My first impression was great, I was told they were gonna replace my yr old unit with a 5-yr.old refurbished unit, when unit was installed everything was on the sticker except the year of the unit, it was scratched off, I found out it was an year old unit but still as long as it worked good and lowered my bill I was ok with it, then from there my bills went up not down and the owner said he'd come over to check it to see if it was the unit and if so he'd Swap it out, never heard from him so called office his wife made an appt for Sep 3, No show no call, I called and they never called back till weeks later asking for Oct payment, how did I know I'd get a call then so I addressed my unhappiness with being blown off and she said [redacted] the owner would call me in the morning Oct again no call, I'm so upset over this and really thought they'd be a good company on first impression and have been so dissapointed, my daughters unit went out and asked me who I used and did not recommend them so now there not gonna get referrals from me so they lost more business now and I will never use them again

It is our goal for all of our customers to be satisfied customers I would have had no problem going back and redoing any work that was necessary, if I would have been given the opportunity to do so I have no records that Ms [redacted] had tried to contact Jungle Cat Heating and Cooling with any concerns or complaints regarding the install of the Rinnai Tankless water heaters Sincerely, [redacted] ***

I would never recommend this company based on poor, unsatisfactory customer service Company never returned phone calls or submitted requested paperwork they stated would be forwarded The technician's never arrived at specified times Owner indicated he fired one service tech based on the information the tech provided me Owner also stated he may need to fire a second tech because of information he provided meIn my opinion, the only service this company wanted to provide was an up sale of an outdated AC unit they had on hand in lieu of recognizing the home warranty that covered the unit

I had Jungle Cat out yesterday for a service call on my home's air conditioning unit because it wasn't cooling ***, the owner, is the person who showed up for the service He was right on time He checked my system and verified it was low on refrigerant He inspected the complete system to see if there was any leaks and when none where found, he added refrigerant My system needed less than pound of refrigerant to top it off and put it back into good working condition *** told me that my year old HVAC system was in excellent condition and didn't try to upsell anything to me He was professional, honest and competent It was refreshing to experience such a honest and competent service from a contractor Jungle Cat will be the company I use again when I need HVAC service in the future

+1

I hired this company on November 28, 2016, to repair an unknown problem within our furnace, where it wasn't firing properly and the heating cycle was erratic They responded out and ended up replacing the pressure switch and the flame sensor They then charged me $ This did not fix the problem When I called them back that same day to have them return, I wasn't contacted back until days later In the meantime, due to the sub-freezing winter weather, I was forced to call out a 2nd company The 2nd company correctly diagnosed the problem as being a faulty thermostat, told me what thermostat to buy and showed me how to install the new thermostat in order to keep their charge at a minimum I bought and installed the new thermostat and my furnace works perfectly now
That same 2nd company advised that though replacement of pressure switch by Jungle Cat was a good place to start, the markup cost for the pressure switch was a bit high, but the replacement of the flame sensor was confusing These sensors usually require just a cleaning and rarely fail The other confusing part was that Jungle Cat charged me $for the flame sensor I found that exact same flame sensor on Amazon for $with free shipping That's a 1000% markup! $for a $flame sensor That's the Amazon vendor's markup included
I had a feeling something was up during the repair when the technician Matt told me that the prices he gets for his parts are through a friend or relative and the prices are the "best available!" Ummm...no that clearly wasn't true
When I called Jungle Cat last week about the ridiculous markup for a part that wasn't necessary, the woman answering their phone agreed that it must have been an oversight and said that they would send me a check for $that day I have yet to receive any money back
Though the technicians are nice and appear friendly, the truth is clear in their inability to fix the problem and the dishonesty in their bill My experience strongly corresponds with the other reviews listed in the Revdex.com about this company

My first impression was great, I was told they were gonna replace my 30 yr old unit with a 5-6 yr.old refurbished unit, when unit was installed everything was on the sticker except the year of the unit, it was scratched off, I found out it was an 8 year old unit but still as long as it worked good and lowered my bill I was ok with it, then from there my bills went up not down and the owner said he'd come over to check it to see if it was the unit and if so he'd Swap it out, never heard from him so called office his wife made an appt for Sep 3, No show no call, I called and they never called back till 2 weeks later asking for Oct payment, how did I know I'd get a call then so I addressed my unhappiness with being blown off and she said [redacted] the owner would call me in the morning Oct 15 again no call, I'm so upset over this and really thought they'd be a good company on first impression and have been so dissapointed, my daughters unit went out and asked me who I used and did not recommend them so now there not gonna get referrals from me so they lost more business now and I will never use them again

After 3 separate attempts by two separate repair men to repair my air conditioning it is still not working. The only problem was hot air blowing everything else was working. I was treated very rudely by your front desk girl and will be filing a huge complaint with [redacted] and the Revdex.com. I have been very patient with your company and because I was not willing to wait around my home today for 7 hours for a repair man to show up your girl was very rude. She did not call me back at 8am today as promised the night before for a repair time. I had to call back at 9:30 to a rude little snot. I was going to tell her to put me on the schedule for Monday because we are leaving town in the morning, but she hung up on me. Terrible way to run a company, she should be fired....

