One of the biggest problems I face many times when dealing with any type of construction work comes down to the integrity around the time line and cost to get work done! I gave K K Design and Construction LLC a call and spoke to a lady. Right off the back she was extremely helpful in giving me a few ideas for an enclosed patio enclosure and a paint job for my property. I decided to move forward after being given a cost and a promise on when the job would be completed. The guy definitely works diligently and professionally. He always was in communication with me with what was being and done, and how the project was moving along. Thank you K K Design and Construction LLC for helping me with this and keeping my mind at peace and for doing an amazing job.

After dealing with construction companies from ***, I came across K K Design & Construction LLC. My mom was dealing with horrible construction companies that were very pushy and continuously changing the estimates. Called this construction company, spoke to rep, she came over the next day we discussed what we wanted to be done and what would be practical with our budget and timeline. She sent over the estimate within a day or two, it was clear fair and honest. They did a great job and I would definitely recommend this company!!

In one day, they put in beautiful quality walls and doors that created three more rooms in our apartment. The pricing is absolutely fair and reasonable. The team is reliable and hard working and focused and friendly. Arrived early and brought all the necessary paperwork without issue. Could not imagine a better company to get the job done. We called them to discuss the job on a Friday; K & K design and construction LLC gave us the quote immediately over the phone; the job was started and done on Monday. Their clean up after the job was fast and thorough.

OK, I'm going to write too much, but I have to tell you my experience with K K Design & Construction, specifically their lead guy was fantastic. They remodeled our kitchen beautifully and within our budget & time frame. He was very responsive and great to work with and all of the guys were professional and skilled! They transformed an outdated mess of a kitchen to a beautiful site. No hesitations in recommending them.

We had a great experience with K & K. We did a complete Kitchen Remodel and they designed the whole thing and completed my project in great time. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

We contracted with this company in November 2018 for bathroom renovations. They proved to be inaccessible once we paid our deposit. Never available for phone calls, always in "meetings." They did not have the ability to apply for building permits with the city of Boca Raton, and the city reviewer even questioned their legitimacy considering the way they filled out the permit application. They *** to us continuously as to when the application was submitted to the city, and *** to us about the material purchased on our behalf. When we cancelled the contract, in JULY 2019, after no work was done, they "returned" whatever material they said they bought for our project, and KEPT THE REFUNDED AMOUNT, even though this was our money! They also have no licensed architect or engineer to draw plans and elevations for the permit application and that had to be outsourced to another company (for $6000) who did not care about us as we were not their client, and prolonged the permit application by months. After listening to excuses over and over and intense frustration with their lack of communication, we cancelled the contract and lost over $12000. We have had many home improvement projects done by various contractors in several homes and states and never have had such a horrible experience. This is a terrible company to deal with and has been deceitful from the beginning. I only left 1 star as it is necessary to submit a review.

I am so glad Mr. that you put a review on here. This review is false and a lie. They contracted with us in November 2018 and we were told that we could not complete work or even start anything until May 2019 due to the condo completing renovations at the same time. During this waiting period we did design consults, renderings and purchased materials for the job so we would be ready for May. Mr and Mrs *** were trying to get us to complete their project without a permit which is required by state law. They told us the condo did not require one. We had them put that in writing and then they found out from there condo manager that they did indeed need one. We were backed up our office so we out sourced the drawings and plans to accommodate their schedule. We had some changes to do on the plans in order for it to be approved and as everyone knows permitting takes time. During the process they called and text us constantly even though we kept them updated in our Buildertrend application and with phone calls to let them know where their permit was in the process. They decided to cancel after permit fees were paid. Materials were purchased and we had 3 design consultation and renderings. We wrote them a check for the purchase of materials in the amount of 12k. Which they cashed. The. They wanted all the materials on top of the reimbursement for them which we cannot do. They were trying to rob our company. Once we got our attorney involved Mr. got upset. That is why he decided to put this review because he did not get his way. We did keep their original deposit since that is non refundable and we put a ton of man hours into their project already. We take pride in our customer service and our customers always come first. We have all the email, text and check stub showing cashed to rebuttal this review. We have over 50 projects and customers that are happy. This is the first time we had to go through something like this.

