Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] On 7/18/14, we contacted [redacted] inquiring about a chocolate lab puppy Through e-mail correspondence, it was determined we would pay a $deposit for second choice on a chocolate lab male which was expected to be born in early September In the last e-mail correspondence, [redacted] stated she would be in contact with us when the puppies were born On 9/24/ and 10/2/14, we still had not heard anything from [redacted] and another e-mail was sentOn 10/15/14, we still had heard nothing from [redacted] so we attempted to call her and did leave a voicemail message As of 10/28/14, we had heard absolutely nothing from *** On 10/28/14, a certified letter (I have attached this document)was mailed to [redacted] demanding our deposit be refunded to us by 11/12/or we would be forced to take further action [redacted] did receive the certified letter as we received the signed receipt We still have heard absolutely nothing from [redacted] or [redacted] ’s Kennel regarding a puppy or our deposit I have attached the first couple of emails (this is not all the emails prior to our deposit being put down)that clearly have our contact info I have also found on an other puppies for sale on breederclub.netshe was advertising to sell at chocolate lab born Oct 30, from her litter So all in all here, she has had our contact informationShe is not telling the truth Regards, [redacted]

Yes, deposits are non refundableIt states it clearly on my website as well as on the purchase agreementI am not sure where they are seeing what they state they are seeing since it is not on my website unless they are looking at an old pageBut I did refund the deposit even though I had a puppy out of a different litter available for them

I have been in contact with [redacted] about their dog *** I am aware of the surgery they have had done All I need from [redacted] to resolve this is a statement from her vet in writing that the luxating patella is definitely NOT due to an injury and is definitely inherited The information from her vet stated on the report on June 27, that she "more than likely has a congenital malformation of sulcus, necessitating surgery" I have tried to explain the difference to [redacted] between congenital and hereditary Congenital is present and existing from the time of birth Hereditary is the transmission of genetic traits from parents to offspring The hereditary material is DNA in the ovum and sperm, so the offspring's heredity is determined at the moment of conception She did have her vet send another copy of the Patellar Luxation information from OFA's website There is too much information to type all of it but in one section it states, "It can be present at birth or from trauma to the knee joint or ligaments in the knee This disease can be inherited, and therefore serious consideration should be taken before breeding a dog with luxating patellas." In another section it states, "In older patients, signs may develop rapidly and may be associated with injury or strenuous activity It is possible to have a luxating patella on both legs This is most commonly seen in dogs that inherited the disease." I understand [redacted] is not an older dog But she does have the luxating patella in one leg, not both I have spoken to Dr [redacted] at OFA and he said although it is often times a hereditary issue you cannot rule out injury That is why I ask that [redacted] have her vet verify in writing that it definitely is not an injury and is definitely hereditary in nature My guarantee covers issues that are hereditary in nature [redacted] herself has stated that it is but I have not yet received anything from her vet stating so If it is indeed hereditary I would be willing to split the cost of the surgery as she has asked, even though my guarantee states I do not cover any vet bills for any reason what so ever If she can provide this to me we could have this all resolved