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. As mentioned in my original complaint, I have phone records showing that I called Jungle Cat a number of times because neither of the Rinnai water heaters was working correctly, and also regarding the garage roof not being finished properly ( see photograph) and still leaking. I left a reasonable interval of time for Jungle Cat to respond before calling the Rinnai company. The Rinnai company told me to get the work inspected by a registered Rinnai installer, and provided me with a list. [redacted] was on this list. They came out to both properties as outlined in my original complaint, and told me that the work was not only not up to code, but in each case "a time bomb"  (their words) because it was only a matter of time before each unit would explode and bring down the wall with it, due to the pressure caused by not having the correct valve, and the wrong size of pipe having been used. It was very shocking to me to find out that the heaters were dangerous, and of course I needed to have them made safe by a registered Rinnai installer. For this reason I paid for [redacted] to fix the problems caused by the faulty installation done by Jungle Cat. This is all explained in my original complaint.
I also had my garage roof repaired by somebody else, as I did not want it to continue leaking, it looked unsightly, and I had lost confidence in Jungle Cat's work. But I did give them ample time to respnd to my phone calls before making this decision.
Regards,
[redacted]

I have a two-year service contract with Jungle cat and recently had a six-month maintenance service call during which the technician asked me to go into the house and turn the unit on. There was a loud piercing noise when the unit started. Prior to this I had no problems with the unit. The technician pulled the fuse to turn the unit off. He advised that the blower motor needed to be replaced. I noticed that a yellow and a purple wire were not connected to the capacitor and asked the technician why they were loose. The technician stated he disconnected them to check the voltage of the capacitor. The technician quoted a price of $441 to install a new motor. I said I needed time to think about it and the technician left with the wires still disconnected. I checked prices on the motor and the quote was reasonable so I scheduled a time for the motor to be installed. While waiting for the next service date, I opened up the unit and traced the loose wires to the blower motor. When the technician returned to install the new motor, I asked him to reconnect the loose wires, replace the fuses and turn the unit on. It ran just as it did before his first service call—no piercing noise. I elected to not replace the motor. The technician insisted the motor could go at any time but has worked fine. If they want to replace something that is costly, get a second opinion. They also push service contracts and warranties. They will not refund any unused services if you wish to cancel.

Sincerely,

Is!!!!!!!!!!!! Save yourself a lot of headache and aggravation by choosing someone else before wasting your time with these Iss. These people don't care about your discomfort or inconvenience only their own scheduling and they lie to cover it up saying parts are backordered when they are clearly available. Told us parts would take until end of week to get here when we checked with supplier they said they in stock and could be here next day. Liars!!!! Liars!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!

We recently used this company when our furnace malfunctioned. We did not choose them, they were assigned to us through a home warranty we had purchased when we bought our home. We will never use them again because: they failed to call when they promised to call; they either did not show up on time when they had made an appointment and/or completely failed to show up for the appointment they had set up; they did not call us to tell us they would be late or were not going to show up; they did not appear to have the tools or parts required for the repairs(it took 3 trips over ten days or more); they did not complete the repairs properly; they removed and disconnected the safety switches in our furnace without our knowledge or permission and did not tell us they had done so; they never came back after their last visit when they said they would do so. The office people were at times extremely rude. We will not use them again, you make your own decision.

Regards,

Jungle Cat Heating and Cooling made several trips to my home to get the heat going..each time they were unsuccessful,,they didn't return calls or show up when promised.... I called another company to get some heat when it was 11 degrees and that resulted my unit being disconnected for being a danger to my health and safety...

After having 2 local companies explain to me that my furnace was not installed correctly and that the gas pack was set up for Natural gas and my home is propane resulting in a life threatening situation, I will not allow Jungle Cat Heating and Cooling to be near my home.  If they couldn't install the unit correctly the first time why would I think they could do it right this time? I would like for them to pay the monies I am out for getting the work corrected...

I had Jungle Cat out yesterday for a service call on my home's air conditioning unit because it wasn't cooling. [redacted], the owner, is the person who showed up for the service. He was right on time. He checked my system and verified it was low on refrigerant. He inspected the complete system to see if there was any leaks and when none where found, he added refrigerant. My system needed less than 1 pound of refrigerant to top it off and put it back into good working condition. [redacted] told me that my 10 year old HVAC system was in excellent condition and didn't try to upsell anything to me. He was professional, honest and competent. It was refreshing to experience such a honest and competent service from a contractor. Jungle Cat will be the company I use again when I need HVAC service in the future.
