repair the area that the customer damaged as it was only a minor fix, but I explained to him that we were not working locally and we were also extremely busy, so I told him that the repair would be done at some stage of the summer, we all agreed and that was the last dealing I had with, nothing has changed on my company's end and we were doing the repair that he caused at no cost, but obviously he's opted out of this agreement

JD construction with James D[redacted] as principle did work for me during November 2014. They took up and put down a new driveway, looks beautiful. They moved and rebuilt a lovely dry construct stone wall giving my property attractiveness and more utility. They also did a stone step up and chimney work all was done professionally, on time and at a reasonable rate. Highly recommend.

risking my life or other road users for your driveway, new asphalt is extremely hot with a temperature of 300 degrees so on a narrow driveway like yours unless we use a wheelbarrow how would the customer suggest the transport? this customer also parked on her new driveway after only 24 hours which was against the advice I gave her, and for some one who went on google to try and find faults in the work like material temp, asphalt placement, roller marks ect im surprised she would park on new asphalt so quickly, I paved 6 other neighbors on the same street with no complaint. I reassure all customers that all work comes with a 1 year warranty and we stand by that warranty thanks [redacted]

We at JD Construction Contracted with Mrs [redacted] to Complete the following.  The first Contract was to:  1.  Re-roof the residence with new 25 year composition shingles-completed.  2.  Remove and replace all 12 windows-completed.  3.  Re-side the residence...

and paint (Hardie Lap siding, trim  and premium paint)-completed.  Mrs. [redacted] has stated that she was happy with the exterior work with minor punch out-we are surprised with the negative tone. The second contract was or is to:  1.  Repair all interior sheetrock to smooth finish out-90% complete.  2.  Re-move and replace all tile  flooring-demo complete.  We were at property as late as 7:00 PM 1.20.2018. Delivering doors, after shopping or doors at Home Depot or 2 hours.  We reached out to Mrs. [redacted] just yesterday to resolve all open items with Mrs. [redacted] yesterday (Unaware o this notification).  We have requested a meeting with the homeowner to sit down and seek final resolution. There has not been anything removed/ demo from the property that Mrs. [redacted] did not set the expectation.  We have documents.JD Construction Management

JD Construction satisfactorily completed a job, well done and on time, at my West Hartford home last week. This project involved removing the asphalt on my very oversized driveway, part of which we are partitioning in to a fenced-off patio area, and laying down a stone foundation. My house is almost a century old, and I've had a lot of work done over the last 15 years. I especially appreciate contractors, like JD Construction, who educate me about my choices and provide an array of possible options at different price points. This particular project also entailed some drainage and retaining wall issues and I much benefited from the D[redacted] brothers' thoughtful input. on how I might address them. Their price was very competitive.

An excellent company to do business with. work done on a timely and professional manner. Owners and staff always helpful and accommodating.Would recommend them to friends and family.

We had an excellent experience with JD. In fact, I am writing this review from my porch as I look at my gorgeous new driveway and masonry work.
Our driveway and masonry was frankly, a total and complete wreck when we bought our house 5 years ago. The driveway is narrow, and on a relatively steep hill (for a driveway), and it's pretty long. We also had a stone wall that was falling apart and zero path from the driveway to the back porch.
That all has been fixed, and fixed beautifully. We hired JD not only to redo the driveway, but also build a path to the back porch (with bluestone) and fix masonry surrounding our driveway.
I knew I liked these guys immediately. First, and let's be honest, I love a good, authentic Irish brogue. Second, during our first meeting, they talked us *out* of a potential quite expensive additional project that we really didn't need - it would have been cosmetic only and we had told them we were trying to be conservative financially. They listened to that and respected it, offering more reasonable financial options at each turn. I have tremendous respect for any business person that does not try to push unnecessary projects and understands their clients' financial constraints.
JD took on this major project with enthusiasm, professionalism, respect, and most importantly, competence. From the initial digging out of the old driveway, to the laying of many inches of stone (and allowing it to settle for a sufficient amount of time), to the masonry and path work to the final, finished paving project, everything turned out exactly as anticipated and discussed. The owners take enormous pride in their work, and have improved not only our home, but now 3 additional homes on our block.

JD Construction completed a beautiful remake of my driveway and retaining walls. They were very easy to work with in order to meet my needs. I would highly recommend this company.

