To Whom it might concern,I can understand rate changing after the contract expires, I can understand the rate going up to a fair market amount.But double then what it was and then what other companies charge? I kindly ask you to put yourself in my shoes to see my point. I don't mind paying a little higher rate after contact is up, but double I feel I am being stolen from.I would like to receive a small token of understanding in the form of credit toward my bill, I think it will be more then fair and honest.Please let me know[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: For I am pleased that the business has cancel my services, however I am now left with a much higher bill then what I should have been paying. it would be nice  if the business would pick up a portion of my bill since I did not authorize Respond Power to switch me. This is a scam. They fix the issue but the consumer is left with the bill. I have called respond Power and ask to provide me  with prove of me authorized them to switch me, to date I have not received anything from them. Thank You,[redacted]

To whom it may concern;      Thank you for reaching out regarding this matter. After a review of the call recording it is clear that the question was answered to the best of our ability. It was stated that your bill is split into two portions, the distribution and the supply. Respond Power is only involved in the Supply portion. The portion is a simple math equation: the usage derived from your meter read, which is completed by the local utility, which is forwarded to Respond Power and the rate per unit of usage. The rate is the section which Respond Power offers competitive choice between your local utility and other suppliers. Your bills increased in step with your usage. Your calculations fail to take into account the fact that you use more electricity, even if at a lower rate, you would still have a higher bill than the prior month when your usage goes from 212 kWh up to over 1,000. Hello,        Thank you for taking the time to respond to this matter, however to be clear; you opened your home to a mentally ill person, who then turns around and misrepresents their position as your wife to enroll you in services, and the company that was given a material misrepresentation is "menacing"? I am sorry for your inconveniences but it appears as though the person that you should be directing this aggression is to the person that represented their position as your spouse to enroll you in services you didn't want and not the business that offered a service that people are free to either accept if it is in their interest or decline if it is not. With regards to the Early termination fee which you refer, that has been waived and you no longer need to concern yourself with that as a courtesy. Regarding the service prices, your wife chose the rate and it is up to each customer to choose only those rates which are competitive with the utility which they compete. If the rate your wife signed a contract for was higher than that which you have been paying from your utility that is a math equation which only you are equipped to answer. Response Power did not answer the question on how the amount they charged on the electric bill.  I askr hem to break it down like Atlantic city Electric break the bill , determiningt he watts that were used.  There response was Atlantic city Electric told them how many watts was used during each month.  My other question is so why is your portiono f the bill higher then Atlantic city Electric.  Response Powerc pulse not answer the question.  Also there advertisement is false.  BBecause you tell people that there electric bills will be low and it's just as high.  I told Response Power will not pay this Billy til my question are answered.

felt was competitive at the time. You further state that "closer to the expiration of the contract I decided to wait" instead of contracting for a new known fixed rate. Instead you decided to "wait" and see what would happen. Once your fixed rate ended your contract defaults to a variable rate, as noted in your contract, and the market takes over control of the prices charged each month. If you would like to re-enter our services, many times we are able to retroactively assist in times such as this, however, you should be made aware that if you ever let a fixed rate expire, it will default to a variable rate and on a variable rate plan you will loose the price protections afforded to fixed rate contract prices. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because justMy electric bill should not have been higher because of there advertisement.    My bill with Atlantic city Electric was never this high.  I asked Response Power several times how did they come up with this amount.  Was told by the Response Power representative that I should refer to Atlantic city Electric.  I am also on the pragram that helps pay my electric bill.  Was told to get Response Power off my bill because they over charge people.  Have been noticing since June of this year how my electric is higher then last year every since response power was added to my bill. I say again response power advertisement is false.
