Deceitful practices to indiscriminately solicit people for "full-time, $60k wage Benefits Administrator" job, when the only "job" available is a where YOU pay for training, background check, etcbefore you even get a chance to ask about the job description

Both I and my senior team have worked with JSM Consulting on various projects over the past number of yearsIn all cases we have found them to add value to any given project or assignment.Great!

JSM provided services that exceed the expectations of our organization We would certainly consider doing business with them again and would happily recommend their services to others If you have needs for consulting services, JMS has high quality consultants that are competent and capable of meeting your organizational needs

In my opinion, JSM Consulting and Co-Owner [redacted] *** are unethical, irrational, fraudulent and engage in fly-by-night recruitment tacticsI first was contacted by [redacted] *** (associated e-mails [redacted]  and [redacted] are e-mails in which I received e-mail from him) on Oct24th 2014, as he found my information on a job boardAs described in my revised complaint below, [redacted] did a poor job of following up with applicants (e-mail, phone or otherwise), didn’t answer any of my questions or any of my e-mails personally (any “response” I got was a canned, automated response with advertising for positions his clients had), and so I filed a complaint with the Revdex.comI put my complaint under the category “Advertising Issue - Bait and Switch”, with the following desired resolution being “I do not want to be contacted by e-mail, telephone, or snail mail, from ANYONE from either JSM Consulting or Crowe and Associates, I want to be permanently removed from all their lists, I want written confirmation of such an action from JSM Consulting, and my comments about my experience will remain, because I do not appreciate this company's bait and switch recruiting tactics, or their lack of transparency.” and received the following response from [redacted] *** on 11/17/11:47:AM: “Hello [redacted]  I hope I am answering your questions to satisfaction...I am a real person from a real company, I am not a recruiter but from time to time businesses that I work with ask for my help in staffingCrowe and Associates is a real company under the umbrella of Torchmark/American income lifeI would not and will not contact you in the future, you submitted your resume on a public site in hopes for employment so I offered you an employment opportunity-Gave you the company name -Address-Position they are hiring for (Union Benefit Specialist)There was no bait and switch as I offered you the position that they are hiring for which offers the average starting wage is around $60,a yearas stated in the email you provided to the Revdex.com I strongly feel words like bait and switch and other things you put in your email are slander so I would request you remove this compliant immediatelyI believe I addressed all your concerns and I apologize I am not more available via phoneMichael Mell JSM Consulting [redacted]  I had no intention of slandering [redacted] ***, so after looking over his response I decided to modify my complaint to category "Customer Service Issue - The failure to respond to phone calls or written requests for assistance or support"., because [redacted]  pointed out that there was no bait and switch with the company and position he was setting me up to interview with, and the "bait and switch" I was referring to was the interview format (I was expecting a 1-on-interview with someone and instead it was a cattle call interview where others were scheduled at the same time as I was, and I did not meet with the person he said I'd be meeting with)Other than that, I simply made sure certain statements were clarified as opinion and not fact, and the facts of the situation remained unchanged through the entire processI submitted my revised complaint on 12/1/12:00:AM which was as follows, and my desired resolution was the same: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10297229, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.”I would like to adjust the category to be "Customer Service Issue - The failure to respond to phone calls or written requests for assistance or support", and here is my revised statement: I was contacted by [redacted] *** of JSM Consulting via [redacted] .com, who found my resume on one of the job boards online (not sure if it was Monster, CareerBuilder, Indeed, LinkedIn or another) on Oct24, 2014, with the following message: "Hello [redacted]  I hope you are doing well! JSM Consulting, LLC WWW.JSMFIRM.COM [redacted]  Email: [redacted] Never once was I able to contact [redacted] *** via telephone, and every time I did, it either said that my message would be transcribed to him via e-mail, or that the VM client could not automatically find a voice mailI tried to do research on Crowe and Associates to learn about the company prior to interviewing, and initially thought I'd be interviewing for http://www.croweandassociates.com/After researching online, signs appeared to point to "Crowe and Associates" merely being a branch of American Income