I was extremely pleased with the work JD Construction did on repairing my basement walls. The walls were crumbling from moisture, and my other estimates only suggested a cosmetic fix. They assessed the situation, found the source of the problem, and suggested a permanent solution within my price range. JD has a great work ethic. They kept me informed throughout the process and the results were high quality. They were very respectful of my time and the intrusion. They worked in my basement for a week and I didn't even know they were there. I definitely highly recommend them.

WARNING:Do not do business with this company, it's a scam! Just from my own experience, the sole owner and employee, James D[redacted] will ask you for a deposit following a contract agreement, and will not do the work. I had to contact the police in this case, which followed a court hearing and continues probation for Mr. D[redacted]. This is simply the facts. Furthermore, this business address is the address of an apartment complex where he lives. Pass this information along.

I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent work done at my property by JD Construction. The work is sheer artistry. The driveway and walkway construction they did was of such high quality that people have regularly stopped by tell me how superb the work was. In addition the owners are courteous and friendly, and the customer service is excellent. Highly recommend these brothers.

I am rejecting this response because: Obviously you are not speaking the truth or you're making false promises. The words that came out of your mouth clearly indicated the driveway would be fixed at the end of May and early June. Clearly I did not opt from the agreement you've made with me and thus speaking you've stated you have not been working locally is a complete lie. I've seen driveways completed by YOUR company in [redacted]; I am not the one who is opting out of the agreement, you are not following your promises that you've been made. "We will come fix this at the end of May and early June, I promise"

Knowledgeable of their field, very polite, efficient, negotiable and flexible. Return calls promptly, good communication skills. Work done professionally. Thomas and James will be honest about what will work and what will not work, what they can do and what they cannot do either r/t their level of competence or field or legal limits.We had our driveway done as well as the walkway to the entrance of the house. Both came out well done and very nice. We have no trouble to recommend them.

JD Construction did some major repair work on my front concrete stoop and stairs, which were not going to last the winter, along with some repair/reinforcement of a set of bluestone stairs, which were going to cause me a lawsuit sooner than later. They gave me a fair quote, stuck to the quote even when we discovered the stoop repair was more extensive than originally thought, and were out here FAST. The repairs took two days total, and the work looks great. And my parents no longer fear coming up the steps! They've given me a lot of peace of mind. They were also great to work with - very polite and place a huge emphasis on customer service. The only reason I'm not giving a rating of "10" is because the workman left a lot of detritus in the yard. Not a huge deal, but still could have been a bit more conscientous with the cleanup.

Review: [redacted] DBA, JD Construction approached me on May 6, 2014 and said that he was paving several driveways on my street and could give me a good deal on mine. He stated that he would remove the old driveway, put down a layer of gravel, repave my driveway and repair (tear down and rebuild) the retaining wall for $3,400. The contract stated that the job would be completed in 2-6 weeks and that I had 3 days to withdraw from contract without penalty. Without any notification they came the next day and dug up and remove the old driveway. A few days later they return to work on the retaining wall. In the process of pulling down the wall they damaged the last step of the lower stairs next to the driveway, which they later repaired. On June 12, 2014 they came with a truck full of gravel, but they did not put down an even layer of gravel over entire driveway. They patch up the areas of driveway that had gullies (caved in), but did not finish patching all the gullies. On June 17, I called JD Construction to voice my concerns regarding the need for more gravel on the driveway. I spoke to [redacted] and also ask when the job would be completed. He stated that they had run out of gravel and that they would be completing all driveways by the end of the week. The next day June 18, they returned and continued to patch the rest of the driveway. I left the house and returned about 2 hours later. During the time I was gone they had pave the driveway with 2 inches of asphalt. I voiced my concerns to [redacted] about not putting down enough gravel down and that the asphalt mix was not hot enough for proper compaction (the asphalt was in a dump truck and they were using wheel barrels to carry it) and that it wasn't smooth and even.When I continued to inspect the job I noticed that there were grooves along the driveway left by the roller machine that was used. I was told by [redacted] that I was neat picking the job. I also notice several dents on the garage door that we're not there the day before.Desired Settlement: I request that another 2 inches of hot and properly mixed asphalt be placed and compacted evenly without any grooves on my driveway and that the dents on the door be repaired.