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below When we purchased this puppy, Jurgerson’s Kennel provided a Health Warranty that included the following provisions: 1) A warranty against all life altering genetic disease is provided for one year after the date of birth Should a genetic disease be discovered during this time that will greatly shorten the life of, or greatly alter the quality of life of the dog, Jurgerson’s Kennel will provide the buyer with a puppy of the same value 2) Additionally this guarantee covers any severe and/or life threatening seizure disorders Our puppy had her first Grand Mal seizure at months We immediately took her into our veterinarian The veterinarian said that the seizure timing was consistent with the onset of seizures in dogs that are epileptic At this time (note this is prior to year of age) we tried contacting Jurgerson’s Kennel I phoned repeatedly and my wife emailed repeatedly To date, Jurgerson’s Kennel has not returned one phone call Over the next ½ months, our dog had more Grand Mal seizures progressively increasing in duration where the final seizures were over minutes each We have continued to take her into the veterinarian Tests were run to confirm there were no abnormalities in the dog’s blood-work that would indicate a virus, diabetes, etc These tests all came back negative Since the puppy has had seizures over an extended period of time yet otherwise appears perfectly healthy, the diagnosis remains the same: based on physical exam, signalment, history and laboratory results, [redacted] is presumed to be epileptic Regarding the following assertion by Jurgerson’s Kennel: there are many causes of seizures such as trauma, toxicity, infectious disease, brain injury, encephalitis, heat stroke, brand abscess, tumor, heat stroke, poisoning, low blood sugar, or blood calcium These have all been ruled out one way or the other My wife had cancer all of last year My wife never slept anywhere except our house The puppy never slept anywhere except our house From one year of age, the puppy ate all the same food and did all the same things our year old lab did The puppy was NEVER dropped, mistreated, or injured The puppy stayed in a kennel whenever we were gone and still sleeps in her kennel every night She has never showed any sign of sickness other than the Grand Mal seizures One of the most frustrating parts of this entire experience is the lack of professionalism shown by Jurgerson’s Kennel We have reached out to Jurgerson’s Kennel many times for a dialog and have yet to have it We don’t want to give up our dog as the entire family is attached to her at this point! The Jurgerson’s Kennel guarantee clearly covers seizure disorders, but they have been unwilling to talk to us about a proper resolution Interestingly, when we sent an email inquiring about a new puppy, we received a reply within minutes! Regards, [redacted]

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted] I received my refund, so I am satisfied However, it does state on their website that if you do not receive a pup of the sex or color you want, a refund will be given I was not offered another pup until three weeks after I learned the litter from [redacted] had died I do not know what pup she offered to me, because there were no pups of the color or sex I asked for on her updated website I was not about to receive any pup that I knew nothing about I was very specific when I sent my deposit that I wanted a female chocolate lab from ***I only hope that her communiction skills as a business woman improves so other people do not have to experience what I have

I purchased a male labrador from ***'s Kennel years agoI had a few small but important discrepancies I had with Ms*** one being that she did not have the dew claws removed and two there was a small black spot behind my pup's ear which indicates an incomplete dominance Now I have a very significant health issue that she as well as all those who have purchased dogs from her should know My dog was diagnosed with epilepsy and has seizuresThis is a hereditary condition and so it was bred into my dogI did not get my dog to breed or show himI paid $for love and companionship and now each day is a worry in regards to his seizures I feel this is something that the breeder should be aware of

I did mail the papers for the puppy and she should have received them by now. I record the information on my records incase something like this happens so the puppy would be able to be registered online and that information is below

DO NOT BUY! A word of caution to any potential buyer do not waste your time or money*** is very unprofessional and does not comply with her guaranteeWe purchased a pup from her in December of and learned he was born with congenital liver diseaseWe reached out to her numerous times via e-mail and phone and recieved minimal or no responseWe spent thousands of dollars in vet/ specialist bills as well as medication and special Liver Diet foodWe tried to keep her updated oftenShe was completely un sympathetic and refused to obtain the necessary information from the vet regarding his liverThis December our pup lost his battle with liver disease and his liver failed and passed awayThe poor guy was only months old! *** is an irresponsible breeder and only in it for the money and not to better the breedShe failed to comply with her purchase agreement which clearly guarantees pups born with a congenital defectNot only that, but she is breeding the same dogs again! A responsible breeder would not breed the same dogs known to produce a pup with liver disease

My husband and I bought a GSP puppy from Jurgenson Kennels back in 8/ Lisa was very good about answering emails about the payment and puppy pick up promptly The whole experience of getting our dog was pleasant, it wasn't until after we received the dog that it became unpleasant When he was months old, we noticed bald spots appearing on his neck We took him into the vet and they determined he had allergies, but didn't know what kind After thousands of dollars in vet bills, medications, tests, and foods, it was determined that he is allergic to pretty much everything he could be, including humans Throughout this year long process we contacted Lisa twice, just asking, if she could please shed some light on the situation, just so we could save ourselves time and money, and also spare our dog the pain of going through all of this I am very disappointed that we have to continue to spend a fortune on medications for our dog just to remain comfortable He is an amazing dog, wouldn't trade him for the world, just wish I was warned about it, or saved some time figuring it out