We apologize you were unhappy but please if you are going to give us a review at least tell the truth.

To quote your response:They wanted all the materials on top of the reimbursement for them which we cannot do. They were trying to rob our company. Once we got our attorney involved *** got upset.
If you purchased materials with our money, then returned those materials, that refund is ours by definition. You did not return those funds. You returned my second deposit because no work was done.
I did get upset with your refusal to refund my money for the materials, (which I doubt were purchased at all), but you were the one to threaten me to involve your attorney, even though I never brought up a threat of a lawsuit.
Interesting how the one positive review you have has many "amazings" throughout. ? legitimacy of that?

Mr., The second draw on your contract was at start of Material purchase. Which we gave you back that money and you cashed the check. You cannot get materials and your money back for those said materials. I truly need you to think about that for a second. We contacted our attorney because with someone trying to take advantage of our company we need to always be protected. We actually have 2 positive reviews from customers on here and we have never had an issue like this where the customer just didn't want to wait for their permits to be approved. Thank you again for your response on here. We truly appreciate you and wish you nothing but good luck on your project. We know our design was amazing for your bathrooms. Thank you.

Project began Dec 26, 2018 project STILL not completed., K&K paid in full. Work done to date is sub-par.

Was told completion End of Feb 2019 moved back into house jacuzzi installed not operational, kitchen cabinets delayed due to rain would be installed following week.
No kitchen Feb, March, April, May, June 2019.
Put into direct contact with Kanani holding kitchen, Said holding kitchen hostage for non payment and was going to sell on eBay for $10,00 but didn't want that Karma. Asked K&K to pay and sue later they said NO. I paid made agreement for Basil from K& K to install, it was agreed. Was told 7/19 Basil on personal leave then found out Basil returned to work but was put on other projects. Electrical outlets plastered over, countertops installed with 2 versus 3 required slabs then re-installed with bar countertop un-leveled and unsupported and edge detail changed without approval and edge of bar countertop chipped. Jacuzzi installed against code. Truss cut, P-trap eliminated, no support. Tile around tub done incorrectly causing bathroom cabinet door to go off alignment. Paid for water intrusion found during floor removal now see water damage on new baseboards. Backsplash tile company said wall are not finished properly despite K&K having two workers prep it, have videos and estimate to prepare walls properly by private vendor, have had to hire private vendors because K&K does not send vendors expert in their trade and ALMOST EVERYTHING DONE IS INCORRECT

Desired Outcome

Need Allowance to hire vendors who can get the job done properly as K&K has been given countless opportunities to do so and failed each time and when certain subs were requested have been denied. Need refund on Sub Par work done to date and price gouging. $2500 to get kitchen out of hostage $1680 reimbursement for "leak" not repaired and maybe worse $175 grout repair due to non tiler told to do job $6610.90 remaining jacuzzi job after approved expenses $ . to prepare walls properly for backsplash

