In response to Complaint ID ***,
Both of the advertisements in question, our internet sales price and up to $5k over KBB fair market value, have disclosures stating that they cannot be combined with any other offers. We would be happy to honor
either of the offers as advertised, but they cannot be combined. Kia Store East believes based on these facts that this case should be closed
Thank You,

Met with new manager at the store. He corrected mistake that was made during my sale to my satisfactionSeemed genuinely concerned.I consider this complaint resolved

In response to complaint ID ***,
I spoke with Mr*** on Dec22, one week and two days after his purchase. Mr*** was upset over the allowance we showed him on his trade ins. We discussed the deal, and I explained that we had come to the bottom
line offer on the car that him and his wife had given to us and we accepted. ($11,261.00). Our original price that was first presented to Mr*** was $34261.00. He then presented us with two trades, a Trailblazer, and Silverado. We could not come to an agreeable number for these and Mr*** left the dealership. Our salesperson called his home before he arrived home, and spoke to his wife *** ***. We had worked the deal and came to a bottom line of $12,477. Ms*** told ***, our salesperson, that the bottom line they were looking to accomplish was $11,261.00, but she would discuss it with her husband. *** relayed that information to me and I told her that we would do their number ($11261.00), if they came back that day to get the Sorento. *** called back and spoke with Mr*** letting him know that we would do the $number. He told her that he and his wife would discuss it while they walked their dogs, and would call her back. After their discussion, he called *** and told her that the $11,would work pending his wife liking the car. Mr*** came back that evening and purchased the Sorento.
Mr*** is now frustrated over the allowance for his trade, but we applied discounts and his trades to accomplish his number. I tried to explain to Mr*** that the discounts could have been shown in trade equity or discounts, either way the bottom line would have been the same. With Mr*** frustration, I offered to allow him and his wife out of the deal and to take their trades back. It had been over a week, so we had spent money reconditioning the trades. I let Mr*** know that all he would have to do is pay the reconditioning cost. He was not happy with this as a resolution.
We have two signed buyers orders showing the exact same numbers, and Mr*** paid cash for the vehicle, and was well aware of the bottom line. Kia Store East feels the goodwill offer made to Mr*** nine days after his original bottom line offer was accepted, was fair and equitable. We are sorry Mr*** is unhappy, but after investigating the situation feel that we are not liable for any wrong doing and request that the complaint be closed*** ***

To whom it concerns,
In response to complaint # *** for Mr***, Kia East feels we are not liable for a value given to a used car at a dealership that we are not affiliated with. I understand that Mr. *** is frustrated with
the value, but there are many factors that come into play in valuing a car including the appraising mangers personal opinion. Mr*** mentioned that an accident that the Sorento was in was not disclosed. At Kia East we offer an autocheck on every used vehicle at the customers request. If Mr*** has not traded the Sorento at the Nissan dealership, I would love the opportunity to give him a value for his trade toward the purchase of another vehicle. At this point I feel that Kia East is in no way responsible and ask that the complaint be closed

In response to *** ***’s reply regarding the nine day time lap, I tried to bring this matter to Kia’s attention as soon as I discovered it which was three days after purchaseAfter two days of trying to contact *** ***, salesperson, the next day I talked with the managerHe was no helpMy wife was out of town with the Sorento for a week and I couldn’t get to Kia until the 9th dayAt which time I met with *** ***As stated on the contract, the original price agreed to for the Sorento was $32,not $34,as *** stated in his responseI was told my trades would be $8,for the Trailblazer and $15,for the Silverado for a total of $23,not $20,I knew the agreed price for the Sorento was $32,584, about $4,off sticker priceI didn’t have a calculator so I figured $32,minus the $2,allowances and not knowing how much the tax, title and processing fee would be I believed *** *** when she told me the balance was $11,The next lie *** stated in his response for the allowance of the trades and discounts, the discounts were offered before anything was mentioned about my tradesFor him to say he had to lower the price of my trades in order to give me the discounts that were being offering to everyone, regardless if they had a trade or not, is ludicrous*** is admitting in his own words he changed the traprice without my knowledge or consentNo honest, ethical dealership would change the figures on a contract without discussing it first with the customerI told *** to give me back my Trailblazer and Silverado and you take the Sorento back***’s next lie was when he said it would cost me over $4,because extensive repairs had been made on my tradesIn I was ASE certified and I know what repairs my vehicles did and did not needAs I was leaving I saw my vehicles behind the service centerI still had a set of keys so I looked at themThe repairs *** stated were not doneAnother lie *** stated in his response was that my wife said we were looking to accomplish $11,for the differenceShe was unaware of anything other than the $23,I wanted for my trades

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
When I attempted to make a trade at the KIA store I was only offered the same amount I was given by the Nissan dealership where I traded the vehicle; so, they clearly did not see the value of the vehicle as being any higher.  Due to the dishonesty of this business, I would not consider purchasing another vehicle from them now or at any time in the future.  Had I read the many negative reviews of the dealership prior to my purchase I would never have bought the first car.  An accident should be disclosed regardless of whether the customer asks or not as it negatively impacts the future value of the vehicle.  Nothing I was told about the vehicle prior to purchasing it was correct; I was told that it was in excellent condition, it was a leased vehicle that had just been brought back and that I was receiving a great deal at the purchase price of $18,750.00.  Only nine months later the value of the vehicle had dropped over $4,000.00 which speaks to the negative impact the accident had on its value.  Because of this vehicle I lost over $4,000.00 which was paid down toward the purchase price.  I apologize, but the offer made by this business is unacceptable.

[redacted]

I have reviewed the sales file for the customer that has registered a complaint.  This vehicle was sold AS-IS, it was disclosed as such on every document starting from the initial offer and negotiation.  AS-IS vehicles are stated as such, with only a minimum Safety Inspection such as Stop,...

Start, Shift and Steer.  When a vehicle is sold AS-IS, the customer is required to initial multiple disclosure 'AS-IS' Stamps over and beyond the normal signature requirements in consummating a deal.  All documentation can be provided if necessary.   Customer's purchase date was May 13th, 2017.  We have no documented complaint from the customer other than the complaint filed with the Revdex.com in October 2017, five months after the initial purchase. I have left voicemail with customer letting them know that I am open to a discussion and review of their purchase. Regards, [redacted]General Manager[redacted]

I have no problem only using one offer but I do not want them to jack up the price of the car just because they are honoring their offer of 5k over Kelly blue book value, which is what they were doing.