Life, and I found an alarming article alleging unfair business/advertising tactics for one [redacted] *** (article is here: http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/nigel-crowe/sarasota-florida-/nigel-crowe-karen-cr... I did not know if this was the same [redacted] *hat I'd be interviewing with or not, but I decided to give the [redacted] I'd be interviewing with the benefit of a doubt, and decided to e-mail Michael Mell with the following response, hoping to get my concerns addressed: Hello [redacted] l! I did some research on Crowe and Associates and I had a couple of questions I was hoping to run by you: - For the position of Union Benefits Representative that starts at about $60,000/year, is this a sales role or an administrative/HR role? The reason I ask is because I am in no way interested in sales positions, but if it's an administrative/HR role, that's a different story- Is the compensation for Union Benefits Representative structured as salary, salary + commission, commission only, or salary vs commission draw? - How long has Crowe and Associates been in business? - How long has JSM represented Crowe and Associates? - Iswww.croweandassociates.com the correct website for the organization? - Is Crowe and Associates a subsidiary or branch office for another company/umbrella organizationI'd appreciate any information you can give meThank you! [redacted]  Sent from my iPhone I did not hear anything back from [redacted] ***, so I called the telephone number [redacted] l provided to me, and the woman on the other end of the line confirmed that the [redacted] was [redacted] ***, and that it was indeed a branch of American Income Life; I asked more information about the position, and was referred to their HR person, who never returned my telephone callsHaving no luck with [redacted]  or the HR person, I proceeded to the interview, and decided I'd have to judge from there the legitimacy of the positionI arrive on time for my interview at the designated place and location, and there is at least other people in a small waiting room along with me, in what some describe, and what I would describe based on my own opinion as a “cattle call” style interview arrangementI signed the appointment roster, and I see that others have indicated they are scheduled for the exact same interview time as I am, and I saw at least one individual on that roster who listed [redacted] *** as his referral sourceI’m asked by a casually dressed secretary, who looks as though she may have been a minor (I could be wrong about that), to complete a brief piece of paper with application informationAfter watching others go before me, I did end up meeting with someone, and it was NOT [redacted] but a gentleman named [redacted] , who asked me no more than short questions, gave me the opportunity to ask questions, and then said phase would be an in-person interview and I was dismissedHaving felt deceived by JSM Consulting and Crowe and Associates, I later called back and excused myself from any further part of the interview processI sent a brutally honest reply to [redacted] *** on October entitled “today’s interview”, which read thus: “Hello [redacted] ,I would like to request that you remove me from your talent database and not share my information with anyone furtherAfter reading some things on the internet I had some concerns, which is why I asked you the questions I did (which you never answered or even said you received), but I decided to proceed to the interview and reserve judgment in case my instincts were wrongThey weren'tQuite frankly I'm appalledI went to the interview expecting a 1-on-with ***, and saw the waiting area filled with candidates in a cattle-call type interviewI was also displeased that "Crowe and Asdociates" was really a life insurance firm, and I met with someone that wasn't *** for a question meet and greetThe worst part was I couldn't get any information out of you or anyone there regarding what the position entails! I feel deceived by both you and the organization due to your stonewalling, and if these are the kinds of "opportunities" JSM Consulting has for candidates, please count me outHave a nice life.” I then received the following response on October 31st from [redacted] *** from his [redacted] e-mail: “Hello [redacted] , I hope you are doing well! By your own admission -You were looking for employment-I emailed you an employment offer-Gave you all the details (including business name, address and position)-Responded to all of your emails I also sent you an email apologizing that I would be unable to call you and on my voicemail it says that email is the best form of contact? I have no obligation to call you, you are not a customer of JSM Consulting and you continue to state and imply things that are not trueI am requesting for the second time now that you retract and remove all slander immediately.” However this time, [redacted] without a doubt flat-out lied in his response; any “response” to “all my e-mails” were simply the canned examples I’ve given in my complaint, he never answered any of my questions regarding the interview, and his statement of “you are not a customer of JSM Consulting” is not only