Hi Mrs.,

We would first like to go over how you have treated our employees like your personal porter service. You have had them take your groceries out of your car numerous times, clean your toilets for you and your cat litter. You have demanded that we clean your house weekly for the dust and we accommodated that request until we found out you had them cleaning everything even scrubbing your showers while they were there. We have tried to complete your project time and time again but you took over two months to pick a color for your cabinets. You have us buy all the sinks in a store and bring them to you so you can pick one and then you don't end up liking any of them. When you make accusations of our work being bad every time we had someone there working you would kick them out when you felt like it and they would have to wait days or weeks to come back and finish. You have a custom kitchen which takes time. You have us completing items that are not even on our scope of work. You hired people that are not even licensed to complete your job and want us to pay them. We have told you time and time again we will not do so. You try and set our schedule for our people. You went behind our back to try and hire our staff separately to complete work for you without our knowledge. You made a deal with the cabinet maker behind our back and was negotiating with him while we were talking to him as well. We want to get your project done more then you do but we will complete it ourselves no more special people you want us to use. You contracted with us not these "special people" we have painted your house I can't even count how many times because you didn't like the color you picked out. We didn't even charge you extra. We have done so much for free it's just not even fair anymore. We had two workers show up at your house one day and you went crying and hiding in your closet because they were black and called Us to run down to your house to help you. Even though we told you they were with us and our workers. This complaint has been added all while we still have people working in your home that you picked and we are paying for. One of our workers went to the hospital with a blood clot and you asked when he will be back on your project. This is out of hand and this complaint has been added so you can get more free stuff out of us and we will not stand for it.

We appreciate your business but you have treated us and our employees like we are your slaves and we are done. We just want to finish and move on. So please let us do our actual contracted work and delete this complaint.

In response to K&K's accusations of slander I will say that while they are quick to attack and blame their clients, as seen in their responses to the others who put one star reviews on Revdex.com, I will no longer be bullied and I one hundred percent will not accept their false statements as factual. I uploaded photos of what they actually did in my house.

The facts are the facts - cabinet color was selected 1/31/19 and I am still without a completed kitchen.

K&K was paid in full 2/22/19 however kitchen vendor was asking for K&K to pay the balance since March 25,2019.

The photo evidence shows sub-par quality, work done against code and almost all work done incorrectly, thereby my reason for requesting qualified people.

I have given K&K the chance to send more qualified people but they refused to do so while not supervising the incompetent workers they have sent.

The project is not only 8 months delayed but also poor quality and I have had to hire other professionals to repair work that K&K workers have done incorrectly. Therefore, I do not trust K&K with the completion of the project.

I would like the chance to remedy all of these issues with you. I would like to get a permit on the project in K & K name. Your licensed Plumber that you used and Electrician will need to provide us with all of their details so we can put them on the permit. We will take care of all the fees and the money to fix all the issues you have addressed. We just need to make sure that the people you had complete the work are licensed and insured. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Let me know when a good time will be to come out and address all what you have spoken about here. You will be dealing with myself and Linda moving forward.

This three (3) month project is now entering the eleventh (11) month without a completed kitchen and after giving K&K countless opportunities to resolve all the issues I ran out of patience.

I have spent the last month hiring and supervising my own workers to fix and complete my project. My licensed electrician completed his work last week and my licensed plumber completed his work months ago, so your offer to pull a permit at this late date is moot.

I have listed below the scope of work completed and in progress for your records.

The plumbing was completed months ago, by my licensed plumber, after the Jacuzzi installed by your plumber, leaked and was found with the truss cut , P-Trap eliminated and no tub support (all photos and documentation submitted). K&K has already reimbursed me for the allocated amount for me to use my plumber versus K&K's plumber.

