I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I would like to see if I can be placed into another vehicle comparable to my price range.

It is unfortunate that Mr [redacted] is having issues with the purchased of his Chevy Tahoe.  The vehicle is 14 years old after all and was purchased AS-IS(see attached).   As far as the Jake Sweeney dealership knows, this vehicle is not a flood vehicle.  Jake Sweeney is not...

in the habit of selling Salvage, Flood, Junk or Lemon vehicles to retail customers.  These vehicles are titled as such and directed towards auctions, junk yards etc.  Looking at the Carfax(see attached) which was disclosed, the Chevy Tahoe was a 1 owner vehicle and was predominantly owned and registered in the Cincinnati area.  I bring this up because most flood vehicles are sold at auctions and sent to other states.  The Carfax and Title does not indicate that this was ever a flood vehicle either. We would be happy to try to help Mr [redacted] into another vehicle but we cannot guarantee the same payment. [redacted]

Jake Sweeney Chevrolet obtained the best possible financing for Mr.  [redacted] and Ms. [redacted].  We do not dictate the terms of the loan.  The loan terms are set by the lender and are based on the applicant and co-applicants credit history.  All terms of the deal were properly...

disclosed at the time of delivery.  We request that this complaint be closed.  Please feel free to call me if you have any questions.
Thanks,

The problem is now fixed, although not quite in the way the dealer states.  He will not take responsibility for his mess ups, nor will I ever do business with him again.

[redacted] and her husband brought the vehicle into our dealership on January22, 2016 for a...

'car would stall while driving, reduced engine power message, check engine light and stabilitrac/traction control lights activated. This isthe first and only time the vehicle has been our dealership for repairs.A diagnostic fee of $100.00 is applied for us to not 'just not pop the hood',but to pull it into a service bay, hook up a $3000 diagnostic machine, checkthe vehicle for stored codes in the system, check all of the pertinentconnections, determine and isolate the failed part and get a necessary partsand labor estimate together. This diagnostic fee helps cover the expense ofthe shop, equipment, technician time, etc as is necessary to get an accurateestimate of repairs. The customer has an option to A) Pay the diagnositicamount and take the vehicle or B)Have the vehicle repaired and the diagnosticfee is applied to the repair time/estimate.The customer was contacted with the estimate. The customer then contactedGeneral Motors asking for assistance in the repair of the vehicle. Assistancewas declined because the vehicle was 2 years, 8 months out of the factoryoriginal warranty and 1 year, 5 months out of the Certified Pre-Ownedwarranty. The customer also has an aftermarket extended warranty that wecontacted and they declined the repair as a non-covered component. Upon reviewof the service records available through GM and a Car Fax report, the lastrecorded maintenance on this vehicle was September of 2013. In an effort tooffer some consideration to the customer, a $100.00 maintenance letter wasprovided to the customer in hopes that the customer would start having thenecessary maintenance service items completed at a GM facility. At the time of pick up, the discrepancy appears to be the rental car charges. The customer was in a rental vehicle for 5 days. With the vehicle being outof factory warranty and the extended warranty declining the repairs, therental charges became the responsibility of the customer. The customerbelieved that his roadside assistance would assist in the rental car charges. The customer was quoted $305.00 on Monday 01/25/16 plus any additional rentalcar days. The customer picked up the vehicle on 01/27/16 and additionalrental charges applied to the bill.At the time of pick up, the customer was clearly irritated. Instead ofdiscussing in a rational manor to resolve the issue, the customer became veryconfrontational. They contacted their roadside assistance, and came back andpaid their bill. I can only assume that the customer is taking up the rentalbill questions with his roadside assistance carrier. If there are any other circumstances that should be considered in this case, Iam willing to discuss with the customer in a civil manner.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]The business response did not address the issue of the warranty and my knowledge the financial institution is part of the business and I believe Jake Sweeney has the authority to remedy my complaint.

