Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved becauseThe copy of the contract that was provided by IRN has 4 additional pages of "service terms and conditions" that were not dated, initialized, or signed by me. My original copy does not contain these 4 pages therefore I was never aware of an automatic renewal policy. I want to cancel my service without any penalties.

The letter was faxed on 10/**/2015 and 10/**/2015 to Mr. Raynard T[redacted]' personal fax number [redacted] and the company's main fax number [redacted]. The issue is not resolved, no confirmation of service being cancelled was received at this time from IRN payment systems.

Review: I was told that if I changed my processing to IRN and did not see a reduction in fees that I could cancel my contract without paying a cancellation fee. My fees were actually higher so I canceled my account. They charged me a $1,000 cancellation fee on 6/**/11. After months of trying to resolve the matter with many different representatives from IRN I gave up on trying to get the $1,000 back. On 11/**/2013 I received a call trying to collect a service fee of $553.50. This business is a scam.Desired Settlement: I would like the $1,000 refunded to me and the service fees dropped, but figure that may not be realistic. I am willing to be satisfied with no refund from IRN and no payment from HOH, Inc.

Business

Response:

In reviewing this case I see that this is over 2 years old and this customer was last billed in July of 2011. I do not see anything being billed by IRN for $553.50 in November 2011. I can agree in not asking for $553.50. I hope this resolves this.

Review: The company automatically debited our account $295 saying it was a cancellation fee. We sent a letter of cancellation, and was never told about any cancellation fee with the business. They didn't even send us a bill or notify us, they simply took $295 directly out of our bank account.Desired Settlement: We would like to refunded our $295.

Business

Response:

We were informed by the merchants Sales office to charge them a cancellation fee of $295.00. Since the merchant was never informed of this fee by the sales’ office , the fee will be refunded to the them once we receive fee from his back.

Review: IRN has a policy of automatic renewal for there services, but by NYS law automatic renewal of service has to be accompanied with a month notice of this automatic renewal. This is supposed to consist of a letter that states that if you would like to renew the service ignore the letter otherwise contact the company. I did not receive any such letter or phone call which led me to not know when the automatic renewal was taking affect. I terminated after being with them for 4 yrs and they charged me a early termination fee which was deducted from my checking account but I disputed this with the bank and my bank honored my dispute because thy had no proof or sufficient evidence that they had authorization to charge me. I don't not believe I am responsible for the automatic renewal because I was not contacted or notified about this. They went to a collection agency and now my company is under collection, which is jeopardizing my business reputation.Desired Settlement: I want IRN to stop the actions of the collection agency because I am not at fault here. I want my company to be removed from the collection agencies list and this matter to be settled with my company not being at fault and having to pay an early termination fee.

Business

Response:

While there is no such law governing credit card processing customers we have as a courtesy removed the merchant from collections and closed the account. The merchant was actually told this before he filed the complaint.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: They are not being honest here, they never informed me about anything in the past, All they did is create presser on me to pay them when I refuse to pay them an illegal termination fee they sold my business info to collections to collect. now that I am here for justice they are saying they closed my account and removed my name from collection which is not true at all. I am requesting IRN for the second time to send me an official paper work which will show that they closed my account and take my name off of the collection list. thanks

First off there is nothing illegal in our cancelation fee. There is no law that requires us to send notification and we have informed him and at this point we will send another letter.

Review: I ended my services with IRN in May 2014. I tried to return their credit card processing terminal twice. The second time it was sent back to me with a sticky note saying, "this credit card terminal does not belong to IRN." They charged me $500 for the terminal. On [redacted] that terminal costs $150, and it is out of date. The sales rep I've been communicating with for the past 5 years out right hung up on me while discussing the $500 charge. When I called customer service to try and find someone else to speak with about this issue, I was told to speak with [redacted] at ###-###-####. I have left her 7 messages over the past 3 weeks without ever hearing back from her. I feel the company is avoiding me and the issue at hand. IRN took $500 from me without any provocation and I more than fulfilled my contract.Desired Settlement: IRN should refund my $500. I am willing to mail them the terminal for the 3rd time.

Review: We have been using IRN since 2009. A few months ago we have received a new credit card terminal (which turned out to be an older model and not EMV-compliant) and a charge for the terminal. We called the company inquiring about the terminal and were told it was a replacement for the broken terminal that we had. Our terminal was working just fine and we never requested a replacement. We were surprised by the fact that by October 2015, all credit card terminals should be EMV-compliant, and yet the company sent us an old model which had to be replaced a few months later and charged us for it. This made us look into other processing companies and we found one that offered much better rates. When we called IRN to let them know we were switching, we were told that we were under a contract which was automatically renewed 2 month ago. If we are to cancel the contract, we must pay $295 cancelation fee. We have copies of our original contract that mentions nothing about an automatic renewal. We asked IRN to provide a document showing our signature that we were informed, and agreed to, an annual automatic renewal. They cannot seem to provide this document. We keep getting billing statements from IRN, although we haven't used their services for the past 2 months since we have switched to another credit card processing company. We were told to send a cancelation letter to "cancel the contract" which will result in cancelation fee of $295 being charged to our account.Desired Settlement: I would like to see an original copy of "automatic renewal" agreement showing my signature and the date it was signed. If IRN fails to provide such document, it means that I am not under any contract with that company and the cancelation fee of $295 does not/will not apply to my account.