Proper preparation of walls for Backsplash and Backsplash installation done, Kitchen Cabinetmaker and refinisher have been hired, Fabrication of missing Kitchen cabinet doors done, mouldings, baseboards etc will be done and installed. Damaged drawers and door faces will either be repaired if possible or re-done as finish was done poorly as seen in all photos submitted to K&K and Revdex.com. Split on Countertop at center of sink due to Countertop being installed unevenly has to be addressed as does scratches and stains throughout countertop from being unprotected, Painter to fix Kitchen entry walls and touch up baseboards in Dining room (as per photos submitted) and water damage (see photos) to new baseboards from paid invoice #2481 has been completely redone and repaired by water remediation expert, refund due for work paid for and not repaired. Credit for Powder room items not done as per original scope as per countless emails and Kesi *** on site meeting August 9, 2019 still to be resolved. Break down of Master bathroom jacuzzi project line items still to be reviewed by K&K as payment of $12,297.60 less $2685.70 for the cost of the tub , less approx $500 for faucet and $4000 fee my plumber would have charged to remove decking etc and install a new Jacuzzi leaves an unexplained $5000+ that I paid and needs to be accounted for , tile install around decking does not cost $5000+ . Tile installation done incorrectly causing bathroom vanity door to be off alignment requires alteration by my cabinetmaker to fix and match to existing. Construction Clean company hired and boxes under layers of dust in garage have been accessed with attempt to locate cable box and equipment to set up Family room TV as I have been without TV service since Project commencement in December 2018 (Cable box and wires still not found, had Xfinity come out with new gateway). Newly painted Garage floor that was unprotected and scratched was authorized by Kesi *** to be re-painted upon project completion. I am including the copy of the $2500 payment made in July 2019 to your Kitchen vendor to release my kitchen from being held "hostage" as K&K refused to pay balance and I could not wait any longer for my project to be completed and yet I had paid K&K in full for the entire job February 20, 2019.

I am attaching all paid invoices to date for reimbursement to the Revdex.com server and will email to you and Robinson directly, all remaining invoices to fix and complete my project for reimbursement and I would like you to please email me with a time line of when I can receive these funds.

While I wish this was your response months ago, I am glad to see K&K taking responsibility and doing the right thing to end this on a positive note.

We are trying to do a walk through of what was left to do and get new people on her job to finish up. We don't know who completed the work or if they were even licensed and insured. They never pulled a permit for the electrical or plumbing that was done on her property and that is a huge liability for her. I have been willing to help and get it done but she does not want that.

Hi Nidia & ***,

We have no proof that any of this has been done to code via her plumber and electrician. A permit must be pulled for those items even though the time has passed. I will forward all emails and text to try and get with Miss *** to remedy. As far as the work we have completed cabinets, flooring and painting those do not require permitting. I need the license of both the plumber and electrician and the certificate of insurance for both as well. Then when they have pulled their permits and passed *** final inspections we can then pay them for completion of the work.

This is imperative. We have also paid you numerous checks already and we have not been allowed to see the work completed.

We would love to move forward but we need these items done ASAP.

Also the 3 month project that turned into 11 months is because it took you over 2 months to just pick a paint color for your walls and cabinets. You had the guys repaint your entire down stairs over 4 times. We have cleaned your house numerous times for you. You had our employees carry your groceries and bags in side for you constantly and you were also asking them to complete item's outside of our companies scope of work. We bought 4 different sinks for you and brought them to your home so you could pick one that you liked and you decided you didn't like any of them. We have been way over accommodating to you. We just need the above done so we can close out your project.

To be perfectly clear, all communication is via the Revdex.com so any attempts to reach me via text, phone or personal email since September 5, 2019 are moot.

Please refer to all previous documentation and photographs sent resulting from K&K's negligence for my entire kitchen and entire project.

If K&K was concerned about a permit for electrical and plumbing then K&K should have insisted that a permit be pulled at the commencement of the project or at a minimum after K&K did work against code - before my Licensed Electrician and Licensed Plumber were hired by me with K&K approval. K&K's Kesi *** observed work done by K&K against code on May 31, 2019 and Work repaired by my Licensed people on August 9, 2019 during on-site inspections. Refer to photos of electrical outlets in kitchen plastered over by K&K and photos of Jacuzzi installed against code by K&K's "Licensed" Plumber uploaded to Revdex.com server on September 18, 2019.

K&K's "licensed" plumber installed my new jacuzzi incorrectly which leaked. My Licensed plumber ( referred by Tubs N More where Jacuzzi was purchased by K&K) determined it was installed against code, plumber cut the Truss, eliminated the P trap and installed the tub without any support. My licensed plumber had to remove and completely re-install Jacuzzi.

My licensed plumber and licensed electrician will not share their license with K&K based on the incompetent work they found on site.

