I am writing in response to the claim Mr [redacted] submitted, in regards to his hardwood floorsMr [redacted] states that he didn’t see the scratches until the following morning when the sunlight came in Please understand that his move that was completed at 4pmIn July, it is still very bright outside at 4pm and any scratches would have been seen while the movers were still thereIn addition, Mr [redacted] had the opportunity to write down any damage or otherwise on the Notification of Loss or Damage At Delivery form (included with his paperwork on the day of his move), but he put a line thru the from and signed it, indicating there were no damagesPlease understand that our paperwork is very clear that we are not responsible for any damage to the residence This is set in place as our movers cannot go inch by inch to inspect every area of the house for pre-existing scratches, dents, dings, etc This applies to all of our customers, we do not treat any customers differentlyIn regards to the claim he submitted, our position remains the sameHowever, Mr [redacted] can file a claim with his homeowners insurance, which will then subrogate us

I hired Jordan River Moving to move our personal belongings from our home in SeattleAfter agreeing to the move their crew showed up on February 28, 2017, two hours late at 10:amThe lead man spoke little to no English and understood even lessI repeatedly told him everything had to be taken out of the houseHe said "ok" then ignored my directions, removing items not to be stored and leaving items needing to be stored in the houseI gave them, keys and the access codes to my storage units at [redacted]  on MLK Way in SeattleI asked them to put my musical instruments and books in the inside unit, and the rest in the outside unitThese instructions were also ignoredAbout 5:pm, they informed me they were quitting, leaving half of my belongings in the house their truck loaded but not delivered to storageI asked them to take them to Kirkland and return them to [redacted] Storage the next dayThey agreed but refused to finish the move, then demanded paymentThey claim

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I'd sum it up all like this You work hard, save your money, so you can upgrade your home.As part of the process I acquired the services of Jordan River Moving & Storage to do the "heavy lifting" of moving my kitchen, dining and living room furniture before and after having my hardwood floors refinished and what I'm left with are indentations and a long scratch in my floor Their professionalism, integrity, business practices and policies are to be questioned.Sincerely, [redacted]

It was my third moving in WA but I needed it as soon as possible. Jordan River Moving scheduled us as per our request very quickly. They came in four hours and made everything perfect. Very quickly. Thank you for your help and fantastic work!

On October 23, 2017, we arranged for Jordan River Moving & Storage, NE 126th Place, Suite A, Kirkland, WA to move our furniture from Port Ludlow, WA to Leawood, KSThe furniture was picked up on November 17, and delivered on December 11, We paid Jordan River $5,
During the move, the corners of a triple bedroom dresser were crushed and a tool box full of tools was lostThe combined value of these items is $Pictures of the damaged dresser are available upon request
When we contacted Jordan River about these problems, they directed us to an insurance company by the name of Claim Service InternationalAt Jordan River's direction, we filed a claim with CSI on December 27, To date, six weeks later, we have heard nothing from CSIJordan River does not respond to our messages
A reputable firm would have acknowledged these problems and dealt with them promptlyJordan River has opted to pass the issue on to an insurance company, with

