Revdex.com:
I met with the owner of It Takes on Sept in reference to complaint ID ***Identifying the cause of the issue as an internal breakdown of communication with a past employee that mistakenly resulted in an inactive account status, and with assurance of future proactive attention, I have agreed to give the business another opportunity to fulfill the contract and perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolvedIf the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: c***
I thank you for your assistance in this matterRegards,

We have a meeting scheduled on Sept,to discuss with this member what our records indicate regarding her membership and to hopefully resolve this matterWe will send an update following are scheduled meetingIf you have any questions please feel free to contact us.Respectfully,It Takes

I just received notification that the case is closedI was unavailable to enter any comments during the allotted timeHowever, I am NOT satisfied with their responseAlthough their contract may state this, their practice of not listening to my wants is something that is unacceptable and poor businessSince their contract language is "loose" (i.e., "that most closely meet the characteristics", and I fully understand that they cannot guarantee a match), I do not feel that their best effort was attempted*** Dleft me a voicemail before responding to this complaintHowever, when I returned her call (the same day), I had to leave a voicemail and never heard back. Again, not very professionalIn response to specific notations in their response:
"Ms***'s first introduction fit all of the specific qualifications requested on her profile."
He did not fit all qualificationsHe was heavyset, which was completely not a qualification of mine. He also lived in ***, which is more than an hour from RichmondI specifically stated I wanted someone in the area"Taking her request into consideration we sent Ms*** a gentleman that fit her qualifications"
He did not meet all of my qualifications because his child was Yet again, they did not meet my criteria of no or preferred older children" Ms*** refused to meet her third introduction because of his children’s ages."
Yes, I did refuse because, yet again, they did not meet my criteria of no or preferred older childrenThese children were under Multiple times I expressed extreme concern about this and it's one of the highest priority items of qualifications. The refusal was also due to the fact that he was only separated and not divorcedAnother extremely important factor"We then sent Ms.*** a fourth introduction in which she said he was not attractive enough."
There were other issues, such as the lack of common interests and his lack of eye contact when talking to meThey again did not meet the physical attractiveness that I had expressed multiple times (slender or athletic build)I never received feedback from them regarding the dates I did go on, which is something *** stated to me in person when I signed the agreementI obviously gave them a great amount in detail in the few email examples they used in their response.
At this point, it appears that they are not willing to provide any type of refund. I want these comments added to my complaint and the complaint closed as I was not satisfied*** ***.***@***Cell: ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThe company It Takes is not able to meet the agreed upon conditions as verbally stated during the time of the interviewI specifically asked several times if their data base was wide enough to accommodate my needs and I was verbally assured that it could do so. Unfortunately I don't have any notes to prove this, but I feel that the company led me to sign up for its services under promisesThe first mewas pushed on both me and the other personNeither one of us wanted to engage in a long distance relationshipThis was made clear to all parties before the introductionIt Takes persisted in requiring that we meetWe did so, only to reiterate that it was a very poor matchUpon reviewing the contract, I see that it is only before the acceptance of the first methat one can escape the conditions set by the contractI understand now why it was so important for the company to have me accept the first meet-upThis condition was not explained to me at the time of my initial contact with the companyThe second proposed mewas so far off the agreed upon parameters that it was actually insulting and just went on to prove that It Takes misrepresented its ability to meet its contracted obligation. I understand that the contract says I cannot get a refund, but I am upset that the company convinced me to sign the contract based on promises that it had plenty of clients meeting my parameters in my area (According to their response to my initial Revdex.com complaint, they think I live in ***, which is not even the case!) It has been over three months since I signed up for the service, and the company has only provided me with two suggested matches, one of which lived over miles away from me, and the other of which did not meet my parameters. I don't think they will be able to fulfill their end of the contract

