Review: They lied, saying that the service would be for life time when I was first charged the high fee.

Then at the end they denied that time frame and said their service was only for 3 months.Desired Settlement: I am willing to pay the fee of $199 once for their services, but not twice because they lied to me about the time frame.

Subject: Complaint

Please cancel my complaint. The company called me back and gave full refund.

Thanks.

Review: I selected the website thinking it was an official Microsoft Support site. I talked to a person named [redacted].

(Phone No. ###-###-#### Ext. 1010). I let him come into my computer and he checked my files, and at a certain point as my files were scrolling through they suddenly had a red background. **. [redacted] indicated that my computer had been hacked by several hackers. He indicated that apparently my computer would be compromised in approximately 7 days. He said that it would cost $400.00 to be quickly repair. With payment it could cleaned up and be protected for lifetime.

I told him I couldn't afford that amount my wife had just passed away. He said that he would cut the amount to $200.

Not being a scam or computer guru I took the bait. I gave him my [redacted] Card and he transferred my computer to what I found out was Itechline. They were on my computer for about 30 minutes and then they returned my computer and returned it to my care. I received an E-mail that verified that I had been billed $199.95 for Free three months software support. At this point I knew I had been scammed. I canceled my [redacted] card and got a new one. There was a great amount of time changing the [redacted] with my preferred accounts. I certainly would not call Itechline for help now.

The little problems I had are still there but are minor now. I can't see where anything else has changed for better or worse. I think I was duped by **. [redacted] and his "Service".Desired Settlement: A check mailed to my home address quickly. I shouldn't have spent the money in the first place. The [redacted] account I charged to no longer exists.

Review: itechline misrepresented their services as "[redacted] SUPPORT" and said they were the computer repair service for [redacted] Internet Security.

[redacted] Internet Security denies this and said it was a scam, after I called to double check with them after the service had begun.

[redacted] says no fee is ever charged for any client repairs/support at all.

iTechline looked remotely at my PC & Laptop and said they found "60% corrupt files in each and 6 foreign network hackers in my network. That they would fix the corrupted files, and encrypt my network".

They charged $199.99 each to my [redacted] card which they said they needed first. It was too late to back out so I had to call [redacted] and cancel my card, but it was too late to cancel the charges so Monday I need to call and refute these 2 charges of $199.99 each.

[redacted] reps said if my files had been 60% corrupted neither computer would have started at all. [redacted] said that this was a lie. They also told me that a network cannot be encrypted, that was a lie.

They said they never charge for customer service or support once the [redacted] Internet Security has been purchased.

I called and no one answers the phone so I emailed itechline and they responded to say that they will not refund my money.

The Case ID number they assigned was US/10051419 and Sunni J? was the contact person, but 4 others also were on phone with me during the time they remotely looked at my computers.Desired Settlement: Refund of 2 payments to itechline for $199.99 each. As they misrepresented themselves as affilated with my [redacted] Internet Security I am stating it is fraud.

They should be put out of business.

I have since looked online and found numerous similar complaints against them.

I have also contacted the MA Attorney Generals Office to pursue this.

Review: I was on [redacted] Cable's email server, and was having problems. I got a popup saying your computer has a problem. Thinking it was [redacted] Cable, as they said they did not sell ad space on their email site. I followed up with the service to fix the problem. I was charged $149.99 by Itechline for services they did not provide. Yet their contract form they faxed [redacted] Credit Card Services clearly states they will provide "7" days of tech support for my $149.99.

I am a retired disabled Social Security Disability recipient. $149.99 is a ton of money out of my disability check., not only did they not fix my computer problem, but they made my computer "CRASH!" After they were done remotely working on my computer, they asked me to say I was satisfied. How would I know what they did? I know they went into my registry and started changing stuff. If I was a computer nerd I would have fixed it myself.

After they were done, I had to leave for my doctor's appointment, and I turned my computer off. When I turned it back on, "I GOT NOTHING!" I immediately tried to call them back, and all I got was music, and after over an hour, "multiple times" I would be disconnected. For five days this went on using my land line speaker phone on hold listening to their music, with nothing but music.

After three days I called [redacted] Credit Card Services (*My credit card company) to dispute the charge.

I called [redacted] tech support to fix my computer, and it took over 3-hours to unfix their changes to my computer! I fought the charge since their "SERVICE WARRANTY" that they sent [redacted] Credit Card Services says they guarantee their work for "7" days. However, their phone support line only supplied "MUSIC!" NO WAY TO LEAVE A CALL BACK #, MESSAGE PERIOD! Had I been able to get an answer, or at the very least be able to leave a message, I would not feel so "RIPPED OFF!"

