The [redacted] that I sign the first sheet was only acknowledging that they were going to pull a copy. Upon me purchasing the vehicle I was supposed to receive all documents from the [redacted] and sign the original form which was on the last page. The finance person indicated to me that I will see the full document on the [redacted] and would sign the last page acknowledging that I agreed. This I'm beginning to see that this is how they get customers to purchase vehicles that are either a lemon wrecked vehicle damaged vehicle. I would have never agreed to purchase a vehicle that had engine work. This is all new to me. I had no idea the vehicle was in an accident on 22217.This is all new to me. I have attached the sheet that was sent from [redacted] indicating that the car was in an accident. another insured back into my vehicle and when I went to file a diminished and claim this is when I found out that the vehicle was in an accident. I am pretty sure that Toyota did their research and found out the same exact thing that I did. They overcharged me for the vehicle.
In regards to [redacted]'s complaint, the service that we performed on her vehicle was not a recall; it is a warranty enhancement and it not required by law. It is a complimentary service that is provided by Toyota in order to assist vehicles that have an oil consumption issue. At the time of the...
warranty enhancement work (July 201 6), we recommended to the customer to have the valve stem seals replaced for $716.48 which she declined. At that time it would have been about a third of the cost that she was quoted in July 201 7 because the engine was already torn down and the labor for that was covered by Toyota and the warranty enhancement. In order to do that now, we would have to disassemble the engine again and there are many labor hours associated with doing so which is why the cost is around $2, 100. The valve stem replacement recommendation is recommended by Toyota for all customers who receive this warranty enhancement and is not covered by the warranty enhancement. I have spoken to our Toyota Technical Representative and confirmed this.At this time, we are suggesting that [redacted] should return to Passport Toyota so that we can perform the valve stem replacement.
