideas for updating this project was a difficult task to complete I decided to contact Irene Designs, LLC of Manchester, CT She quickly responded to my in-home free-consultationShe was very helpful, knowledgeable and focused on my particular style Her suggested visual computer schematic was very helpful I feel confident that going forward to completion of this project will be successful and would recommend Irene for any large or small projects that might be considered

We hired Irene Designs, LLC to design and provide construction services for our master bathroom. We wanted to upgrade our shower but, maintain the existing tile around our jacuzzi tub. Due to the layout of our tub and shower, it was a challenge to integrate the existing tile with the new tile however Irene did all the leg work and came up with a design that met our needs perfectly!! The quality of the design and the workmanship was superior!
