Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meKatie was very helpful, knowledgable, and went out of her way to address the phone number misunderstanding Regards, [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: You should have received the second request from [redacted] over days agoHe send a second letter to you, registered mail, as you requested for the second time ICS should have sent his refund by now Have you not? You said inmates can request a refund while incarcerated, but it is not possible because you ask for an address, release date and phone number where the individual can be reached Once released, the individual account holder has no way to check the balance of what is owed to him [redacted] is at your mercy to refund to him only what you say his balance is/was He can't check his balance and he can't contest it either Stop stalling and send his $$! Here, again, is his name & mailing address: [redacted] W [redacted] Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This reply is ludicrous If my son, [redacted] , is incarcerated, then I must use my name and telephone number and credit card to open an ICSolutions account for him No inmate can do it inside the jail I am the paying customer I purchased the account for the inmate The money on the account then goes to him This is how it works I was told on the phone by an ICSolutions employee that the money could be refunded because ICSolutions will not transfer funds from one phone account to another You have the capability of setting up accounts, one where inmates can call anyone and one account where an inmate can only call collect to one number The first account I set up for [redacted] was for him to call me at [redacted] Then I wanted him to be able to call anyone, but ICSolutions will not transfer the money from one account to another That is when I was told the money could be refunded [redacted] mailed you a signed request with all the information you requested, but you claim to have not received itAt first ICSolutions denied that there was an account in our names I proved that you were wrongNow, ICSolutions denies receiving a letter requesting a refund You are not honest You cheat inmates out of money owed to themI am asking that you do the right thing and mail [redacted] a refund for the money left on his phone card He had a balance of some $Here is his mailing address: [redacted] Regards, [redacted]

Ms [redacted] ' refund was completed 08/Her financial institution could take up to days to post it to her accountRefunds are quoted as 7-business days because there are hundreds of refunds requested a day, the refunds are not done by the agent taking the requestRefunds are completed by the corporate officeThe total account balance at the time of refund request was $The refund fee was waived and the applicable taxes will be applied to the balanceMs [redacted] can contact her financial institution with refund authorization code of [redacted] They may be able to provide a better time line of when they will make the funds available to her

We apologize for the inconvenience Ms [redacted] has experiencedThe rate change was due to regulatory changes enforced by the FCCRates and fees are subject to change without notificationMs [redacted] does have the option to check her rates at no cost to her with each call that comes in from the inmateBecause the FCC regulates what any Inmate Telephone Service provider can charge, ICS cannot revert the rate back to the rate she was receiving prior to 03/https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/inmate-telephone-service

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:When I went to inmate call solutions website there were options to choose from to order low cost calls from inmateI chose yr subscription $I proceeded to checkout and there was an admin fee plus other fees total $I was of the understanding that I would then receive calls from my sonI paid for the order with my Debit CardWithin an hour of making this order I sent an email to inmate call solutions cancelling this orderI also called my bank immediately and was told the transaction was pendingI asked them to stop payment and they said they couldn'tThe bank gave me a telephone number associated with the transactionI called and it was a voicemailI left many messages asking for someone to call me,to no avail Next morning March I received a call from [redacted] I informed them I did not want to proceedI was told to submit a cancellation notice via email to cancellation@ [redacted] and my money would be refundedI did this straight away and the email address came back Postmaster Delivery Failed I again sent another cancellation notice to info@inmatecallsolutions, I have kept the emails I sent and can provide them if necessaryAll I want is for this company inmate call solutions to refund my moneyI have read the cancellation/refund policy and it states if no number/activation takes place and a cancellation notice is submitted then I would receive a refundI have since found a resource information on ICS website and began to send emails to them asking for cancellation to be accepted and money returnedI received email from them saying they have paid a provider to issue a number and cannot give refundI have asked for this provider information so I can contact themTo no availI was not told I was being sold off to another companyThe website inmate call solutions does not state a third party is involvedI was led to believe my transaction was with ICSI vehemently dispute the actions if ICSI have now found out other people have been subjected to this appalling business via reviews, and lost moneyI have taken the dispute up with my bank and filed a claimIf ICS decide to resolve this dispute amicablely I would be willing to accept refund of initial fee for year subscription of $What kind of business acts without a customer care telephone numberand conducts disputes via emailI am 66yrs old living on meager social security payments and can ill afford to lose such a large amount of moneyI was trying to save money via ICS to receive lower cost calls from my incarcerated son and ended up losing money Regards, [redacted] [redacted]

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience, but ICSolutions has not received any requests from Mr [redacted] regarding his debit account fundsWe have no problem refunding the balance on his accountLegality and policy prevent ICS from refunding an account that belongs to one person based on the statement of anotherMr [redacted] could have requested the refund while incarceratedOnce the needed information is received from Mr [redacted] , ICS will proceed with the refund processThe debit funding account balance belongs to the inmate, not the funding partyOnce those funds post to an inmate account, the funds and all detail belong to the inmateICS is not authorized to disclose any information about any account to anyone other than the account holderPlease ensure that Mr [redacted] mails his request to [redacted]

We are unable to locate an account under the phone number or name providedIt is recommended that Ms [redacted] check her financial statements to confirm the payment was made to Inmate Calling Solutions and not Inmate Call SolutionsShe may also call Client Services directly at [redacted]

This business provides phone services to jails, but they should be the ones locked up for being criminalsNot only do they charge exorbitant rates for their monopoly phone service, they also have intentionally deceptive business practices that result in excessive fees They charge $for the first minutes of a phone callWhile that is a ridiculously high amount as it is, they then charge a $fee for EACH TRANSACTION, plus $in TAX So my minute phone call is now $That's almost a dollar a minute! They have two types of phone accounts you can fund: 1) you pay for inmate to only be able to call you 2) you pay for inmate to be able to call any number For #2, they will not tell you how much the per minute charges areThey claim this is for "privacy" reasons, because the account funds belong to the inmateThat's BSThey don't tell you because they have fraudulent business practices Also, you can request a "refund" of your unused balance for a $processing feeThey charge you ridiculous fees coming and goingThey are taking advantage of having a monopoly contract with the jail, and they can charge whatever fees they want to poor unsuspecting families of inmatesI'm sure the jail is getting plenty of nice kickbacks from these fees, so they are in no position to complain or regulate the situation
