The HVAC technician wrote on the service invoice that the customer was to call back if adding the scoop to the duct in order to direct more airflow to the bedroom did not resolve the issue. [redacted] has not heard from the customer as of today. The customer should call [redacted] at 317-787-[redacted].The electrician contacted the customer and found that use of CFL bulbs was causing a slight delay. The electrician had the customer replace the CFL bulbs with standard fluorescent bulbs to resolve the issue. Westport Homes does not agree to pay any portion of the cost to add a blower to the electric fireplace, but the customer may contact [redacted] at 317-849[redacted] to discuss options. We will ask the landscaper to replace the tree one time as a courtesy. This is not covered under warranty, but we would like to at least make an attempt to satisfy the customer.

Westport Homes offered to replace sections (from control joint to control joint) of the driveway with animal prints on them and repair the chip in the patio. We explained that if the chip in the patio could not be repaired, or if the repair failed, we would replace the patio within one year of the...

attempted repair. Westport Homes would repair any damage to the lawn as a result of these repairs. The homeowner requested a monetary settlement from Westport Homes in lieu of repairs, which was denied. The homeowner has been in contact with multiple parties regarding the proposed repair and does not feel he would be satisfied with the end result. On July 9, 2015, the homeowner declined via email to having the repairs made. It was explained to the homeowner that exterior concrete is excluded from warranty under normal circumstances, and that an animal walking across the concrete before it was completely dry was out of our control. The sections of driveway would have been replaced as a courtesy. A copy of the homeowner's signed Warranty Exclusion is attached.

The advertised incentive, although not intended, was still advertised with no term or limitation for section 1 only. This incentive was the deciding factor for us to decide to build with Westport Homes.

from Westport Homes.  I had only asked
for the items that were included the purchase of my home.  I thought I was getting a fireplace that
provided heat and a healthy tree for my front yard.
I would like my complaint to be posted on your
site so that other home buyers are aware of the possible issues/concerns. This
information will allow new home buyers the opportunity to take the appropriate
actions to ensure that they’re getting a fireplace that will provide heat to
warm the room and a tree that’s healthy.