Their rep contacted me about a month after the 11-28-13 disputed charge, and said he was sorry for the problem. He was in India, and could not do anything about a refund. The dispute has been continuing with Itechline sending the 7-day guarantee in early 2014. 4-28-14 letter from [redacted] says they could not dispute it any further, as Itechline refused to issue a refund.Desired Settlement: If Itechline is going to continue in business, then they need to supply their customers before any work is started, with multiple avenues to be able to obtain the services they say they are buying. When you cannot get to a live operator, leave a message, or have a email address you feel ripped off.

Response:

Thank you for notifying us of this complaint. With regards to

this case, we would first of all like to apologize to **. [redacted]

for any sort of inconvenience caused however, at the same time we would like to

set the record straight that ITechLine does not indulge in any fraudulent or

malicious activities with its customers.

On receiving the chargeback case no. [redacted] from **. [redacted], we performed a thorough investigation of the calls and

recordings that took place and our quality team did not find any evidence which

would justify the customer's claim and we went ahead and provide all evidences

to the bank, upon confirmation from the bank we won the chargeback.

We hope the Revdex.com considers the above mentioned points and closes

this case.

Thank you

Review: I thought I was calling [redacted] Security Protection for computers. I reached itechline which informed me they do tech support for [redacted] I later leaarned that was not true.

I was having a problem with hackers on my computer. Itechline was suppose to clean up the problem and said they would encrypt my computer ip address.

this was on 5/2/2013. On 5/4/2013 I was hacked again. I called [redacted] and was informed Itechline is not one of there partners. [redacted] did help me with the hacker situation.

They also check to see if my ip adress was encrypted and it is not. I was told that it would be and I would never need to worry about hackers again. That lasted 1 day.

Can you please help me with this situation.Desired Settlement: I want the $199.00 I was charged refunded to my account. It came out of my account on 5/02/2013 which was my first contact with them.

Review: On December 5th, 2012, I was contacted by these people as my computer slowed down and wasn't responding right. I had Kaspersky Anti-virus protection but it disappeared from my computer. I was not aware when.

This company told me that they could remotely clean my computer for a one time fee of $199.00 and I would never have trouble again. I believed them and o.k.'d it. They cleaned my computer, it took two days and I gaave my charge card number and they too the money. Now on 4/5/2013 I was again contacted by these people who said my computer was being hacked and they could clean it up for me and protect it again. It cost another $199.00 and they asked for and spoke to my nephew and did it to him, too. We live in the same house and they told him he must do it, too. They asked us for our birthdates, too, as they needed them to re-set us. We foolishly gave them. Now when I got the bill on my email I noticed that it had a different name, but when I called them and asked them about it they assured me they were the same company. This was now called Infotechline., with an address of [redacted] I re-thought it and cancelled payment and creditcard. My nephew did pay them the $199.00, though.

I am not sure if Itechline is the same company but it does not matter at this point because they told me that I would have no problems anymore after I paid them to fix my computet. Three months later, this occured. Thank you for any help in this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back as this was fraudulent and I am having trouble with my computer. They said I would be all set and this was a one-time fix. Not true. And could you let me know if the same company called the second time or if, indeed , they are different but lying, if I should have my nephew file a separpate complaint against them?

Review: Thought I was calling Microsoft. Person I spoke to said I had a Trojan and 6000 corrupted files. They said they could fix the problem. Turns out they weren't Microsoft. Seems I'm not the only one who had a Trojan and was told they had 6000 corrupted files. (they told someone else the exact same thing within a week of my contacting them!) Had I known they weren't Microsoft, I would have gone to [redacted] , my antivirus provider and gotten this done for free! I went to my credit card company and they told me that because ITech rendered a service, they couldn't dispute the charge. My credit card company did say that I was probably scammed. And in fact I was. As I later did a search on them to see that they are scam artists. I have a desktop they worked on and a laptop. I was charged $199.99 2 times - once for each computer. I would like to get my money back as they told bold face lies about my computers. Can you help?

Review: I had a licensing question for [redacted]. ITech Line posed as [redacted] support on a Google web search, then the technician created a new problem that didn't exist. They discovered 26,000 Trojan infected files on my computer they could fix for $199. I then phoned the real [redacted] support line who stated [redacted] never charges for subsequent problems. I scanned my system after the ITech Line analysis with both [redacted] and Malwarebytes software, neither finding a single infected file. ITech Line's analysis was fraudulent and their tactic was to frighten the unsuspecting.Desired Settlement: Expose these fraudulent business practices.

Review: I requested that ITech check the operating system of my computer, as there seemed to be a problem. I was told the service was $199.00; I gave them my credit card.

When I first called, I asked if they were affiliated with [redacted]; they responded that they work with their products, software, etc. I took that to be "Yes." After many hours and days, they could not repair the operating system. They kept saying we'll get back to you. Nothing happened, it was quite obvious that they could not fix the problem.. [redacted], who is in the financial office, spoke with me requesting that I give their"best" technician one more chance when I told him that I was filing a complaint and wanted a refund if they could not resolve the problem. I agreed to give the technician one more opportunity to correct the problem. The last technician tried to correct the problem once more, but could not because the technician before had changed all the setting back to default. I have lot all my files and reports. I have to replace my computer.