K&K admitted fault and wanted to remedy but when it came to paying is now insisting on a permit in the 11th month of the project ,which pertains only to plumbing and electrical.

Therefore, in an effort to remedy this, I am asking K&K to reimburse me for all invoices of work done that does not require a permit and let's close this *** once and for all.

We have reviewed your breakdown and K & K will not be paying for items outside of their original scope of work. Also we are now requiring you to get a permit on your project for the electrician and the plumbers work. We will not pay you anymore money back until that is done and inspections are made and passed. You had your plumber and electrician complete the work then they need to file the appropriate paperwork to the city as per law and code. Once that is done we will gladly pay the balance. We just want to wrap this up as soon as possible. Thank you.

Hi,

I question why in the original scope of work under your direction, no permit was required and 11 months later you are insisting on a permit to be pulled, when you had all this time during my project, under your supervision to complete this requirement. I made multiple attempts to work with you and your team who repeatedly ignored my calls, texts, emails and chats to fix the original issues created by your unlicensed and unqualified workers. I was put in the position to pay out of pocket for the damages created by K&K's unqualified "plumber and electrician" and yet even after the shoddy work by K&K , K&K still did not request pulling a permit nor insist on sending qualified workers to fix and complete the scope of work. It then became my issue to fix and pay for the work due to K&K's ineptitude.

Basically this "3 month" job has now been completed by me in the 12th month at my own expense. I have only asked you to be reasonable to pay for the damages created by you and your team and complete my kitchen in the scope of work, nothing more. At a time when I needed a company to help me fix my house caused by water damage and a time when I relied on K&K to make my home a home again, K&K was more interested in collecting my money, without any regard for the quality of the work.

I will consider this my last communication with K&K since K&K's "resolution" is unacceptable. Furthermore, it is clear that K&K continually misses deadlines, even set by the Revdex.com further showing the level of ineptitude by this company. I expected more but I have come to realize that K&K has not operated with any sense of urgency to complete my project and K&K's continued lack of concern to take responsibility shows me that there is no interest in ameliorating this issue.

Terrible customer service. We are existing customers with 50% of the full home remodel paid. We got stuck with them as they won't return us the initial deposit even thought they haven't done any work at that point. We wanted to give them another chance, but now they don't respond for days, emails go unanswered, phone calls sent to voicemail which is always full. There is complete disregard for our concerns and dismissal of basic questions, such as: what items are we ordering? what are the plans for this week? The reason we went with them first was because the sales rep was pleasant, made everything sound possible within the timeline we requested, and it seemed like there would be good communication. We have never seen the original sales rep who sold us the project again, he misinformed us on a number of things. What the sales rep said would be "a day or up to a week" became over a month and no word on when it would be completed. What the sales rep said would be "white glove service" is dismissal of your concerns, mockery of you as a "demanding" client. What the sales rep said would be "full attention" as there is "enough staff" and they are all available turned out to be "Do You think you are the only ones we have? There is a line of people before you" - from the owner. Now that we paid 50% of a major renovation and they have done about 10% of it they have stopped responding to phone calls and emails. I wish I could comment on the quality of work, but it's been over a month and barely anything has been done. They are always in meetings elsewhere or unavailable to respond due to some other urgent tasks that are not yours. If I knew this is the customer service we'd be getting we obviously wouldn't have chosen them.

None of these allegations are true. We have had to get an attorney involved with Mrs. for slander and a cease and desist letter which she received. We have proof of calls and emails and responses. She wants us to stop all of our other work and just focus on her job and also her permit has not been approved by the city yet. Which on Feb 25th she was told via email that we have no control over the city and their approval process it could take months. She wanted us to start without a permit. We explained we could do all the things that don't require a permit like painting etc. Which we did. Please remove this review. We have all the proof to send if needed. Thank you.

Great Company, They remodeled my bathroom and it came out amazing. I will definitely used them for any other projects we have. They by far have the best customer service and offer more then any other contractor we interviewed.