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
On 7/18/14, we contacted *** *** inquiring about a chocolate lab puppy. Through e-mail correspondence, it was determined we would pay a $deposit for second choice on a chocolate lab male which was expected to be born in early September 2014. In the last e-mail correspondence, *** stated she would be in contact with us when the puppies were born. On 9/24/14 and 10/2/14, we still had not heard anything from *** and another e-mail was sent. On 10/15/14, we still had heard nothing from *** so we attempted to call her and did leave a voicemail message. As of 10/28/14, we had heard absolutely nothing from ***
On 10/28/14, a certified letter (I have attached this document)was mailed to *** demanding our deposit be refunded to us by 11/12/or we would be forced to take further action. *** did receive the certified letter as we received the signed receipt. We still have heard absolutely nothing from *** *** or ***’s Kennel regarding a puppy or our deposit.
I have attached the first couple of emails (this is not all the emails prior to our deposit being put down)that clearly have our contact info
I have also found on an other puppies for sale on breederclub.netshe was advertising to sell at chocolate lab born Oct 30, from her litter
So all in all here, she has had our contact informationShe is not telling the truth

I put a deposit down on a german shorthaired pointer puppy in the end of julyThe litter was expected mid august and it is now mid October and I have been unable to make contact with the owner since making that depositThe puppies were to be on the way to their new homes at eight weekstheres not much more that needs to be said

Yes, deposits are non refundableIt states it clearly on my website as well as on the purchase agreementI am not sure where they are seeing what they state they are seeing since it is not on my website unless they are looking at an old pageBut I did refund the deposit even though I had a
puppy out of a different litter available for them

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
*** ***
I received my refund, so I am satisfied. However, it does state on their website that if you do not receive a pup of the sex or color you want, a refund will be given. I was not offered another pup until three weeks after I learned the litter from *** had died. I do not know what pup she offered to me, because there were no pups of the color or sex I asked for on her updated website. I was not about to receive any pup that I knew nothing about. I was very specific when I sent my deposit that I wanted a female chocolate lab from ***. I only hope that her communiction skills as a business woman improves so other people do not have to experience what I have

I did receive the veterinary paperwork. The issue is that there is nothing confirming the condition of the dog is hereditary in nature, which is what my guarantee covers. I have spoken to two different vets, one being from the UW and they have informed me that there are many
causes of seizures such as trauma, toxicity, infectious diseases, brain injury, encephalitis, heat stroke, brand abscess or tumor, heat stroke, poisoning (some causes of poisoning can be antifreeze, lead, insecticides, caffeine, chocolate...), low blood sugar or blood calcium. I feel horrible for what the *** are going through and hope they can regulate the seizures with medication. But unless it is hereditary in nature it is not covered by the guarantee

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, however I would like to add a few thingsWe originally came to look at a different puppy, but our schedules were not right and we were unable to care for one at that timeShe told us that an upcoming litter would be the same price (800) we never said that money was an issueWe had a price in mind, but it was the owner who set the priceWe were not told it was REDUCEDWhen the litter was finally put online to look at, the price suddenly was dollars and higherI have the e-mails from her stating that it was a typo, and that because of here horrible internet that she was unable to change itWhat that says to us is that she wanted more for the puppies from other people and changed the price after the factI am only closing this complaint due to the fact that we did receive online information to register our puppy, but only after the Revdex.com got involvedHer communication with us was horribleI believe she didn't take my fiance and I seriously as buyers and unless we were giving her money, couldn't be bothered to respondIf you have an issue with your internet, GET A DIFFERENT PROVIDERIf you have issues with reception GET A DIFFERENT CARRIER All of the issues you seem to have are easily solvableI don't know how you expect to run a business like this and get positive reviewsEvery excuse she ever gave us was that it was someone or something else's faultShe takes no responsibility for anything that seems to go wrongWe were more than understanding, but at this point we are done dealing with herI will be sure to leave negative reviews for her potential customers to seeHopefully they will not have to go through the same issues that we went throughI would NEVER recommend her or her business to anyoneRegards,
*** ***