[redacted]Reviewed case with Technician.Customer stated that the low oil warning light came on and the fan was running when it was in the garage, normally does not run like that.Warning light and cooling fan were not on and/or active at time of write up.  Unable to duplicate at time of write...

up.Test drove vehicle 6 miles in attempt to duplicate.   Did not duplicate.Scanned the engine control module and body control module with our GM diagnostic equipment.  No codes active or found at this time.Checked the GM system for bulletins that may be related to this concern.  None found. The diagnostic charge is for technician time, service equipment, tools, computer diagnostics, etc.  Unfortunately, there was no problem to fix at this time.  Will need the concern to be duplicated in order to repair.Customer states that the vehicle was low on coolant....but the coolant level would not have activated a low oil light.  There still appears to be a random concern that has not been addressed.Because Mr. [redacted] is a customer of Jake Sweeney, I offer to refund 50% of the diagnostic charge...an amount of $55.00Please let me know the status. Sincerely,Jim P[redacted]Service ManagerJake Sweeney Chevrolet

Products were purchased on 4/30/16.  On 5/11/16 a cancellation form was signed and submitted.  The cancellation form(1) states [redacted]Allow 4-6 weeks for processing[redacted] which is industry accepted for processing.  On 6/7/16, 4 weeks later a check(2) was cut to GE Credit Union for the...

cancellations in the amount of $5,187.00.  This check included $600.00 for the Sweeney Shield(4) which is a non-cancelable product.  Jake Sweeney went above and beyond on behalf of the customer.  A week later on 6/14/16 at the request of the Mr [redacted], a check(3) was cut in the amount of 363.09 to Ge Credit Union for reimbursement of the taxes.  Keep in mind that Jake Sweeney will not get this money back from the state of Ohio.  Again, Jake Sweeney does not keep the taxes, it goes to the state. In regards to the remaining 300.00 in dispute.  The sealant and interior protection is completed when the vehicle comes into Jake Sweeney's inventory.  It is not applied at the time of delivery.  The product is already on the vehicle and Mr [redacted] will be able to take advantage that fact.  Jake Sweeney is withholding the 300.00 to cover it's cost in labor and product. At this time Jake Sweeney has already lost a net total of 63.09 in canceling the products that Mr [redacted] accepted at the time of delivery.   The Jake Sweeney organization has responded in a timely manner, has refunded the products cancelled as well as a partial refund to a non-cancellable product and has gone above by refunding taxes that the company will never get back from the state.  It is unfortunate that Mr [redacted] refers to us as a greedy thief and an organization that systematically steals money from it's customers.  Both of which could not be further from the truth.

Jake Sweeney has the purchase price showing $13176.62 including all discounts.   Ms. [redacted] is past due on her payment of $650.00.  It was due 03/10/2016.  All title work has been completed by Jake Sweeney Chevrolet.  Please make payment to avoid default.

They are not telling everything first off steve said 308 not 305 and he did not say they was charging us more the rental. Now how can you tell someone one thing and do another. Yes when they said it was more from using the car I did contact roadside but the guy I was dealing with said the price and hit me for more because my warranty wouldn't cover it. The guy said there not eating it. I said but you told me a price and he said what ever buddy. Now is that good business lying to people.Revdex.com:

[redacted]  [redacted] brought to our attention that she had a problem with her car.  We both agreed to have the vehicle fixed at no charge to her.  Shortly after that she came into the dealership and said she still wasn't satisfied.  We agreed to let her out of the contract which we didn't...

have to do.  Her down payment was refunded the next day.  [redacted] went out of his way to satisfy [redacted]  [redacted] his customer satisfaction is excellent.

We have worked with the attorney of [redacted]z on the issue of his lease of a new Chevy Silverado.  We were able to meet the demands and recommendations of the attorney.  The representation for Mr. [redacted]  was satisfied with the outcome and...

the solutions afforded to them by Jake Sweeney Automotive.

All discounts were made prior to signing contracts.  Jake Sweeney would like to offer a solution on the down payment of $650.00.  We would consider a weekly payment plan of $100.00 until balance is satisfied.  On reaching an agreement we would release title so the vehicle can be registered.
