Jordan River Moving & Storage Reviews (32)

Jordan River Moving crew was amazingOn time, careful, and fastThey helped us to shift my local shop few blocks awayIt was really stress-free because of these guysDefinitely recommending these movers, the entire process was smooth and affordableI've already recommended them to two other familiesCan't say enough great things about them

Can't say enough nice things about Jordan River Moving crewThorough, careful and just downright nice people to work with While moving always takes longer than we think, they came in on time, worked efficiently to carefully wrap all of the furniture, as well as disassemble and reassemble some pieces, and hustled to get everything done all along the wayGreat work!

We decided to hire packers and movers to make our move less stressfulWe got several quotes and this company was the best oneThe packers arrived on time and carefully and efficiently packed all our belongingsThese guys didn't break anything and did an amazing job! I highly recommend Jordan River Moving

I hired Jordan River Moving to move our personal belongings from our home in SeattleAfter agreeing to the move their crew showed up on February 28, 2017, two hours late at 10:amThe lead man spoke little to no English and understood even lessI repeatedly told him everything had to be taken out of the houseHe said "ok" then ignored my directions, removing items not to be stored and leaving items needing to be stored in the houseI gave them, keys and the access codes to my storage units at *** *** on MLK Way in SeattleI asked them to put my musical instruments and books in the inside unit, and the rest in the outside unitThese instructions were also ignoredAbout 5:pm, they informed me they were quitting, leaving half of my belongings in the house their truck loaded but not delivered to storageI asked them to take them to Kirkland and return them to *** Storage the next dayThey agreed but refused to finish the move, then demanded paymentThey claim

I had my hardwood floors refinished from 07/02/to 07/07/ Before and after the refinishing of the floors I employed Jordan River Moving & Storage to remove and replace the furniture from my kitchen, dining room and living room On July 10, 2017, following the completion of the hardwood floors, Jordan River brought the kitchen, dining room and living room furniture stored in my garage and guest bedroom back into place Everything appeared fine and Jordan River left The following morning I got up and started to put my house back together With the morning light coming through the dining room window I noticed a scratch, approximately inches in length, in front of the china hutch in the dining room I also noticed some indentations, approximately inches in length, in the hallway floor leading from the guest bedroom where the top portion of the china hutch was stored I contacted Jordan River and they sent a claim form in the mail While awaiting the form, I com

I had Jordan River Moving crew move my one bedroom to another apartment and they were great! Super fast and clean work! It took me less than hours! I will definitely recommend this company to everyone who want moving services! Great work team!

The day of the move was the hottest day of the year The humidity was very high We moved to a split level rental where every piece had to be taken up stairs and there was no air conditioning Conditions were challenging, to say the least Despite this, "Mata" the Crew Chief and his men worked without complaint all day The move took extra time beyond the original bid to move many items that were not on the bid We definitely plan to use them for our final move to our new home in Eastern Washington when it's finished and can't say enough good things about their professionalism, courtesy and work ethic Not a single thing was damaged or scratched

Estimate went wellTheir guy came in pretty close to actualSales guy in office isn't badThey really need to have better communication between admin and the warehouseWe had a temperpedic bed that had to lay flatTom assured me over and over that it was in our notes and the guys would do itWent out during packing and there was our bed, on it's side and squished between our furnitureTold foreman it had to lay flat so they had to take a bunch of stuff out to get the bed outNot happy campersBe very, very careful when they pack upThey like to leave things behindExample, our brooms and my bucketIt was sitting by garage door and I had to tell them to pack itOur delivery date was set so we did our thing at our new home to prepare for deliveryGot a cal that the our stuff was coming at noonLater, get a call that it will be after dinnerGet a call at dinner time and told the truck is stuck in a weigh station because the truck was overweightI'm told their drive "may" have filled the gas tank so it made the truck overweightWhen I heard that, I just wanted to slam my head on the wallWhat a stupid excuseSo another truck has to be sent (hours) and our stuff will come later tonightUnacceptable because we can't be botheering our neighbors that lateTold truck will arrive between and next dayWe wait and wait and wait, no truckFinally, about 1pm, the truck shows upGuys do a good job of unloading, were careful to not damage anythingPut everything together for usOh, second truck showed upAnd our bed was standing up, squished between our furnitureSERIOUSLY??? Their office people don't have one clue what is going on and they will tell you what you want to hear and then won't communicate one thing to warehouseThey clean up well
Few final things, they wrap up everything real wellReal wellTheir blankets are filthy and need to be cleaned REALLY badThey make a huge mess all over your furniture and new homeMy final issue, they will bill you for every extra day you delayWe had to delay days due to error made by my mortgage officer but when the delay is their fault, they won't reimburse you instead, using the "contract says to days"When the delay is clearly their fault, they should offer a refund but reading other reviews, I see they like to screw you on that partI may or may not refer themReally tough to say

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]

I am writing in response to the claim Mr. [redacted] submitted, in regards to his hardwood floors. Mr. [redacted] states that he didn’t see the scratches until the following morning when the sunlight came in.  Please understand that his move that was completed at 4pm. In July, it is still very...

bright outside at 4pm and any scratches would have been seen while the movers were still there. In addition, Mr. [redacted] had the opportunity to write down any damage or otherwise on the Notification of Loss or Damage At Delivery form (included with his paperwork on the day of his move), but he put a line thru the from and signed it, indicating there were no damages. Please understand that our paperwork is very clear that we are not responsible for any damage to the residence.  This is set in place as our movers cannot go inch by inch to inspect every area of the house for pre-existing scratches, dents, dings, etc.  This applies to all of our customers, we do not treat any customers differently. In regards to the claim he submitted, our position remains the same. However, Mr. [redacted] can file a claim with his homeowners insurance, which will then subrogate us.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Jordan River is saying that these scratches and indentations in the floor just magically appeared?  Its funny that the arc of the indentations matches the path the movers took to move the top portion of the china hutch from the guest bedroom to the dining room on a dolly and the scratch in the dining room floor starts where the bottom portion of the china hutch was put down.  My position hasn't changed as well.  Jordan River caused damage to my newly refinished hardwood floors and the estimate I received from the hardwood flooring company that refinished the floors is $1,219.63 to repair and Jordan River wants to compensate me $200.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I'd sum it up all like this.  You work hard, save your money, so you can upgrade your home.As part of the process I acquired the services of Jordan River Moving & Storage to do the "heavy lifting" of moving my kitchen, dining and living room furniture before and after having my hardwood floors refinished and what I'm left with are indentations and a long scratch in my floor.  Their professionalism, integrity, business practices and policies are to be questioned.Sincerely,
[redacted]