The customer originally came looking at a different puppy but decided they wanted to waitThey then placed a deposit (which I had to go outside to get in a good spot to get service since I can have service in one spot but no service three feet away) and were waiting for a future litter I was
trying to work with the customer since they said they had financial limitationsSo I told them I would work with them on the price and it would be $ The other puppies on the litter were $1,I worked with them and lowered the price to $to be nice I had responded to several emails that they claim I did notThey claim they did not receive the paperwork which I did mail I cannot control the mail system I also sent them the information they would need to register the puppy online on two different occasionsI know they received that information at least one time since they responded to it They received a beautiful puppy at a discounted price and have the information to register him online yet they still are not satisfied I do not know what else they want me to do

I am writing this letter in response to a complaint from *** *** that refers to his dog *** having seizures. I have expressed to them how sorry I am for what they and *** are going through and how much I empathize with them. I asked them many questions because there are many things that can cause seizures. The problem lies in that my purchase agreement covers seizures that are "clearly hereditary in nature" (they omitted that part of the guarantee in their previous statements to you). Hereditary means "The transmission of traits from parents to offspring. The hereditary material is DNA in the ovum and sperm, so that the offspring's heredity is determined at the moment of conception.". My guarantee covers issues that are hereditary in nature because these are things I can control by either adding or eliminating lines from our breeding program. In the letter *** *** sent me that his vet had written to him on July 14, 2014, the vet states that, "Based on physical exam, signalment, history and laboratory results, *** is PRESUMED to be epileptic. There are other causes of seizures including infection, cancer, auto immune disease and toxin exposure. Fortunately, these are much less likely in ***'s case. We would be happy to refer *** to a neurologist for evaluation and further testing such as MRI to rule out these possibilities." I have contacted two vets, one being at the UW in Madison, and they have also confirmed to me that there are many causes of seizures and that more testing would need to be done to rule out other possibilities. They have not done so (I understand it is expensive) and therefore cannot rule out these other possibilities. In another statement from their vet they state that with the first seizure they woke up to vomit containing pieces of a rubber bone they had given *** the previous day. In early June they stated she had five seizures within a few months (the first being on 2/4/and the last being on 5/19/14). July 3, one of the vet statements states that *** had not had a seizure in over a month and if I am correct has not had one since then (which I hope is the case). It is now the end of Aug 2014. This gives much hope that she may not have any more seizures. It also makes me have to question if there may have been something that was causing the seizures. In a previous email the ***’s stated they fed Purina Puppy Chow and now Purina Dog Chow and Ole Roy Puppy Treats. There are many consumer complaints about Ole Roy treats causing health problems in dogs, including head tremors and seizures. There are also many consumer complaints stating the same for Purina Puppy Chow. That is why my purchase agreement also states "The puppy is to be fed a high quality dog food which may include Loyal or Pro Plan puppy/dog food (unless a different food is agreed upon prior to the purchase of the puppy and stated in this contract). In regards to not returning voice messages, yes, we have very poor phone reception. Also, I only communicate in writing when there is a complaint so that I do have everything documented. That is for the protection of both myself and the puppy owners. I receive a lot of email (including a lot of junk and spam) and I do sometimes miss some. When it states "puppy" in the subject line it catches my attention so I am more apt to spot it as I am scrolling through the emails. I am very busy and cannot always get to my emails on a daily basis. I have also recently sent an email to the ***'s asking when Brewester's last seizure was and if she is on any medication. They did not answer either of these questions. Most of my litters are third or fourth generation breeding, meaning I have had their parents, grandparents and great grandparents, because I know and trust the lines. They come from some of the top lines in the US. They have also broke the contract by feeding a food that was not listed and was not agreed upon. I have copied and pasted my guarantee below. If the ***'s would answer my questions about when the last seizure was and if she is on medication I would possibly reconsider my decision if she is continuing to have seizures even though they have not proven at this time that the seizures were hereditary in nature. I am in hopes that she is no longer having seizures. But they will not let me know the answer to that.
