If what J&G says is true then why did UPS deliver the second package to the Post Office yesterday? The fact is when I asked the clerk at the UPS customer center why the first package was left there she told me the sender had requested it. There were two parts to my order shipped from different warehouses;I have attached the screen shot that shows the second half of my order being delivered on Monday.
J&G is trying to find any excuse to not accept responsibility for their mistake . The simple fact that the second half of my order was delivered shows that there was nothing wrong with how it was addressed and it was clearly there fault that the first package was not delivered.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Their entire statement is a series of half-truths and outright untruths. They have never acknowledged truthfully to us their responsibility for the condition of the rifle. It didn’t just have a defect… It was in terrible condition. Their statement that they sent a refund rather than a replacement because we couldn’t be pleased is absurd since we were satisfied with the other rifle sent. In fact, in the past, we had ordered and kept five of these rifles from J&G Sales that were acceptable. When the rifle arrived in terrible condition, I felt I had to try to clean it up to see for sure how terrible it was and not just caked on dirt and grime in the bore /chamber. We believe they sent a refund rather that a replacement to be vindictive since I told them in no uncertain terms what I thought of the very poor condition of the rifle.  Firearms have to be sent to a FFA dealer for transfer to us. That is a $25 expense plus 55 mile around trip to the dealer, and yes, hours of labor and ruined brushes, totaling $68.60. They discounted our efforts and expenses by calling all of the listed expenses “cleaning cloths”. Cleaning cloths would not have touched the corrosion in this rifle. J&G Sales Ltd. has not fulfilled the contract we entered into when we sent the company money and they accepted it.

[redacted]'s continuing complaint seems to be that J&G Sales did not admit we sent a rifle with a defect. We have never denied that the item had a defect, and we paid all the freight to return it, and we gave a full refund with shipping included since the rifle was not in satisfactory condition.

[redacted] then continues with his claim that he is owed $68.60 for peripheral expenses he calculated such as his time and his cleaning cloths and brushes he used to clean the rifle. These are not expenses he paid to J&G Sales and were not part of the refund. He was refunded everything he paid to J&G Sales for the item.

We understand he wanted an exchange instead of a refund, but after the rifle was returned and after his following letters, we felt there was nothing available to exchange that would be satisfactory, so the full refund was issued instead.

This customer ordered two rifles from J&G Sales Ltd. The rifles were shipped and delivered. He then called and did not like the condition of one of the rifles and decided to keep it after accepting a $25.00 discount which was refunded to the credit card. He later decided he did not want the...

rifle and desired an exchange. We arranged and paid for the return. After we received the returned rifle we did not feel the customer would be satisfied with the replacements available. We then issued a full refund for the price of the rifle and the shipping for the rifle. Customer has been completely refunded everything paid to J&G Sales for the rifle.

In your case we are passing on a refund from the manufacturer of the gun, since back in March you chose to send it to them ([redacted]) for repair instead of to us (J&G) for a full refund. [redacted] did not pass on any refund...

of the shipping amounts to us, so they were not included in the refund passed on to you. We will make an exception in your case and issue a refund also for the original shipping amount. Sorry for your inconvenience.
