Scam Artists
Reife Nels Petersen and Jessica Zakarain are scam artists, They collected inflated deposits during a state storm emergency with the promises to be put first on their job repair list, They use illegal AOB Contracts to take control of your insurance money, once they collect as much money as they can from your insurance company they utilize a section of there AOB Contract and claim supplier delays on why they never start or finish there work. They both know exactly how to manipulate Florida state statues to avoid prosecution, I wish Governor DeSantis would follow thru with his state laws to protect Floridians JKS Construction and engineering has ripped off so many people in Florida and give a bad name to good contractors

+1

The company has not executed due diligence in performing the services that were agreed to by them. There was work done that was less than acceptable.
A roof replacement contract was signed on March4,2019, with JKS Sales representative, Spencer Connor. Further conversations were with the owner Jessica Z. The Collier County Notice of Commencement was notarized April12,2019.
Tile was ordered on June 17,2019 and I was given estimated delivery of 2 months, with a probability of it being faster. On June 4,2019 a check was given to JKS for $20,000.00 I called Jessica on Tuesday, Sept. 24,2019,which by now was over 14 weeks from the time the tile was ordered. She stated that they were having trouble getting the tile and that it would maybe be December of 2019. Meanwhile the Polystick Tu Plus Roofing and Waterproofing Underlayment has been sitting there exposed to the brutal Florida Sun and elements. Two other companies in my direct neighborhood, GSD Construction Services and Jasper Roofing have replaced numerous homes with the same tile and their good judgement was to not tear off the old tile and ready the roof until the tile had been delivered to the residence. I question the judgement used by JKS in tearing off my existing roof without a firm date of delivery in hand. The manufacturer of the underlayment has stated that it can only be exposed for 180 days (6 months). With even a possible delivery date in December the underlayment will be compromised diminishing the life expectancy of the new roof. When I stated that this was unacceptable and that I would be contacting the Revdex.com regarding this matter she told me to go after the manufacturer, Boral not her. I hardly think that is my place. It should clearly be her responsibility to contact manufacturers and distributors not mine. In addition to this the company showed a lack of professionalism with regard to removal of my old roof. The job supervisor Jordan P., Jr. had stated that he would be on site when the job started. He was several hours late arriving with needed materials. The roofing subcontractor Jose LaJara had to leave his crew to go to the local Home Depot to obtain plywood to cover windows. The subcontractor also failed to cover a paved area with tarpaulins which he stated that he would do. Work started on June 22, 2019 and stopped June 24,2019. The roofing crew were working after sunset into dark and were cutting corners in a hurry to finish the job. A soffit piece was placed in upside down. They miscalculated the wood fascia in the front which prevented it from joining with the side piece, leaving an exposed hole. They damaged the aluminum piece covering the wood fascia as well and Mr. P. said they would not replace it. The Collier County Building Inspector said that would not pass final inspection because there can be no exposed holes. They also left a large open area next to my house which I have photos of because they were in such a hurry. I called the owner on June 24,2019 to explain this and forwarded pictures of same. On June 31,2019 the job supervisor, Mr. P., the subcontractor foreman and a worker came to make repairs. Mr. P. said that they would still not replace the aluminum covering of the fascia board which is the only solution to fix the hole and gap. There is complete negligence on the part of the company to rectify these issues.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a resolution of the installation of the contracted white tile in a timely manner. I wish for them to obtain tile and install them before the underlayment is compromised. The existing edges are starting to curl up as is. I also want them to replace the existing aluminum fascia covering which they damaged and close the existing hole. I think that none of this is unreasonable. The company was all too eager to get my contract and $20,000. I would like to see them step up to the mark and have the company perform with the professionalism and regard that as a homeowner, I deserve.

The manufacturer Boral has been having delivery problems. I questioned the distributor about Ms. claims regarding her neighbor's receiving fast roofs. They contacted Boral and were told that the contractors in question had pre-ordered a warehouse full of the particular tile in question.
We tore off the roof based upon the original delivery date we were given which in the past was always firm within 1-2 weeks. Since then Boral has extended the delivery date multiple times on multiple orders. We have since directed our customers to order from a different manufacturer.

When I was given the most recent delay by Boral I informed Ms. of the issue and told her I would do my best to resolve it.
We contacted the top person at the distributor and voiced our concerns regarding the delay with the tile who in turn contacted Boral. Several strings were pulled but the tile was delivered to Ms. this past Monday. The same day I received this Revdex.com notice.
We plan to begin the install of the tile next week.

Tile is taking months to get all over the state due to large volume of construction and the large number of storms in recent years.

I had previously spoken with Ms. and assured her we would be taking care of the fascia when she brought this issue to me.
It is our hope that once the tile is installed and the fascia fixed Ms. will consider herself a satisfied customer.

Contracted to get new roof. After 2 months no one showed up. when I called to complain was told they no longer were going to do the job.
ON 06/10/2018 met with Rick Moore of JKS construction at my home. We agreed on a price of $9975.00. And a start date of 7/11/2018 to 7/15/2018. NO one showed up by 7/15/2018 and I called was told by Jessica they were behind and I had to JUST wait. Called again on 8/9/18 was told by Jessica someone would be here by no later then 8/14/18. No one came. Called on 8/20/2018 was told By Jessica
they were not going to do the job.

Desired Outcome

Want them to do what they contracted for!
