Complaint [redacted] I apologize to hear that the customer is having issues with his systemOur notes show that we sent out a technician 1/10/to make sure everything was working correctly on his solar systemI will reach out to our tech team and inform them that there may still be potential problemsThey will reach out to the customer to help resolve any issues as soon as possibleFor the power bill issue, we don’t control the customer’s energy usage or billingWe can’t guarantee, and don’t make any promises in our contract about a set payment that the customer will pay to their utility company because of having a solar systemThe proposal that was signed and accepted by the customer also states, “This proposal is an estimate and does not guarantee actual system production or savingsThe system design may change based on a detail engineering site auditActual system production and savings will vary based on the final system size, design, configuration, utility rates, applicable rebates, your ability to realize tax benefits, and your family’s energy usage.” We wish to address all customer concerns and hope to resolve these issues with the customerThank you

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Yes, Dave S [redacted] from Southam Associates, and also President of Solar Installations, did come unannounced while both myself and my husband was at work While I do work from home, I have a boss, and metrics I must meet daily I do not have a great amount of flexibility to just take off from work But I met with him My husband also left work early in order to meet with him Dave and his associate only had a few hours and could not wait until we were both off work due to a flight he had to make He made some promises, even though he admitted that he was not licensed in solar nor any part of clear solar licensed in AZ, To either to have it finished or to have it removed Whatever it takes for us to be happy If removed he said he would give us money to fix the roof We did not make any commitments either way My husband emailed him later, and said yes, we would like enough money to fix the roof, and for us for our missed work and hassle we have gone through Dave said he was out of the office, and had to wait until he was back to do any negotiations on Jan 29th By February 1st, we had not heard, so I called Dave S [redacted] on the phone He clearly told me that Clear Solar rejected our terms, and that he was not part of Clear Solar and had no authority or pull to "make them do it." or even negotiate As far as Clear Solar we have not heard from Clear Solar since December, and since Dave S [redacted] told me over the phone he is not part of Clear Solar, he is not on the contract, Southam Associates is not on the contract Nor is Solar Installations on the contract, I still assert I had not heard from Clear Solar That is until yesterday morning A Devon called while I was at work I explained we had not talked to anyone in a long time, however I was at work, I was in a very important meeting I could not miss, TO please call me after when I got off He never called back Just like when Talon agreed to have me called every Monday Morning before work, I never got those calls either I have heard a lot of promises from the time we signed up in May The problem comes with the failure to follow through This is a quote from an Email sent from Talon on Dec 13th when asked for a face to face meeting because my husband is legally deaf and can not talk over the phoneI completely understandI will see what I can doWe have pulled out of Arizona because of the issues that you and others went through with our lack of serviceSo our senior leadership team are all in Utah and I do not know when we would be able to make the trip down thereHowever, Can we do a skype or Online version? Sent: Tuesday, December 13, 9:AMTo: Talon D [redacted] Subject: Re: Load Calculations My husband wants a sit down meeting with high representatives from the company As he is legally deaf, he can not talk over the phone we do not have TTY, he does not do sign language he reads lips face to face And that is what he is requesting a face to face meeting in our home I sent you the email with the bills as well originally sent to Gentry on Nov as well Again that is what I am referring to, when you say you had problems with Preventive Solar I am saying none of the problems were fixed when you took it back from them The customer service has been atrocious continuing on even in the past few weeks It has now been months since the panels were placed still nonfunctioning and incomplete There has been no progress forward or backward I hear promises, but I have caught them in lies, and there is not anything they can say that I will believe without proofTheir promises are just empty promises, dreams that wont come true The only time I have heard from clear Solar is when I have made complaints, they try to throw out a few crumbs and a few more empty promises to buy more time, then stop communication until I complain again I am just tired of the whole situation and wish I had never gotten involved with solar or this company [redacted]

This company is playing "ignorant" and is not responding to my requests for helpThey have told me they would pay for the electric billsWhy would someone put enough solar panels on their home to eliminate electric bills, and then expect to continue paying electric bills??? The solar system that is installed is working as it was designed to per the agreed upon proposal and designThe customer can purchase additional panels to be added to the system if they are wanting more productionWe do not offer the equipment for freeThe system was also installed according to
the permit that was approved by the cityThe system also had to pass a city inspectionWe can't move the panel location. Thanks

We have already been talking with this Solar Installs customer over the past few daysWe have gone over all the details with the billing and have also sent him copies of his warrantiesAs for the tax credits, the contract with his installation company states, "Customer's Responsibilities for
Income Tax: Neither Solar Installs nor its employees or subcontractors give income tax adviceThe Customer should consult a tax professional regarding the applicability of federal or state solar tax credit for his/her particular tax situation."We have also gone over this information with the customer as well. HelloWe have found information about this customers account from the installation company that installed her projectThey are still waiting for the customer's utility company to approve the system to be turned onThey have told me this utility can take many months before granting approval to operate the system I have been told that they expect the permission to be granted within the next monthThey have encountered many issues that aren't in trying to get this project completed, and this is why it is taking longer than normal. This solar installer would occasionally help customer's by reimbursing or paying the customer's loan bill if the permission to operate hadn't been received from the utility company yet and their loan was already dueThe installation company has been taken over by another company who is helping to finish all of their projectsAfter this change, they are no longer allowed to give customer's complimentary loan reimbursements or payments, and the customer should refer to the payment schedule from the signed loan contractI hope this has helped to answer any questions or concerns that the customer may haveThe installation company tells me they are working with the utility company to help activate the customer's system as soon as possible. I am sorry to hear that the customer is not happy with the solar project that they receivedI have looked into this and see that our last communication with the customer was on 11/8/We don't see any other contact since that timeWe don't offer any type of system that has a plug in system
Our employees are not allowed to suggest or offer to pay a customers power billThe estimated proposal that was created by us did not state that it would cover the 105% of energy consumed like mentionedThe estimated proposal we have on file shows much less than this amountWe will be happy to have the customer contact us to address any additional concerns that they might haveWe just need to make sure they are contacting the correct companyWe have had issues where customers are contacting another local company with a similar nameThe correct number for our customer to call is 844-765-2794. and steps were followed to get your system approvedI will ask the installation company to reach out to the city about an inspector going out to your property and telling you the system wasn't approved or safeThe proposal for solar you received states, "This proposal is an estimate and does not guarantee actual system production or savingsThe system design may change based on a detail engineering site auditActual system production and savings will vary based on the final system size, design, configuration, utility rates, applicable rebates, your ability to realize tax benefits, and your family's energy usage." There is also no guarantee on a time frame that the system will be completed in your contractIt states, " The work is estimated to be completed within days of approval by the finance companyThis is the best estimate and is subject to change according to various factors outside the control of the ContractorPlease note that Clear Solar, is not responsible for delays resulting from events beyond its control" Hopefully this helps to answer and questions or concerns you have about these issues
