USBI is engaged in the business of aggregating records for various telecommunications service providers and transmitting those records to the Local Exchange Carriers. USBI is not itself a telecommunications company; nor does it... provide any telecommunications services of any kind. USBI has no involvement in the process of switching customers from one carrier to another, or verifying those switches. Each long distance provider for which we perform record processing services should provide records regarding services that are properly authorized and in accordance with the appropriate regulations.Mr. [redacted] disputes the charges in question submitted on behalf of Preferred Long Distance. As Preferred Long Distance prefers to address their own regulatory matters, we would like to request that your office serve them directly at the address below. Their response should provide more information regarding their services and what may have occurred in this matter. The verifier informed Ms*** that NSBI was unaffiliated with the local telephone companyMs*** provided her month and year of birth of January as proof of her identity and her authorization and intent to switch the long distance service to NSBI.After completing the verification, the verifier telephoned Mr*** at *** to reconfirm the sale and to reiterate that NSBI was unaffiliated with the local telephone companyThe verifier informed Mr*** that the new long distance service with NSBI would begin in approximately 5-daysI am including a copy of the voice recording (.wav file) of the verificationNSBI relies on the recorded third-party verification as evidence of a customer's authorization, intent, and desire to switch long distance service to NSBI.On September 19, 2016, NSBI canceled the above account as per the request of Ms*** *** and has blocked it from incurring further chargesAdditionally, NSBI has added the above telephone number to its internal Do-Not-Call listPlease note that this customer received an adjustment from their local exchange carrier in the amount of $8.98, which is the total amount billed by NSBI.Based upon the foregoing, NSBI believes that it has conducted itself in accordance with FCC and Commission regulations in all regards in this matterNSBI asks that both BSG Billing Services Group and the Revdex.com close this file and consider this complaint to be resolvedPlease contact me directly with any further questions regarding this matterThank you.Respectfully yours,*** ** ***Regulatory and Compliance Manager 9/26/16: A verification recording is available if needed