When the merchant contacted IRN on 8/*/2015 , IRN informed the merchant of the policy and procedures on the contact, the merchant ask if IRN could send a copy to them and we did. To this day IRN never rec’d a letter of cancellation from the merchant. I have attached other copy of the merchant contact that was faxed to them on 8/*/2015.. Review: This company set up a merchant account with the promise of guaranteed lowest rate, direct bank processing, and compliant with QuickBooks Pro 2012 for processing without additional equipment. They never did follow up on the setup on QuickBooks and started charging monthly fees without any cards processed. We have been billed fees plus a $25.00 minimum billing fee for four months now, and in spite of a formal request to close the account it is still open. Another company (Sekure Merchant Solutions) has set us up to process with lower rates and appears to be billing from the same office using Wells Fargo Bank and the same minimum billing fee. I have called leaving messages and have been told several times that someone was working on closing the account. I expect to get credit for the debits from our checking account with closure of the account!Desired Settlement: A refund of charges and closure of the account verification!

Business

Response:

I reviewed the dispute and can confirm we did receive this customer cancellation letter and are in the process of cancelling the account. The fees that were billed to the account totaled $82.25 and they will be refunded. Unfortunately we did try to set this customer up correctly with Quick book pro but it did not work out.

Review: I had been a customer of IRN payment Systems since circa 2008 and I developed a problem with my Card Terminal. I contacted my IRN representative ([redacted]) and she told me she could give me a brand new terminal for a one year contract. I told her I did NOT want another contract with them but did seek a new terminal. [redacted] made arrangements to sell me a new Terminal for two monthly payments of $50.00 (total $100) which was completed on July and August 2012 billing. (copies of billing kept). I told [redacted] I would send the old Terminal back. [redacted] said not to bother just to throw the old terminal away but I elected to send it back anyways. I elected to end services with them May [redacted] 2013 and was told by the cancellation department to fax [redacted] with said cancellation request. The fax was sent at 12:50 on 5-*-2013. IRN then subsequently tried to debit my bank account for early termination of services In June of 2012 for approximately 650 dollars. This debit was stopped by my bank and they have subsequently billed me for same. Repeated calls to them have not resolved these billing issues. They now claim that my contract is auto renewed at 1 year intervals but [redacted] had told me I was NOT under contract but was offering me one at time of terminal purchase. They are attempting to collect a Termination fee of 152.40 and are also billing me 500.00 for the non functional old terminal which was returned to them (and they did not even want it according to [redacted]). A bill for above claim was postmarked July **, 2013 but the said bill is dated June **, 2013. I am concerned for the unscrupulous collection efforts by this business. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, [redacted]Desired Settlement: Complete discontinuation of services with billing balance ZERO.

[redacted],

Base on this customer letter, we have reviewed his case. We have found the termination fee of $152.40 to be valid and the fees for the terminal was billed in error. For this we will now waive the cancellation fee and this customer no longer owes IRN anything. since we never collected the funds we now considered this matter closed. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Review: We had IRN for our merchant services at our business. Upon contract there was a verbal agreement that we could cancel at any time with no fee. The company was taking 3-4 days to deposit funds into our account from the day we ran a credit card. This is far too long to wait for funds to be credited. Our bank we use for checking has next day funds available. I inquired with IRN what the process was for cancellation. I was told I had to fax over a signed letter, which I never did. A week later $295 was debited from my business checking account for cancellation and not even a call from IRN. I tried to contact the person I had the verbal agreement with and left many messages. When she finally did answer she was quick, rude and said I have to pay the fee and hung the phone up on me. It was very unprofessional. far different from when she was in my office "selling " me IRN services. Now that I am no longer a customer does not give someone the right to treat me like that.Desired Settlement: I just want [redacted] from IRN to honor her word and refund us the $295 cancellation fee.

Response:

Base on the customer contract and complaint, I have review this and found that the fees were valid. At no point does IRN take 3-4 business days to deposit. Its always 2 days. What probably happened here was that there bank help the funds for an extra day or 2. I'm sorry if he felt mistreated but the contract is valid and the reason they have gave was their own banks fault. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