wrong, but insulting, and proves, in my opinion, that he’s simply in the business of getting any warm bodies he can in the door for his clients in his cattle call interviewsTrue, I am not a customer of JSM Consulting in the sense of I pay [redacted]  for his consultation services, or I pay [redacted] for him to set me up with interviews, but because [redacted] is serving in the role of recruiter (even though he says he is not a recruiter), and he was supposed to assist me in employment with his clients, that is a customer/service provider relationshipEven though there was no payment, the payouts for him for his service to me would have been a) strengthened positive relationships between myself and the client he placed me with because I would have performed well, and b) REFERRALS from me to him, thereby resulting in more positive relationships with clients and potential clients and positive word of mouthBut because [redacted] treated me as a dime-a-dozen warm body, he’s not going to get that from me, and thus caused me to complain to the Revdex.comAs for any “slander” at that point, there was none, as everything in my revised complaint was and is 100% true and I have every piece of e-mail to back up the facts, and I also searched through every inbox, spam, junk and other folder and have NO responses from [redacted] *ell other than those canned advertising responses, so unless [redacted]  is referring to those (which did in no way answer any of my concerns or inquiries), he’s a complete liarFurthermore, NOT ONCE did [redacted] say Crowe and Associates was an American Income Life office, until I complained to the Revdex.com, and I originally found out by calling the officeI did some research and found that there were others who had similar experiences with [redacted] on the following threads: http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx [redacted] and http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/JSM-Consulting-of-USA/Beltsville-Maryland-20705/JS... looked up his name in the Wisconsin Case Net Criminal Database, and found that there is a Michael TMell who was a losing Defendant doing business under the company “My Family Getaways” in a suit between the State of Wisconsin and My Family Getaways (Dane County Case Number 2013CVFiled 01-10-2013), a business that allegedly sold consumers vacation packages and the services were not what consumers were promised (per this article: http://www.wkow.com/story/15551264/web-series-shows-inside-look-at-local-call-ce... furthermore, according to the State of Wisconsin, a [redacted] *** born in has a misdemeanor (retail theft, battery, operating motor vehicle while revoked xbetween 2002-2008) and felony (taking vehicle and driving w/o permission in 2004) criminal history (according to website http://wcca.wicourts.gov/pager.do;jsessionid=0C69F62EFC20B8750872F6C789FB5289.re... I did not remove my complaint or revise my statements any further, and I closed the complaint with this response on 12/1/9:10:PM: “Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10297229, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meThe business has removed me from its mailing list, and I have revised my previous complaint to more appropriately reflect the nature of my grievanceHaving revised this, I am not removing my complaint, because my up-to-date complaint has nothing slanderous contained therein despite what this person saysRegards, [redacted] So I thought that was the end of it, but to my shock and surprise, I get a LINKEDIN INVITATION from [redacted] on 12/18/2014, after all this back and forth between me and him via Revdex.com! I waited a few days, thinking maybe it was a mistake on his part or perhaps a virus, but the invitation was never rescinded, so I blocked him, and I am now renewing my complaint with the Revdex.com because [redacted] broke the desired resolution that I would not be contacted by him or anyone else from JSM ConsultingBased on my past experience and opinion of [redacted] character, it is my opinion he was trying to access my LinkedIn contacts to try and contact them with his misleading “opportunities” Looking at previous complaints here and elsewhere, it appears [redacted]  defense to every complaint against him for his poor and misleading services is to accuse the complainant of slander, point out obvious details (ex“you were looking for a job, I gave you this information”) that have little to no relevance to the nature of why the person is complaining, and possibly threaten them with legal actionI am not revising or removing anything in this complaint, and nothing [redacted] says or threatens will change that; the facts in my experience are 100% true as I have stated them, opinion is clearly stated, and related information has been given the appropriate sourcesFortunately in my case, all that was wasted was my valuable time, and I hope this review saves others from the mistake of replying to anything from JSM ConsultingThis firm and [redacted] *** are unprofessional, dubious, misleading, vague, shady, and care nothing about providing true talent for their clients, just warm bodiesJOB SEEKERS AND THOSE SEEKING CONSULTING ADVICE FROM THEM, STEER CLEAR!!

