problem was resolved 3full refund of 1500.00 has been returned

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
These are receipts for $0, to clear the evap codes from the original vehicle inspection.  This proves nothing. Where are the originals? These are duplicates. Where is receipt for front end vibration repair that was claimed twice?where is the purge valve repair receipt?parts and labor? i replaced purge valve myself, so I didnt have to go back to these guys. Didn't fix the problem. $28i replaced the gas cap, so I didnt have to go back to these guys. Didn't fix the problem. $12i also replaced the squealing fan belt myself, so I didnt have to go back to these incompitents. $18i took the truck to the local tire company to rotate tires (which solved vibration, but still needs allignment) $50

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

Review: Went to Island Auto Buyers L.T.D on May ** 2014 to look at cars. I saw a car that we liked and put a deposit of 500.00 cash. On Saturday I received a call that the car was ready to be picked up and I needed to put insurance on the car so they could register it. I purchased insurance ($809.00 Down payment) and the insurance broker faxed the insurance cards to Island Auto Buyers. I went there to pickup the car and was told that the car had a blown motor and was no longer for sale. The salesmen had me look on the lot for another car however noe of them were in my price range. I asked for my deposit back and was told they only send our refund checks every other Friday. So far I have not gotten my deposit back however they keep calling my house saying that they have other cars for me to look at. All I want is my money(deposit) back ...Desired Settlement: I would like my deposit of 500.00 dollars back.

We informed him that he would be issued a refund on Fri June * as all refunds come from our corporate office every Friday. His refund is ready and we are waiting for [redacted] to come to the dealership to pick it up. Thank you.

Review: I purchased a vehicle back in January from this dealership and from the very beginning there have been nothing but issues. The car had to go back to the dealer for repairs at least once a week. Upon picking up the car, I was charged more money for the repairs that I was not responsible for. I have owned this car for 3 months now and we have yet to receive the title and registration for the vehicle. Upon calling the dealership about this issue, they told us they were not aware of this issue until today (4/**/14) but we bought the car on January **, 2014.Desired Settlement: To have the car fixed so that the engine light does not come on without any further cost to me.

Business

Response:

[redacted] purchased her vehicle from us and approximately 2 weeks later after taking delivery the check engine light went on. We replaced the O2 sensor for [redacted] and she was satisfied with the repair. She was also aware that the vehicle was covered for 30 days under the NY State lemon law warranty. Island Auto Buyers never heard back from her after leaving several messages in reference to her prior registration that we needed a copy of to be able to transfer her plates. We finally heard back from her on 4/**/2014 when she realized her temporary registration was due to expire.[redacted] gave us the documentation and her vehicle is now in the process of being resolved. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused her.

Review: I went to Island Auto Buyers in November of 2013 to Inquire about purchasing a car. I met with the [redacted] and did the required paperwork. I gave the [redacted] a $300 dollar deposit in cash. After two weeks of no response about the vehicle I decided not to continue with the process. I requested a refund back. [redacted] informed me I would recieve my money within a week. After a wekk I contacted [redacted] again. He told me another story that my refund was being processed and in the mail. Two more weeks went by no refund. I made a phone call to [redacted] on numerous occassions and he continues to tell me different stories. I have gone down to the office within the last month and tried to resolve the matter in person in a professional manner. [redacted] has not been Professional about the matter and Gives me an Attitude when I inquire about my Money. When you are a customer You expect to recieve good services and You expect the business owner to be courteous and professional. I asked for the [redacted] name so I could speak to Him and he refused to give me the [redacted] name. I would like my refund back and not do Business with a company that does not stand behind Their name.Desired Settlement: Refund - The Business has a Responsibility to Provide Good Customer Service to Their Clients and remain professional at all times.

Review: on 3/**/15 me and my mother went to look at a car to this dealer island auto buyers ltd. we saw a car I like. we spoke to [redacted] called [redacted].he verbally told as that, he was getting me approved to finance the car at $250.00 a month and to give him a cash deposit of $200.00 or more to get me approved to the loan. I gave him $200.00 cash. an hour latter he called me to tell me that I get approved but to pay $450.00 a month I told him I cant afford that payment its to high for me. he kept putting pressure on me to purchase the car, I say no because he had say to me that I was only going to pay $250.00 a month. we told him no to this deal, we told him we are coming to get my $200.00 deposit he said ok. when we got there, he told us to give him back my receipt and that he can not give us the money back, until the following week on Friday and until now we have not receive my $200.00 we call him several times and he keep telling us to give him our copy of our receipt. he was extremely verbally abusive and rude to us. we did not know what to do and we called the police and he told us to get out of the building on a cold weather to wait for the police outside. the policeman said to go to court that was all. I believe that business man like this should not be in business. he took my $200.00 by lying to me. to me $200.00 mean a lot of money I am a single mom of two little kids.Desired Settlement: I want my $200.00 to be refunded as soon as possible. if possible to this complaint to be public so this Dealer dos not do this to another consumer. the [redacted] also kept all my personal information, and didn't give it back to me,I want all my paperwork back.

Response:

on 3/**/15 [redacted],her mother and father came to our dealership, (island auto buyers) ref.to 2006 infinity qx56 that they had seen advertised on the internet. Upon arrival they were greeted by our sales rep [redacted] who in a very professional manner proceeded to show them the vehicle after pointing out several cosmetic item of concern. After agreeing to taking care of their concern [redacted] and company were offered a Demo ride. After the demo ride they stated they were very happy with the way it road.so matt then brought the customers in to write up the buyers order and proceed to move forward in the buying process, [redacted] who was the buyer of the vehicle was satisfied with what was offered. but the mother on the other hand wasn't she had stated that she wanted to do better on the price, even thought our price was considerately lower then the competition.so I [redacted] the [redacted] and who also handles the financing. was asked to assist in the sale. I try to explain that the price that we had advertise which was a very aggressive price, I had very little room to neg. the still not happy...after going back and forth I had agreed to take care of the cosmetic concern and lower the price by $600.00.so the mother finally agreed. Now we started discussing finance option the mother before she continued wanted to know what her payment was going to be.I explained to her that it depended on credit, mother still wasn't happy she wanted to know the payment so I stated that base on $ 2000.00 down payment it could be as low as 250. to 260 a month. If qualified.so I ask her about her credit she told me she thought it was good. I told her it shouldn't be a problem that I work the bank very hard for our customers. She finally decided to buy the vehicle. After leaving a $ 200.00 deposit I told her I would work on it right away for her. After summiting the credit app it turns out her credit was challenge she had a lot of collection and charge offs..I finally got the deal approved with 2300.00 down and a payment of 340.00 to 355.00 a month payment. Once I notified [redacted] she was happy. But the mother wasn't .she decided to cancel her purchase. She came right back to us and demanded her money back. I then tried to explain to her the refund policy. process that we do not give back CASH and that she needed to turn in her yellow copy of her receipt, that refund cks are mailed out on Fridays ONLY. She then started to make a scene in the showroom and threaten to call the police which she did. After the police officer arrived I had explained our refund policy and showed him where it was posted in several location in the showroom. With the yellow copy in her hand the policy officer had explain in detail what she needed to do to get her refund. She disagreed, wasn't happy with what he told her and left...she called several times demanding her deposit and I keep telling her that she will get her deposit back when she drops off the yellow copy of her receipt. This process is put in place to prevent future problems...[redacted]

Response:

We understand your concern and have since mailed the paperwork that you left behind. As far as your payment due to the bank that takes anywhere from 30-45 days after you take delivery. The bank will send you a bill that does not come from Island Auto Buyers. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist you. Thank you .
