Kenny Thomas Olathe Toyota Reviews (25)

As I stated previously Olathe Toyota agreed to fix Mr ***s Bluetooth and would cover any additional costs above and beyond the original estimateWe did this on 11-30-and to my knowledge (I haven't been told otherwise) the Bluetooth works as per designAll of this was done based on the original estimate that was agreed to by Mr *** and required no additional expense with only exception being xm radio exchange coming out of Mr ***s pocket which Olathe Toyota refunded. As far as the CD nothing was noted on the original repair order but was later discussed verballyI did tell Mr [redacted] that the radio Remanufacturer would normally send any CD,s that were in the radio back which hasn't happened so I will be sending him a check today for to cover the CD

Sirs,Response to complaint ID [redacted] brought his Tacoma (vin# 3tmju62n15m004017) in to our Service Dept on Nov 2nd to have a ESD frame replacement safety recall performed. In this recall the entire frame is replaced as well as some other items that are part of the chassis (springs, control arms etc) Toyota is very specific about what we can replace. They give us a parts list to go along with the frameWhen we pulled vehicle in for teardown it was noted by our technician “ A/C blowing warm, vehicle has been wrecked in left front.Found Freon low when we evacuated it” (which is part of Toyotas work instructions evac of Freon). When we reassembled vehicle we did recharge A/C with Freon. At that point the A/C light flashed telling technician that Compressor needs replacement. All of this is noted on original copy of repair order. We told [redacted] about that and he declined repair.Several days later He met with GM of store and we agreed to replace the A/C compressor as well as the a/c fan clutch at a heavily discounted rate in the interest of satisfaction. In the complaint to the Revdex.com Mr [redacted] states that Toyota should have covered the cost of replacement completely. This is incorrect,Toyota covers only the Trucks frame as well as some small parts that are a necessary change when replacing a frame.Other than that the A/C compressor/clutch is covered by Toyotas year month warranty that came with the vehicle when it was new.If Mr [redacted] would like to continue to challenge that than I recommend he call Toyotas hotline 800-331-and discuss it with them directly. This truck had 128,miles on it, Toyotas warranty coverage of A/C componets ended almost 100,miles ago.I think we went above and beyond in this situation.Im sorry that it wasn’t free but it is not covered with this many miles on it [redacted] Parts and Service DirectorOlathe Toyota

I took my Toyota Tacoma into Olathe Toyota for an oil change and was told I qualified for a new frame due to a recall at no cost to myself My truck is a ran great and everything worked fine They gave me a car to drive during the repair which was appreciated and staff was friendly When I picked up my truck the air conditioner no longer worked I went back in and was told that it must just be one of those things as the air conditioner is not removed during the frame replacement and repair would cost $in parts I didn't have that kind of extra money to put into the truck and had to leave I thought about it for a few days and went back to talk to the service manager who again said it was a coincidence and those things happen He did offer me a 20% discount if I cam back within days I left and returned to talk to the owner and after several weeks had a sit down with the owners son and same service manager I felt slightly pressured and again they said those

I had my camry in for a check engine light After having it in there different times they told me I needed a new transmission for 4800$ I took it to a transmission shop to get a 2nd opinion and they looked it over and told me they could not find any evidence of the problem Olathe Toyota was stating and said that all I needed was a new solenoid switch in the transmission for 500$ This is the 2nd issue with this stealership I have had I will not be going back and you should not either

I walked in to Olathe Toyota with the intentions to look at some used vehicles and gather informationI met Brice and he showed me cars in my price range (for payments per month) and I walked away days later in a CorollaBrice was very kind and knowledgeable about everything his job entailed, and answered every question we hadHe even came in on his day off to complete our paperwork and do a final test drive! The gentleman who finished our financing paperwork was very nice, quick, and easy to work withThe sales manager was a bit pushy about some add-onsBut I would rather know about them than not have them explainedI had a fantastic experience at Olathe Toyota, and I am glad to have done business with them, and to continue to do business them as I take my car back for regular maintenanceThank you, Brice!!!!

Toyota repaired my car on several occasions and took my ## on one occasion after replacing the first engineThe puts the wrong parts in and had to replace with a second engineI have no idea what I have now but they will not address why I spend $$ for nothing

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: All recommendations that came from *** BMW is what was given to meAll hand written information on the documents are from *** BMWThe issue with the tires were a price for two tires and a price for four tires if **u really read the informationI even tried to see if my warranty company would cover the problems that *** BMW found and they even came back to say they could not cover because the issues were PREEXISTING, meaning they were before we bought the vehicleAs I stated beforeI asked Olathe To**ta (*** ***) to make sure the BMW that we bought was taken to BMW to make sure everything was ok with the vehicleAs a long time customers of Olathe To**ta we put our faith in what they were telling usAll I want from Olathe To**ta right now is to fix what should have been fixed before we bought the BMWAgain If **u need to speak with *** BMW **u do have my permission to do so, they have all the info **u may/will needMy contact is *** *** ###-###-#### and his email is ***Also if **u need to contact the warranty company about the BMW and why they could not cover the issues **u may do soASC ###-###-#### agreement number is ***.Regards,