Review: On 8/31 of this year we contacted what we thought was Microsoft support and ITechline came up first on our search. They claimed my daughter needed support for a Trojan virus and charged us $199.99 and proceeded to run her laptop, [redacted] then claimed that our desktop was corrupted and told us we to fix this computer as well, running this computer and claiming we had visited a sex site on 7/16 charging us an additional $199.99 for their services stating that both computers were protected for the next three months for this fee. It was no more than a month that my daughter's laptop had 42 viruses that needed to be taken care of, After doing some research I have found this to be a fraudulent company. I have spoken with said [redacted] who state we will never get our money back. I work hard for my money and want these criminals put away so this never happens to any more innocent consumers. Please help me get my money back and stop this fraudulent behavior.Desired Settlement: I paid $199.99 for the laptop and $199.99 for my desktop on 8/31/13.

Review: I was contacted by itechline.com and was offered services for computer repair. I paid $200.00 per my Visa, and spent several hours with someone on line who was supposed to be ridding my computer of viruses. Apparently, whatever was done only added issues rather than alleviateting any. I contacted them repeatedly and my calls and e-mails were unanswered. I was unable to adequately use my computer for months, as I had no more money for repairs.

This happened in August of 2013. In the last few months I was contacted again. Desperately hoping for help, I spoke with them again, stressing that I would pay no more money. I allowed them access to my computer, and again was not helped. As it turned out, the person was just trying to charge me again.

I regret not contacting you sooner. I am disabled and not in good health, and this is so unfair! Other senior citizens are at risk.

Itechline is a scam! I do not want anyone else to be taken in by fraudulant tactics.Desired Settlement: I want my money back in full, and I never wish to hear from itechline again!

They have had numerous complaints and use alias, and they prey on unsuspecting people!

I would like to see you do something to put them out of business!!!!!

Review: I was scammed by this company. I believe they sent out a fake Windows update and then I found them by using [redacted] Help in Google but no one else gets them if they put in [redacted] Help, so I think they manipulated my search results. The update was done and I lost my desktop and bookmarks. When they performed their "service", they installed a firewall which I could have gotten for free and told me my computer was badly infected, which it was not and they told me I should be very worried. They did nothing I couldn't have done for free and they misrepresented themselves. I made them assure me they would provide a detailed invoice and they didn't, even though I and my husband called them five or six times. They put programs on my computer that I didn't authorize and I had to pay to have taken off. I don't know what else they did to my computer. I was on the phone with them for hours. They provided fake names and when they remoted out to my computer, it showed a different name. They said I was entitled to three month's "free service" but they made me pay $199.99 and they did nothing for it. What they got back for me was on my computer all the time. I am a teacher and a volunteer. I cannot afford to lose $199.99 for nothing. They completely panicked me by saying my computer was badly infected. They took my money and still have not provided a detailed invoice although they were asked many times to do this. Now, they do not come up when I search [redacted] help. I don't know how many other innocent people they scammed but they should be stopped.Desired Settlement: I want to get a money order or to have my debit card refunded the $199.99. Your agency should protect people from being victimized by these fraudulent business that drum up business by sending out scams to innocent, hard working people.

Review: I-Tech Line presented itself as support for [redacted] when I was having issues with my printer. They then informed me that I had "thousands of issues" on my computer and that they could be removed for a fee. Shortly after, we began to receive phone calls from their representatives, and continued to want to monitor our computer. We felt right away that this was not legit, and complained to our credit card company, which helped us to get our money back. In over a year later, representatives from I-Tech continue to call and bother us. Despite our asking to be removed from their call list, they continue to call. Specifically, I received a call from them on Monday (6-16-14) and when I again told them that I don't want to have interaction with them and wanted to be removed from their call list, the person on the other end of the line actually asked "What will you do if we don't remove you from the list?" I can't help but feel that they blatantly disregard requests and continue to badger our family, and no doubt other families as well!Desired Settlement: We want the people of I-Tech to STOP contacting our family!

Review: I believe I was scammed into paying 199.99 for a service to my computer of which I didn't need. And would like a refund so I can take my computer to a legitimate company to see what might have been done to its security. I gave them my credit card number and gave them access to my computer . They seemed to have erased all the anti -malware from my computer.Desired Settlement: A credit to my account for the amount of the charge for the service which is $199.99

Review: first I was led by itechline that they were a [redacted] co. they ask for 150,00 while I asked there rep do I get a 30 day trial. I was mislead my computer was hacked into I also use [redacted] for my mail some how they have changed my password but it won't even let me change my [redacted] password I have k to some one read over 50 email about them all bad if some one does not do it im going to get a class action suit. I have much more info but I would like to talk toDesired Settlement: my money
