John Casablancas Modeling & Career Center Reviews (24)

Review: John Casablanca's practices dishonesty by misleading and manipulating potential consumers into joining their school and paying an exorbitant amount of money to complete tuition. During the initial interview when potential students were assessed for talent, the director of JC told over 25 people that one or two may be selected for acceptance to the school. I received a call that evening confirming I had been accepted, secured my position in class with a fee, and agreed to pay consecutive fees until the tuition balance was covered.

Upon attending the first class I noticed several students whom was in the initial interview with me. I approached them and confirmed they were, in fact, in the same interview room. The classes attended thereafter confirmed John Casablanca's provided misinformation, manipulating people into believing they had been selected for talent, not money.

I wrote JC a letter of explanation as to why I decided to exit the school and they immediately turned my contract over to a collection agency. I never heard from John Casablanca's personally addressing my letter and claim. The collection agency has been harassing my friend and family.Desired Settlement: A letter of apology from the director, a full refund for the tuition payed along with reparations of $1000, record cleared of collection agency claims, credit adjustment.

Re: #[redacted]

Dear **. [redacted]:

We are In receipt of the correspondence from **. [redacted] concerning her enrollment In our Center. **. [redacted] attended an interview and was asked to come back If she was Interested in additional training. It was her decision to return and when she came back, she acknowledges she was required to pay money and agreed to do so for the classes that were being offered. She then attended the classes; ten months later she is saying she doesn't want to pay. We checked her records for payment and she has made no payments for any classes. **. [redacted] does not complain in her letter to your office about the quality of instruction and at the conclusion of her class, wrote a critique stating:

“Helpful and fun - this class Is great for getting people out of their comfort zone. Instructor dynamic excellent."

Well, **. [redacted] knowingly signed up for classes and attended two, stated it was "excellent" and now does not want to pay for the classes. We are not sure what this has to do with, who was or wasn’t offered classes, as each person is interviewed to determine if they can benefit from our training, whether it is for modeling, acting or personal development. That decision is a personal one with each person and not shared during class.

**. [redacted] has ignored all attempts to collect this debt and was recently turned over to a collection agency. The receipt of the correspondence from your office and the assignment to the collection agency are remarkably close.

This appears to be a collection matter and not a consumer matter. In her letter to your office, **. [redacted] admits she agreed to pay the money. All we are asking is she fulfill that obligation and this matter can be closed.

Review: [redacted]' choice to draw abundantly on undocumented verbosity is rather disturbing when paired with reluctance to present proof of payment. The alleged quotation of myself, along with the denial of my payments, are false.

I would not have been permitted to attend ten weeks of class without payment. Below are details for payments made to John Casablancas, [redacted], PA.

A young adult still in debt from college, I hoped I had found something which would propel my life in a new direction and clear loans. Like any individual who found themselves victim of a scam, I refused to continue my contract. The truth being I could not, and cannot afford to pay the termination fee, which I requested to have removed upon withdrawal from classes in the letter mentioned previously. My letter was ignored and the contract was not latently, but immediately handed over to a collection agency.

I became aware of the Revdex.com several weeks ago and decided to present my case for another opinion. In lieu of the fact I may not receive reparation for time, gas and energy spent, nor the deposit and class fees returned and credit adjustment, I hope this filed complaint will inform and deter any individual considering a contract with John Casablancas.

Sincerely,

Review: I've made it clear to John Casablancas Modeling & Career Centers, that due to unemployment, I am no longer able to afford the modeling lessons for my son. The classes are $40 per session and I've paid in advance $340. I informed [redacted] on May 22 and again on June 17 that my son will no longer be attending the modeling classes. Since I paid $340 in advance for the four lessons, there's a credit balance of $160. I've contacted the number listed on their correspondence, but you get a recording and NEVER a human being. The recording indicates the office is closed and to call back during normal business hours [redacted]. I've called during normal business hours and still get the same recording. The so called balance owed keep going higher and higher. I've made it clear that my son is not attending. I am not going to pay for services when my son doesn't attend.Desired Settlement: They need to stop threatening to attack my credit indicating the "so-called" debt will be used in collections. I don't owe for classes that my son does not attend.

I am rejecting this response because I DID NOT SIGN the attached contract. I signed a form for my son to attend, not a signed contract. John Casablanca must've done a cut and paste job with my signature. We will have to take this matter to court, because I wil not be sending them a payment, in which I am not working. In additon they have the incorrect date that I withdrew my son. He was withdrawn Wednesday, May 22nd, not May 30th.

I am rejecting this response because:

I am in total disagreement with John Casablanca. I signed a letter for my son to attend the classes. I did not sign the contract they presented to Revdex.com. I DO NOT HAVE A COPY OF THE CONTRACT THEY PRESENTED. The "ORGINAL" NEEDS TO BE PROVIDED. We can go to court to resolve this matter. I AM NOT PAYING!!!! - simple. I know of several people that attend the classes at John Casablanca and theIr modeling careers went no where, nor did they do anything to help get a modeling contract as promised. Where did the $340 I paid go? My son went to four classes at $40 per session totaling $120.00.

As I explained, I am currently unemployed and it's way more important for me to pay my bills so that I can sustain living, not making Casablanca rich.

Casablanca - I'll see you in court!!!!
