We had some remodeling done years ago Off and on after heavy rainstorms an area of the roof would leak Our original contractor came out to ‘fix’ it but the problem continued We called KAC in late September, and Karl was here the next day to inspect the problem, explain what needed to be done, and give an estimate of price and time to complete the job He rearranged his schedule and was here days later with a full crew to get the job done Karl found the problem that the original roofer had overlooked and repaired it The job took hours longer than expected, but he honored his original price estimate We have had a few rainstorms since and there are no leaks! Roof replacement damaged my gutters in multiple spots, have had basement flooding several times Contact with owner, came on site, promised to fix, never came, attempted to contact multiple times Dumpster was left in drive way weeks after job completion When signing for my loan, they stated it was 2% interest, and received my first bill, it was 10% My insurance company is awaiting his invoice and his assessment of damage due to ice dams, he took pictures and sent them to me but did not follow up with invoice and what damage was found

Home ownership is often challenging; really it’s constantly challenging. I needed a new roof after the 2014/2015 historic winter storms we had here in Rhode Island this year. With over 106 inches of snow piled up my roof, the roof just couldn’t take it and started to buckle. There was mold and leaking everywhere up in my attic.
My insurance company ([redacted] took my money for 16 years without a claim, but recently denied my claim. They denied me saying it was a “preexisting condition and my rafters were 24” on center verses 16”. You are NOT in good hands with [redacted]
But this isn’t a story about the corruption of insurance companies; it’s a story with a happy ending. It is a story about a roofer.
Now I had to trust a company I did not know with the ripping and tearing of my whole roof and replacing it with a new roof in just one or two days. I called several roofing companies when I first noticed I needed a new roof. I had to call several because only three responded. One guy yelled at me on the phone when I asked him to come by sometime and give me an estimate. Another lied to me and said his guy had come by and measured it all up, but I was home that day and no one came by... Only two companies were responsive. KAC Construction is the roofing company I finally settled upon
KAC provided a more comprehensive estimate, and the owner was very polite. He came to my house three times before the job to answer my questions and follow up on a call with my family. [redacted] is the owner of K.A.C construction, and he was honest and polite from start to finish. Everything he said they would do, they did. KAC construction did the complete job correctly and with the best of materials in one single long day. They used Lifetime warranty architecturally shingles, rhino paper, double the ice dam, all new flashing, etc..
They did the complete job with the best of materials, workmanship and pride. All his workers were very polite to me and my family.
I am writing this letter because they deserve and earned recognition for a fine job. The price was right in the middle, the materials were very good quality, the workmanship was spot on, the crew was very polite, they cleaned up the whole yard, they did exactly what they said they were going to do.

[redacted] and KAC construction are outstanding roofing contractors. Got him off [redacted] first time, he was one of few who responded, got quote to me fast, was less than others, plus was able to do a part roof (cause I couldn't afford all yet). Then he was in and out on time, with no mess left. Used him another time, literally said 'help' on Tue. By Fri I had a quote, told him to 'go' and Saturday night the job was finished.

I called K.A.C for an estimate on having snow removal and ice dam removal from my roof. They responded quickly and were professional and did an excellent job. I would hire this company again and I would recommend them.

Our two-and-a-half story Queen Anne house built in 1910 needed a new roof. It already had three layers of shingles, with the first layer being the original wood shingles. We contacted [redacted] at KAC Construction to get one of three quotes and he promptly came over. He brought his IPAD and showed my husband and I examples of roofs KAC had replaced and used photos to explain the process involved in replacing our roof. He was very pleasant and professional, and provided clear, detailed quotes in writing via email. We considered his price to be fair. He promised to have the roof done in two days and new gutters installed soon after. The work crew arrived as expected and the first day protected our garden and yard from falling debris with a huge tarp. Clean up was continuous throughout working hours on both days. [redacted] himself used a magnetic sweeper to check our driveway for nails. He quickly dealt with problems that arose. When the supplier sent over the wrong color shingles, he was able to replace them with the correct ones and still remain on schedule. When some garden plants were accidentally trampled in the clean up process and we pointed this out, he apologized and made sure the workers were aware and took better care. The job was finished in two days as promised. The roof looks great and we detected no leaks in that big rain storm we just had. So far, so good! The gutters that were installed two days later worked perfectly directing the water away from our foundation. I would definitely recommend KAC construction for other owners of older homes who need roof replacement. It is a messy, noisy, and costly project that we all seem to put off, but [redacted] had it all under control and made the process as easy as possible.

KAC Construction replaced my old gutters at a fair and reasonable price. [redacted] promptly came to my home to provide me with an accurate quote and two days later the job was complete. [redacted]'s gutter guy, [redacted], was polite, professional, honest, and hardworking. He and his assistant worked swiftly and carefully to remove my old gutters and install the new ones. There was a section of my house where the old gutters were still good. Both [redacted] and [redacted] were honest in their assessment and did not try to sell me gutters that I did not need. [redacted], however, took it upon himself to reinforce the old section of gutters by installing additional hangers at no extra charge. The only negative thing I have to say is that they arrived at my house two hours later than they said, but all in all this was a great business to work with. I would use them again without hesitation and would recommend them without reservation.

What a wonderful company KAC is. From start to finish everything went smooth. [redacted] is the owner and he is so professional, polite and respectful. He truly knows his business inside-out!!! We were so pleased with the crew he sent out to do the job ([redacted] was the lead person). We have never seen such hard working people. We have had a lot of work done on our house over the years and we must say that we have never come across a company were a job went so smooth. AWESOME. I was in a real bind with huge ice dams due to the freezing rain and these guys were the only one who returned my phone call and showed up and did the job - a great job I might add.

I had an emergency with ice building in the gutters of my home. [redacted] and his team were the first to get back to me and arrived shortly after our call. They removed the ice and took the snow off of the roof. They were very professional and efficient.