Tell us why hereIn response to complaint # *** Re: Ms*** I’m very sorry to hear that Ms*** is dissatisfied with
our service as we are very committed to assisting all of our clients with their
social goals and have been since Ms*** was referred to It
Takes by a friend who was having a positive experience
with our services. I was very surprised
to receive this complaint as I just had a conversation with Ms*** on 9/17/15. After not hearing from her since she had
received her last introduction on 4/27/ I explained to Ms*** that her membership had expired pursuant
to paragraph 3) of our agreement which states that, “it is the client’s
responsibility to provide feedback after each and every introduction” Ms*** stated in that conversation on 9/17/that she had
provided us with feedbackSince we had no record of Ms*** feedback and after
searching all of our emails to confirm, we indeed never received any feedback from
her. I asked her to look in her emails and resend
it to us which she agreed to do the following week because she said she was
busyI told her that would fine We never heard back from Ms*** and instead received this complaint We would have been happy to continue working
with Ms*** had
she provided the requested feedback Ms*** states she was
pressured but she also stated she was given a, “detailed” explanation of the
agreementMs*** agreed to and signed both a client agreement and an additional agreement that
states she understood the, “Hold” policy which was not an included feature on
her program and also our “Non-refundable” policy Ms*** states that she believes her membership was cancelled
because we had no one to match her with.
Ms*** membership
was terminated because she did not have a, “Hold” feature and she allowed her
membership to terminate Ms*** states that we
called an introduction and begged him to rejoin the service Ms*** did receive an introduction that had a positive
experience with It Takes and wanted to continue working with us and therefore rejoined our
services. We carefully take in all
feedback provided. Feedback is a crucial
part of our matchmaking process as it allows us to fine tune all introductions. It Takes provides clients with the names
and information of individuals that most closely meet the characteristics
specified by clientIt Takes prides itself on being the largest and oldest
personalized introduction service in Central VirginiaWe offer an alternative
to internet dating and our clients appreciate the fact that the individuals are
being vetted and screened prior to them being introduced to one anotherIt is
most unfortunate that although we try our very best to please all of our clients
that is not always possibleWe cannot honor Ms*** refund request. If you have any further questions please feel
free to contact us.Respectfully,
It Takes

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I continue to believe that this company can not meet what had ben agreed upon based on the lack of ability to do so since the onset.I still want a refund. It is incredulous that all of a sudden they have 12 introductions for me when my contract calls for 12. This company is trying really hard to bilk me.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

Because our business provides an individual, personalized service, occasionally we experience some challenges with customer communication, and we consistently strive to improve the way we do business and deliver great results for our clients.  The above Complaint posted on the Revdex.com website is an example of such a challenge in customer communications, and It Takes 2  contacted this customer directly to discuss a prompt and equitable resolution of her complaint.Importantly, It Takes 2 is a business, and its relationship with its customers is governed by a legally enforceable contract.  Although the law implies in every business contract a standard of reasonableness, there is no legal requirement that It Takes 2’s custom matchmaking services be completed within a certain amount of time. Ms. [redacted] and I met on Sept. 21st to review and discuss her dissatisfaction with our services. We came to an agreement that we would keep the lines of communication open and discuss potential introductions with her prior to sending them to her. This is not a standard practice but I feel hopeful it will regain Ms. [redacted] faith in our services. I appreciate Ms. [redacted] giving us an opportunity to continue working with It Takes 2 and look forward to a positive outcome as a result of our discussion. Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.Respectfully,It Takes 2

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID
[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my
complaint.  For your reference, the business made no offer to resolve my
complaint.I strongly believe that fair
warning should be provided to any potential members of this service. Things are
not what they seem; this is false advertising. Ms. D[redacted] covers her tracks
very well by offering no refunds; therefore understand you will have no options
whatsoever if you are dissatisfied or if they don’t hold up their end of the
agreement. I know I am not the only single professional that has experienced
false advertising with this services based on the similar complaints still
active with the Revdex.com. The fact that Ms. D[redacted]
never addressed the content of my initial complaint should be warning enough
for potential members. After several bad introductions, I followed up with both
emails and phone calls to It Takes 2. I requested from It Takes 2 staff an
opportunity to come back into their office and discuss my relationship goals
and qualities I was searching for in a partner. Ms. D[redacted] declined; after
paying so much and being offered personalized service, it seemed to be an
inconvenience for staff to even speak to me about my experiences much less to
offer any “date coaching”.  I clearly explained to Ms. D[redacted] and
subsequently her associate Ms. Sophie B[redacted] that I wanted matches that were
Christian. Two of my four introductions did not met this very basic criteria. After
paying a premium for “personalized service” and having multiple matches not
even being the same religion as me when I stressed that quality as being
important, I should be able to directly (face-to-face) provide feedback to the
It Takes 2 staff as there must have been miscommunication on preferences from
my initial interview, subsequent emails they claimed to have not received, and
phone calls that I have documentation of making.Ms. D[redacted] repeatedly tries to
sell her services by playing on any previous bad experiences with online
dating. Ms. D[redacted]’s true problem with online dating sites are that they are
taking her business. Take the time to think about this before you sign up. Things
are quite different in the social media world than when this business was
started in 15 years ago. Being the “oldest” certainly does not make one the
best at their business.Buyer beware – It Takes 2 has a
small number of members; they will not try very hard to find you compatible
matches even on your basic match criteria; they will make you feel bad for not
compromising your criteria as they don’t have members that meet your criteria;
they will offer you no options if you are dissatisfied. Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. It is apparent that It Takes 2 is skewing its responses and rationales to its own advantage. Their retort contains exaggerations and untruths. This company offers services that can not be fulfilled and has little regard to its client's needs. It  knows how to hook a client and knows how to extort money from them in a seemingly binding "contract".I want a full refund.

