Manager Kimyatte for that office wrote the following in our client care case as to how this customer has been assisted:  A check request was submitted for the client in the amount of $117. on 08/22/2017. Once this is approve this check will be mailed to the client. Returning the fees paid for the amendment due to preparer error. It is my understanding that the preparer should have never filed the original return knowing that the client still had w2 coming in.

I am rejecting this response because:I called the number Emily left on the same day at 3:59 p.m., but the phone rang continuously with no pick and eventually disconnected after multiple rings.  Contact was made with me by a Regional JH representative on Friday late afternoon / early evening.  At the time, I informed him of the meeting that the IRS had scheduled with me on Monday morning (yesterday).  The Regional rep. was very polite and committed to help with identifying someone to meet me at the first meeting with the IRS agent, but made no promises due to the late hour.  Fortunately a JH representative did join me in the first sit-down meeting with the IRS.  Unfortunately, I received a call about 30 minutes or so ago from the IRS saying that the JH representative was not current in his credentials and could no longer represent me or speak on my behalf.    So, yes, JH has reached out to me successfully and made, but has not yet fully met their obligation under the Gold Guarantee for which I paid.  I have left a message on the Regional rep's cell phone informing him of what IRS told me about the assigned JH rep being expired on his credentials and the need for a new representative.  I am awaiting follow up from that recently-left message.

Contacted client [redacted] and informed her that after careful investigation I found no evidence that Jackson Hewitt was at fault. Due to the lack of any evidence we came to the decision that we would not reimburse [redacted] penalties and interest.

I was told different, therefore a false Statement came from your company. Were you also aware of the fact my state taxes were done incorrectly and when my fees were took they also stated I had still owed 79 dollars was told a manager located at the Bloomington MN office cleared that up but wouldn't contact me regarding what was going on I just wanted some kind of compensation due to what went on considering it was a mistake upon you
