Laura designed a new kitchen in my Florida condo, the original kitchen being fron This required a partial wall removal and complete floor to ceiling renovationLaura is a very good kitchen designer who has a great eye for making the best of a space, in addition to having many great ideasShe also knows many, many products and appliances and can make suggestions in those areasI have many lower roll out drawers now instead of cabinets, which is much more useful for storageMy cabinets are light grey and very well madeMy countertop is white quartz and looks stunningThe construction was well done, including wall removal and ceiling remodelJustin the contractor and his team were very neatWe discussed wall colors and grout colors at length once I got back to Florida, and I felt very satisfied with that processJustin and his team put in a new floor throughout the condo and it looks fantasticCommunication is important and I was able to have some finish details correctedBoth Laura and Justin were responsive with fixing a couple of issuesMy kitchen is wonderful and I wouldn't change anything in it
Laura has been great to work with She is a win-win person and truly cares about her clients needs and concerns I highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a great experience
Our experience with Laura was outstanding From the initial planning visit to the final walkthrough, we felt that Laura was always looking out for our best interests
We contacted Laura about ideas on how to improve our kitchen Laura spent our first meeting together really getting to understand what we had in mind She proposed high level ideas and always took our feedback into account Within a week after that initial meeting, we had plans back from Laura on a vision for how to remodel our kitchen Laura took our old 1990s designed claustrophobic kitchen arrangement and literally transformed the entire condo Everything from flooring to cabinets and appliances We gained a peninsula with a tremendous amount of space for preparation of food as well as entertaining guests And the storage is absolutely amazing In our small condo, we now have the place to put everything and then more Big changes and small touches - Laura had an eye not only for practical uses of space, but she has some wonderfully creative ideas on the right finishes and the right looks for our kitchen
The work was done to perfection We were not in town for the duration of the projectLaura kept in constant contact with us, telling us about the progress and getting our opinion on any changes required as always happens during any remodeling project
The end result is spectacular Our condo has been transformed We have an amazing kitchen, an incredible new bathroom, new flooring and a wonderful new layout for our retirement home
Laura did a fantastic job visualizing my finished kitchen and helped me remodel within my budget She looked for areas where I could save and recommended where I could splurge a little and get bang for my buck I had a few issues (to be expected) and she was immediately responsive and responsibly resolved for me, even absorbing the cost when it's questionable as to whether or not she needed too She's VERY honest and has integrity And finally my kitchen is amazing! It's even on a website of beautiful kitchens! It's stunning and it was all within my rather modest budget
On September 6th we met with MsLaura W, the Owner and paid her in good faith a fee of $to draw a kitchen layout for our home in Lakewood Ranch, Florida We discussed our budget of around $50, At that meeting she said she would draw layouts for us as we had two options for the remodeling of the kitchen One with a new island and one with then existing islandOn September 20th we talked with Laura since we had not received either layoutShe was out of town and promise us that on the 29th we would have something
On Oct 2nd (after almost a month) we finally got the first look at the layoutI told her specifically in detail what I wanted and needed in the kitchenI had asked her for a couple of certain items which were missing in the first drawingShe made some changes over the next few daysShe claims she did more than changes that is ridiculous, and she didn't listen to our precise instructions and kept doing it her own wayShe seemed to be in a hurry to get it priced out but we asked her to wait until we had the layout the way we wanted it
On October 9th we received an e-mail quote for the job of 63,000.00, a bit over our original budgetI contacted Laura to ask her, To break down the quote and to please finish the incomplete layout, as there were wrong measurements where the 24' dishwasher was, she had an 18' set of drawersWe had asked the drawing to show a couple of the cabinets to be taller and a few to have glass in the doors I told her I wanted it to be right because I was going to get some other bids on the project to compare and needed the correct measurements She told us she had done what she had promised and even beyond, she would not break down the quote and we that could make more changes after we put down more money for Retainer and got closer to our start date We reminded her that she was the one who said she was going to draw layouts and we only got one that was not even finishedShe justify herself by saying that the two designs were not in the contract even when she committed that to us verbally when we met her and requested payment on the spot to start the workShe was very rude, very unprofessional, with a very bad attitude and a terrible customer service approachShe refused to made any changes even though the only design we got was incomplete and had mistakes we pointed out to herWe asked her to refund out initial payment of $ if she wasn't going to finish the layout correctlyShe then decided she didn't want to work with us and told us not to bother her againThis is not the way to treat a customer and at this time we want our $to be refunded for an unprofessional, incomplete job with her terrible and offensive approach to us as her clients
Laura and her team was fantastic!!! She was always there to make suggestions and was very helpful!! Justin (Her contractor) and his team was outstanding!! Both very professional and always kept us in the loop!!
What a fantastic kitchen remodelOur kitchen was 'gutted' due to the massive remodel I wanted and it turned out beautifulWorkers were professional and went above and beyondLaura is extremely picky - had things tweaked and changed -even things I hadn't noticedLaura and everyone involved did everything they could to ensure I would love my new kitchenLaura was so responsive - I asked and she respondedI would definitely recommend Kitchen Design by Laura to anyone considering a remodel
At our first meeting with Kitchen Design by Laura - we knew she was the one for us We had told our wants to others but the plans that they came with were theirs not ours! No one listened to what we were saying When Laura Wcame in, she took the time to understand our needs - she asked us questions about our likes and dislikes, looked around our condo and wanted to know what current furniture we would keep, what we would potentially get, what our style was, etc Then we told her what we wanted and why - for example - wall oven and soaker tub (I have a bad back) When we were told by others that the wall oven would not work - Laura said - "we can make it work." This was her attitude all throughout the process with us! She is very creative and did make it work and we have a fabulous kitchen - open and functional She helped us pick the items for the remodel and gave honest opinions on colors/functionality - which was much appreciated The contractors that worked on our job were just great They are experts at their trades and we walked into a beautifully remodeled condo
Working with Laura was a good experienceShe designed kitchens for usHer sub contractors did excellent workWe are disappointed in the Avon cabinetsThey looked good, but the laminate started separating after a short time, and the company would not stand behind their product
Laura helped design our master bathShe was a pleasure to work with and she helped every step of the wayI had put off doing this for so long because I was uncertain about what I really wantedLaura made suggestions and transformed an 80's bathroom into a modern bathroom to die for
