ERIE will consider backdating the cancellation of this policy in the event Ms. [redacted] is willing to provide proof of replacement coverage from another insurance carrier.We believe we have provided the information to assist with your investigation into the insured’s concerns. He explained that the [redacted] had placed a '‘stop pay” on their bank account not to allowany payments to draft from their account for Erie Insurance. The [redacted] representative agreed to lift the stoppayment code, which will now allow Erie Insurance to collect the payments from the [redacted]. They were alsogoing to be calling Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] to confirm this information.[redacted] from [redacted] will reach out to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] and advise that the situation has been resolved andERIE should no longer receive “ non-sufficient fund” returns from their bank.Based on the information provided, we believe the complaint which has been registered with your office is nowresolved. complainant, [redacted].We contacted Ms. [redacted] on June 20. 2017 and she chose [redacted] to complete her vehicle repairs.[redacted] estimated the length of repair time to be 6 days and we arranged an [redacted] rental car for her onJune 20,2017 for 10 days. Ms. [redacted]’s vehicle repair was completed on June 30,2017. However she kept therental vehicle until July 102017. [redacted] advised us that they had left several phone messages for Ms.[redacted] with no response and they sent her an email on 7 3 17 informing her that her vehicle repair was completeon 6 30 17 and she needed to pick up the vehicle. We were notified on 7 5 17 by [redacted] that Ms. [redacted] askedfor a rental extension but we declined it because the vehicle repair had been completed on 6 30 17.The rental guidelines were explained to Ms. [redacted] on June 20. 2017 and she was sent several messages from thebody shop by phone and email advising her that the vehicle repair was complete without a response. Due to theholiday week, we did contact Ms. [redacted] and agreed to cover an extra three days rental.