I moved with this company times in the past, both long-distanceBoth times they did a lot of damage, broke legs of furniture (including piano) and were a lot of scratchesLast time I had to solve a nasty dispute with the poor long-distance driver because nobody coordinated with him exact charges and way of payment in advanceThey don't carry insurance on the purpose, so they are not responsible for damagesStill their storage option is convenient when you don't have a place to move to right away, for long distanceThat seems to be their "bait", even though charges for it is much increased now - "handling fees", even though they claim it to be free for the first monthIt was 10% of my total move costPretty heftyI tried to re-book my upcoming long distance move again with them, and had to change my schedule and asked to refund a deposit, since my moving schedule still had to be changedThe cocky sales person David rudely told me that since it was a second time I cancel, they would reject my service in the future to move with them, because they have to pay 2% credit card fee on processing my $deposit, which would be about $7? They officially promise (on their confirmation) to return deposit hours before the move without any problems (and I did weeks in advance), and now are being cheap and emotionally charged about a few bucks, and not to care to loose the long-term customer?? ObviouslyI talked to the "customer service" person Emily after David who claimed to be his manager and told her my experienceShe apologized a few times, but nothing else she could do, seemed likeToday another person told me she is not a manager at all, and has nothing to do with sales and their employees anywayNow, they hold up my deposit for no reason, and not returning it, even though he still promised to process it same dayHe liedI talked to another woman today who picked up the phone, she didn't introduce herself, and talked to her about my deposit, and if I could talk to someone else other than David about my future move as well, since I still considered themShe put me on hold, and after a few minutes, she announced that they can't accommodate my move at all, since my request for refund offended the sale person, and I cancel "too many times"Oh, boy! :) So sensitive :))
Well, I surely will find another more polite moving company, and good rid, because I never moved with so much damage like from Jordan River anyway.They push you to book and put deposit down right away, with the promise to return it if something doesn't work out in your moving plans, and then they deceive you and keep your money, and get upset about it, and make you look like it is all your faultWhat a griefWell, I will definitely find more honest company, and who can handle sales more professionally, and without emotional blowups and deceit of keeping your depositIt is a first time ever I file a complaint like that, but I feel other people should know and be carefulJordan River's both sales and moving teams do not hold up to good quality to be professional movers, not even average, just really badI was wondering how come they are always available on short terms, but most of other companies, even large ones book up way in advanceBecause people learn to stay away from themLots of grief and hard time, and losses, their middle nameI learned now tooPotential customers beware!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jordan River Moving And Storage .The coordinator was responsive, communicative, and helpful in setting up our appointment and provided a nice estimate for our moveThey were extremely knowledgeable and works hard for customersThanks guys, I appreciate your hard work and they made the move smooth and easy for meHighly Recommended!

We were charged 750$ for a bedroom/studio move of mile w/ a stop to discard a couch at the dumpThis is nearly more than we were quoted, and the entire move took about hours
The movers left before they had loaded everything, and we had to haul a few loads in our on our own afterwardsAdditionally, the one of the movers was ill and used our restroom for (#2) multiple timesAt our new apartment, he did so without us having unpacked any soapWhich means he handled our items without washing his handsThe smell and experience was absolutely miserable
Finally, they didn't wrap/protect either of our TVs or my computer monitorAs a result, they shattered my new 300$ monitor screenWorse, they put us through the hassle of submitting a claim (taking photos, filling out paperwork) and then offered to compensate us less than $for it (based on weight)
I have never felt more ripped off in my entire lifeThere are many other companies to choose from in the Seattle area, and I strongly, strongly urge you to do so

I used Jordan River to move, store and then move back my furniture last yearWhen the furniture was delivered back to my house I was told that I would be refunded $for blankets when I returned themFurther, I was told what the final cost for the moving would be, I signed in agreement and made the final payment using my credit cardA few days later I got an e-mail from Jordan River telling me that they had not charged me correctlyI told the lady that that is not my faultI signed and agreed to an amount and that is what I paidThey cannot retroactively go and charge me more than the amount I had already signed in agreement for and paid forShe told me that was fine and she would write off their errorHowever, a few months later when I returned the blankets for which I was promised a refund of $per blanket (I returned blankets expecting a $refund) the lady then told me she refused to refund me for the blankets because she would instead credit the money toward th

Our position remains the same. As indicated before, even the customer didn't see the scratch that he states our movers did. Our movers also did not see any damages at the time of the move. Our opinion, the scratches were not made by our movers.Even after all that was stated above and before, we would still like to come to a resolution. In the interest of customer service, we would like to off $as such scratches can be repaired with that amount

Got my place moved professionally and quicklyI have a king size bed, huge dresser, large mirror, night stand, desk, chairs, and many boxes and suit casesAll of them arrived at my new place without any scratches.Everything went extremely smooth.The price is a bit lower than other movers tooI'd use Jordan River Moving again in the future and recommend them

We just received notification on 7/22/that there was a complaint submitted. We have not received anything in the mailprior to this, thus the reason that we are just now responding. Please update your records to make sure youhave the correct mailing address of *** ** *** *** ***
**Kirkland, WA 98034. We received a claim form from Mr***, sent someone out toview the damages, then processed his claim in accordance with the rules andregulations published in our tariff. Mr***’s claim has since been finalized and his sofa was picked up by afurniture restoration company for repair. Mr***’s desired settlement has been met, even prior to our knowledge of thesubmitted complaint. Please update your records accordingly