Takes 2

Hi[redacted],I spoke with [redacted] [redacted] on the phone this week. It seems she wants to settle with a compromise. She has sent me an email stating that she is getting in touch with the AG's department for advice. I am on hold until I hear back from her.

Revdex.com spoke with the business. They have at least 12 matches in their system for this customer but they can't give a time frame of when they would go out because they can chance at anytime and it depends on both parties not just one client. They will reach out to the customer to discuss the terms and make sure they have the guidelines correct and understand the entire issue.

Dear[redacted],

1. It Takes 2 offers “to provide Client with the names and other information of individuals that most closely meet the characteristics specified by Client”, as stated in Item 1 of Ms. [redacted]’s contract.  Item 7 of the contract explicitly states that, “It Takes 2 makes no guarantees or warranties, expressed or implied.” To date, the agreement, in its entirety, has been fully upheld by It Takes 2.
Ms. [redacted] has been sent 2 of her 12 introductions and has made a conscious choice to only meet one of these men. Though Ms. [redacted] has chosen to focus on the one thing that she didn't like about each of her introductions, both of these gentlemen very closely met the characteristics specified by Ms [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] did not specify distance as a deal breaker prior to receipt of her first introduction and, the individual with whom she was introduced, fell within all of her specified parameters. Her second introduction met all but one of her preferred parameters, which we thoroughly discussed with her prior to sending the introduction. She told us to introduce her to this gentleman, after receiving full disclose about his marital status. Per our agreement, Ms. [redacted] is not entitled to any additional introductions. In the spirit of compromise, we are willing to make a one time exception and bonus Ms. [redacted] one introduction, bringing her total remaining introductions to 11.
2. Per Ms. [redacted]'s agreement, introductions are not time sensitive, especially since we have no way to predict the feedback that we will receive from the client. (e.g. Ms. [redacted] lives in [redacted], drove to our sole office in Glen Allen for her consultation, agreed to meet men throughout Central Virginia, and then drastically reduced her geographic parameters after receiving her first introduction.)
Thank you for your time and please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

This letter is in response to the dissatisfaction of [redacted] and Revdex.com Case #[redacted]. We are very sorry to hear of her dissatisfaction. In her initial consultation, Ms. [redacted] provided Ms. [redacted] with a realistic portrayal of the dating pool for...

women who are 5’9” and over 60 years old, through It Takes 2 and otherwise, and explained that introductions cannot be scheduled. Ms. [redacted] then chose to become a client of It Takes 2 on August 6, 2014 and agreed to purchase a membership that included 12 introductions. When Ms. [redacted] initially became a client, she specified that she was open to meeting men throughout Central Virginia. 8 business days later, Ms. [redacted] received her first introduction to [redacted], whom she met in[redacted] where she lives. She provided feedback that [redacted], who met allof her preferred parameters, was a very nice gentleman and that they had a niceconversation over lunch. She then limited future introductions to the[redacted] area. A few weekslater, we called [redacted], explained that we had recently enrolled a tall, attractive, educated, successful gentleman in [redacted] who had filed fora divorce that hadn’t gone through yet, but that he had been single andseparated for more than a year. We explained to [redacted] that she and [redacted]were very compatible but, since she previously specified that she’d prefer todate someone who was fully divorced, we just wanted to run it by her and giveher the option. She told us thatshe wanted to meet him, we sent out the introduction, and she set up a datewith [redacted]. We then receive a call from [redacted], saying that [redacted] canceledtheir date at the last minute.I called [redacted], explained to her that the reason why we called her first, instead ofsending her an introduction to someone outside of her preferred parameters, wasto ensure that none of our clients are put in an uncomfortable position. Iexplained to her how her actions made [redacted] feel, and requested that she give ustruthful answers to our questions in the future, as the feelings of all of ourclients are just as important to  us as hers are.She agreed and I told her that we would continue our search on her behalf. After onlymeeting 1/12 of her contracted introductions, Ms. [redacted] has prematurelyconcluded that, “the company is not really able to deliver on its promises.”After many hoursof speaking with Ms. [redacted] and many more hours of working on her behalf, shechose to file a complaint with the Revdex.com, rather than follow the process that we reviewedwith her on no less than 3 occasions since she became a client, less than 3months ago.Pursuant to thebox to the right of her signature on her agreement with It Takes 2, servicesare "Non-Refundable." Our desired settlement issimply that Ms. [redacted] review and honor the contract she signed when shejoined It Takes 2. Pursuant to the agreement, services are non-refundable.Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions orconcerns.  Sincerely,[redacted]