They ran my loan application without my permission
Someone by the name of *** gave them my information, name social and birthday on a credit application They clearly see that *** and my name are totally different but they are too *** or *** to verify why both name did not match and ask question, or maybe they didn't care just to make a sale
Well they finally called me after they ran my credit and loan application, I told them that I didn't submit or approval of any applicationThey told me that they haven't submit my name to any bank
Weeks later I check my credit report and there is a hard credit inquiry from Olathe Toyota Financial, I disputed the inquiry with Equifax but they are requested a written document from Olathe Toyota stating that if was fraudulent
The general manager from Olathe Toyota was unwilling to provide the letter even though he know the whole situation, and was arguing with me that he had permission to run my credit application because

Olathe Toyota receives frequent credit applications online and in person from a buyer and co-buyer that have different last namesThis type of application would not be considered a red flagBecause we cannot truthfully tell the credit bureau that you did not authorize us to pull your credit we will not be providing a letterAs mentioned in our previous response the person or persons filling out the credit application have to agree to the terms of the application and those are: • I am at least years old and a permanent resident of the United States• I authorize this dealership to obtain a credit report in connection with our review of your credit application• I understand that this dealership may call me in connection with this application• I have reviewed this dealership's privacy policy• I have truthfully and completely provided the required information on this applicationSince an online application is not done in person at the dealership we would not have been able to verify identity as you mentionedIf you have someone that is using your information it would appear that you need to file a police report for identity theftThe credit bureaus can also place a fraud alert on your credit reportWe here at Olathe Toyota stopped the application from going any further on our end

Date: October 18, RE: Revdex.com complaint, Mr*** ***, ID ***, Response to rejection of explanation of complaint We obtained the BMW 328XI VIN *** as a trade on February 4th, The inspection report given to us, in September of 2016, by Mr*** shows hand written date of February 2nd, 2016, recommending “replace engine oil filter housing gasket (found engine oil seep)” at a cost of $line one of document, also on same document line eight recommending “replace engine oil filter housing gasket” at a cost of $Based on the document provided to us six months after Mr*** purchased the vehicle, how could BMW recommend something to us prior to us obtaining the vehicle and why would any repair facility recommend the same service on the same sheet for two different pricesTo point out another inconsistent recommendation, the document gives a recommendation for two tires and that recommendation was marked out and four tires were recommendedWhich is correct and what date were they recommended? Our records indicate that we installed two new tires and completed a four-wheel alignment as part of our reconditioningThe inspection report document provided to us in the complaint was shown to us for the first time in September of by Mr*** six months after Mr*** purchased the vehicleThere is no documentation of this inspection report in any of our recordsThe only repair completed by BMW was for the (tire pressure warning system) which was completed at or around the time of deliveryThere are no notes or comments made about any other recommendations at any time from an**ne at BMW

I took my Toyota Tacoma into Olathe Toyota for an oil change and was told I qualified for a new frame due to a recall at no cost to myself My truck is a ran great and everything worked fine They gave me a car to drive during the repair which was appreciated and staff was friendly
When I picked up my truck the air conditioner no longer worked I went back in and was told that it must just be one of those things as the air conditioner is not removed during the frame replacement and repair would cost $in parts I didn't have that kind of extra money to put into the truck and had to leave
I thought about it for a few days and went back to talk to the service manager who again said it was a coincidence and those things happen He did offer me a 20% discount if I cam back within days I left and returned to talk to the owner and after several weeks had a sit down with the owners son and same service manager I felt slightly pressured and again they said those

They would have kept the $800 and not fixed anything.

Mr [redacted] brought his 2013 Toyota 4runner in on  10-4-2017 with a complaint concerning Bluetooth connectivity with his radio. This is a difficult problem to diagnose do too multiple parts involved in this system, we decided to start with a software update so we did this at no charge to Mr [redacted]....

This is a known problem and can generally be fixed with update.Mr [redacted] returned 3 weeks later and stated he had the same problem. My technician  looked at it and determined that the radio head needed to be replaced, Mr [redacted] agreed to the price of $757.95 plus tax for a exchange unit radio head. We ordered the radio and on 11-11-2017 Mr [redacted] returned to the dealership and we replaced the Radio head and returned the defective one. A few days later Mr [redacted] called back and said that he still had the same problem, our Service writer than ordered the last component (excl wiring) in this system called a extension box. On 11-17-2017 Mr [redacted] called me and insisted on getting the original purchase money back for the Radio Head (757.95 + tax) back and that we repair the vehicle.I told him I couldn't refund the money for the radio without receiving it back which would leave him without a radio as the other one was now a core being remanufactured. I told Mr [redacted] that I would install the  extension box that I had ordered and anything else that may be necessary to fix the Bluetooth problem free of charge and refund him the difference in price as well as the $15.00 that he had to pay X/M radio to move his subscription from one Radio to another. I am very sorry for his inconvenience but this is fair to both parties. If for some odd reason the extension box doesn't fix the Bluetooth it is still our problem and we will fix the Bluetooth and Mr [redacted] will have no additional charges as we diagnosed the problem and stand behind that.If it doesn't fix the vehicle (as in this case ) any additional fees become our problem and are not passed along to customer. Mr [redacted] paid 757.95 for his Bluetooth to be repaired and he wont pay a dime more regardless of our costs incurred. And he will be refunded any difference as stated before.
