October 13, 2016   Re:  Revdex.com Complaint Mr [redacted], ID [redacted]   To whom it may concern:   In response to complaint ID [redacted] by Mr. [redacted] dated 10/10/16 the following occurred:   On March 6, 2016, Mr. [redacted] purchased the 2011 BMW 328XI...

VIN#[redacted] with 55,715 miles on it. Because of the year of the vehicle and the mileage it had, the BMW manufacturer’s warranty had expired. He brought the vehicle back in that day with the warning light for the tire pressure illuminated. Since this was a Sunday, we gave Mr. [redacted] a vehicle to drive in order for us to remedy the problem. We took the vehicle to [redacted] BMW to have the tire pressure warning light issue repaired at no cost to Mr. [redacted]. The following week, Mr. [redacted] picked up the vehicle on March 9,2016. On or around the middle of September 2016, 6 months later, Mr [redacted] did come in to the dealership and brought to the attention of [redacted], General Sales Manager of Olathe Toyota, the issues in the complaint with a document he had obtained from [redacted] BMW, recommending many things to be repaired.  Mr. [redacted] informed Mr. [redacted] that it had been more than six months since he took delivery of the pre-owned vehicle and that it had no manufacturer’s warranty left on it when he purchased it. Also, he told him that the dealership pre-owned warranty, which covers the Transmission, Axel Assembly, and Engine for 30 days or 1,000 miles after the purchase date, had also expired. Therefore, we would not be able to cover any of the repairs on the document he presented.

This was the last communication electronic communication we have had with Mr. [redacted] after he posted online reviews on YELP, Google, Dealer Rater and Yahoo. He has also spoken to [redacted] on the phone. In response to your review. We received an online credit application with a buyer and a...

co-buyer. Your information was listed as the co-buyer. When someone fills out an online credit application they have to agree to the terms and conditions before submitting. Those terms are: • I am at least 18 years old and a permanent resident of the United States. • I authorize this dealership to obtain a credit report in connection with our review of your credit application. • I understand that this dealership may call me in connection with this application. • I have reviewed this dealership's privacy policy. • I have truthfully and completely provided the required information on this application. Since an online application is not done in person at the dealership we would not have been able to verify identity as you mentioned. If you have someone that is using your information it would appear that you need to file a police report for identity theft. The credit bureaus can also place a fraud alert on your credit report. We here at Olathe Toyota stopped the application from going any further on our end.[redacted] General Sales Manager ###-###-####

Mr [redacted] brought his 2010 Camry to Olathe Toyota on May 31st with a check engine light on.We downloaded the malfunction codes which turned out to be a torque converter transmission solenoid malfunction. We cleared the codes and drove the car and told the customer if they came back on...

we would need to pull the transmission pan and check for debris and or any other damage.Mr [redacted] did call us back saying the light was back on and returned with the car a few days later. We pulled the pan (just as we had noted we would need to do) and found metal debris in the pan.At this point we suggested a new transmission.I contacted Toyota and they agreed to pay for 50% of this repair as a goodwill gesture.I am happy that Mr [redacted] took care of his Camrys problem but I stand by our Diagnoses and recommendation to replace the Transmission.Olathe Toyota has to stand behind any repair that we perform for any customer and we couldn't in good conscience overlook the metal that we discovered. If there is metal in the Pan than theres a lot of it floating around inside Mr [redacted]s transmission. These Parts are built with very tight tolerances and can and will get damaged quickly in scenarios such as this one.If you would like to see either repair order I can email them to you.

As I stated previously Olathe Toyota agreed to fix Mr [redacted]s Bluetooth and would cover any additional costs above and beyond the original estimate. We did this on 11-30-17 and to my knowledge (I haven't been told otherwise) the Bluetooth works as per design. All of this was done based on the original estimate that was agreed to by Mr [redacted] and required no additional  expense with only exception being xm radio exchange coming out of Mr [redacted]s pocket which Olathe Toyota refunded. As far as the CD nothing was noted on the original repair order but was later discussed verbally. I did tell Mr [redacted] that the radio Remanufacturer would normally send any CD,s that were in the radio back which hasn't happened so I will be sending him a check today for 25.00 to cover the CD.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Assumed Answered]
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: You are able to verify that I did not authorize you to run my credit report, because you have spoken with [redacted] the person who submitted the credit application in my name and he also told you that I did not authorize him to give you my information.  [redacted] who submitted the application already admit that he didn't have my permission to submit my information, so with that being said you know that I didn't authorize your company to run my credit.
Regards,
[redacted]