I was particularly impressed by the confidence in their skills that allows them to be able to work on a no win no fee basisI must admit without this, my scepticism would have probably prevented us from working together.I would have no hesitation in recommending JSM Consulting to any of my business associates. Please pass on my thanks to all of the team

The following is my personal experience and personal opinion - I too received emails, as in plural, over a period of monthsJust like all the other posts, the emails I received had the exact same verbiage except with my relevant information (phone, zip code, etc)I attempted to reply the first time I received correspondence and received a "canned" email reply because I asked specific questions and made specific statements which were in no way acknowledged let alone addressedInstead saying how something came up and the interview would be rescheduledTo which I replied again with very specific questions and statementsYet again I received another "canned" response - again no acknowledgement of anything I said in my emailInstead it gave me an address of a warehouseWhen I checked online no businesses were listed as residing thereI feel this is a complete scam and bogus activity for who knows what reasonI have since reported this accordingly to the appropriate agenciesLastly I previously clicked the link to be removed from the email list yet I received another emailI will not do so again for fear of someway compromising the integrity and security of my devices and the data contained thereinTo anyone claiming to work for or represent this company and accuse me of slander - I have declared my review as my opinion and experience (both completely legal and in no way can it legally be labeled slanderous) not a statement of fact

This guy is a total fraud He will not communicate with you in any form except e-mail and he is very selective on the e-mails he responds too*** *** contacted three days ago via e-mail:

Beware people when posting your resume on line as these people are liars, cheaters, and stalkers

JSM Consulting have always been excellent at matching my personal objectives with suitable good clients over many yearsThey are professional and responsive and I regularly recommend them to both clients and other consultants

This business acted as a recruiter by contacting me (a job seeker) for an interview with a client They found my resume posted in a job search website I was emailed regarding an interview with a company called Cunningham & Associates
I specifically told them (via email) that I would not be interested in the position if it was "insurance sales" I was told that the company was hiring for various positions, "it is not insurance sales"
I went to the interview It was a mass cattle call with approx people scheduled at the same time I was put into a group of and asked to edit in the conference room While in the room waiting the applicants started talking It became clear that each of us had been recruited by JSM Consultants We had all asked about the positions available and had all been mislead and told by JSM that these were NOT insurance sales jobs All of us had been told the position different from they were offering
When the Cunningham representative entered the room, group asked questions and the gentleman admitted that they were interviewing for people that would be required to get licensed and solicit insurance sales (It was not "cold calling", but it was insurance sales)
All of us in that room agreed that we had been drawn there under pretenses by JSM Consulting None of us stayed for the presentation This company cost myself and the other job seekers time and gas Deceiving us intentionally
I posted a negative review on JSM's website - in the review section Stating that I was unhappy about being mislead I told the 100% truth I was threatened with legal action for "slander" if I did not delete my review

I was contacted similarly to other negative reviewersImmediate red flag was that the sender, Michelle, included a ballpark estimate of a salary for the position I was applying for, which is considerably more than what my resume would normally yield, if we are being honestThe business she then, immediately, directed me to after I replied to the email was called something really ridiculous and I couldn't find a reputable website for it anywhere What concerns me is that she did provide me with a physical address of the business, but didn't give me a phone number or any real information that would actually help me get a jobI don't know if what this company is trying to do is dangerous, but it is certainly shadyAll of the email I received were formatted the exact same way as the other posters hereI highly recommend that you avoid this company

We are very impressed with the entire service providedFrom your responsiveness, to your creative input into the survey design, to your flexibility, to your regular updates and excellent client liaison, the quality of interviews and research output, I could not have asked for moreIt is really a pleasure to work with JSM Consulting

Dependable and possesses strong leadership and problem-solving skills*** divergent thinker and has the ability to come up with creative and innovative solutionsThank you very much JSM Consulting, LLC!

In reading over all of the previous customer reviews, that all are posted about a year or more ago, I can safely report this company, JMS Consulting, is still at their same old "scheme." I have received the same, exact email, three times over the last months Unfortunately, after the first email I received, I was very eager to get back to work, so I accepted the "interview" opportunity I found myself driving almost an hour out of my way, for a job that was being offered in my zip code area, just to be placed in a room with other unfortunate job seekers, and obnoxiously talked AT, by a young man in a cheap suit, promising money and company perks, and everything you ever wanted in a careerAfter about an hour at the office, they took a short break, where ThANK GOODNESS, they did give you the opportunity to "opt out," as the remaining portion of the show, was performed only for those that were seriously considering accepting this "once in a lifetime opportunity." What I did hear was, you had to out up your own money, buy fancy clothes and work many hours door to door, selling Life Insurance Policies to friends, family & neighbors, as well as mapping out other neighborhoods with higher incomes, that you could target for better salesNOT MY CUP OF TEA! And had they of been honest in the email, I never would have wasted my time, gas and resume paperInsead, they misled me in to believing I was going on an interview for a Benefits Specialist position, where I would take incoming customer service calls from Customers that had questions regarding their insurance policies Six months later, I received another email, exactly the same, from "Sylvia L***," and my friend received the exact email as well, from Sylvia, and the ONLY difference was the zip code where the "hiring company" was located My advice, any offers from JSM Consulting, ignore, abort, delete, junk it, spam it, report it, ....Just DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! I wish I would have read this page BEFORE I wasted my timeOh, I decided to come on here and read this today because I just received a fourth email, just like all of the others, and could not believe it, especially after I replied to "Sylvia," requesting my email and any other contact info they have, to be removed, as I have no interest in this company Immediately after sending the email, I received two more, just the same as all the othersCoincidence? I don't think!!
