KONA Leashes

I have a had a great experience with Kona leashes! From there user friendly website, quality of there products, to the friendly customer service! I love that they donate to shelters and that the products are made in the USA. I look forward to purchasing more and recommending them to my friends and family.

I purchased two leashes from the company for my two small dogs a little over a year ago. The other night the carabiner came totally undone on my walk and slipped off her harness. Luckily I was able to grab her right away. The twist part that locks in place no longer stays in place and does not stay closed. I tried to contact the company because they have a lifetime warranty and have heard nothing in return. I really liked the leash but the fact that they have ignored my email shows me that this company cannot be trusted. I was willing to give them another try but being ignored when my dog could have been injured is not okay.

I recently was contacted by a KONAleashes rep on instagram. From the very beginning of the process the KONAleashes team has been very helpful and kind. I received my order about 6 days after the order was placed and I am in love with my rope leash and collar! I am even more excited about their donation aspect, I love that this company gives back! I will never use any other leash or collar.

Love these leashes! The leash has a carabiner attachment which is more sturdy than a regular leash clip. The colors of the leashes are vibrant and the leashes are light weight and comfy to grip. Would definitely recommend trying out their products.

We got a Kona leash for our four month old golden retriever puppy and we love it. It’s very strong and durable as it is a handmade rope leash, and it makes walking our puppy much easier. He is easier to control with it and doesn’t pull as much. We’ve also received a lot of compliments on the look of the leash (we got the American colored one, the shorter length). Overall we love the leash and are happy to support a company that gives back to other dogs!

I love the kona leashes! I have a very skittish border collie and her leash with the carabiner clip gives me extra peach of mind about her security. They also come in awesome colors and the brand supports local shelters! Awesome company, awesome leashes, and awesome customer service!

Like many others, my dog Apex was approached on Instagram from many Kona Leash reps asking for us to send them photos of our dog and purchase a leash PROMISING my dog would be featured on their instagram page. In there email it states 'No worries, it only takes a few days once we recieve your dog model photos? to be featured on their page. We bought a leash, posted a picture back in January 2018 and still, to this day, April 23rd 2018, they still refuse to post his picture... I have emailed them multiple times on the issue and they keep saying 'thank you for your patience', 'can you send us your picture so we can share'....and they STILL HAVEN'T posted it! As a customer, If you tell me your are going to do something, I expect you to do it. Weeks later they still have not answered back to my emails. I was approached by this company to purchase their product, with a gaurentee that my dog would be featured. That is all we ever wanted. Somehow we have managed to be disrespected multiple times, ignored, and basically a hand to the face like we don't matter and I refuse to not have my voice heard. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG. They say whatever they can for you to buy a $50 OVERRATED leash for your dog to help themselves out. The sy thing about it is, they'll keep posting pictures of other dogs just recently taken a day or two ago, but still could give a *** less about what you personally had to go through to try and get your picture posted. I refuse to purchase anything from this company, they are overrated, disrespectful, ignorant,*** if you ask me. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Take it from the girl who has been emailing for months trying to have her dogs photo featured thinking they care about others animals as much as you do.

This company reached out to me first, sharing their interest in my pet and wanting her to be a "model" for their leashes/collars. I placed an order, everything went great. I placed a second order that was canceled the same day. I have been told through several emails now that I would be refunded and they still haven't done anything. This was almost a month ago. I have officially disputed the charge with my bank and will NEVER order from this company again. I feel like through these multiple emails, the guy was just lying to me and hoping I would forget about it. The last email he sent claims to be the receipt of the refund but it doesn't even look legitimate. It looks like he just typed some random numbers and letters then typed "refund".

As is the same story with most people who do business with this company, I was approached several times by several Kona Leashes reps with promises to be featured. I was skeptical, but sort of wanted a rope leash anyway so I figured why not. Sure enough, I dutifully posted photos of my dog in the leash (which was not as nice as I had hoped anyway - it came with a laughably oversized carabiner for the size of my leash and my dog and it actually clashed in color with the pink rope that the leash was made of). The photo was never shared. Kona Leashes is predatory. When people call them out on it, they come up with ridiculous excuses like the ones you see below: "you must have just missed the post" or "we have no record of you buying a leash from us" or "you must have bought from an imposter". Now that I'm more experienced in the instagram dog world I've learned that this company is a running joke in the instagram dog community. It's a shame that they continue to take advantage of people that I hoping to make their dog instafamous.

I was contacted multiple times via instagram comments and direct messages to have my dog be a brand ambassador/model for Kona Leashes. They explained that I would get a 30% discount and then in turn, my dog would be featured on their instagram page once I posted a photo of my dog wearing the leash. I posted multiple pictures and it was never shared or featured. When I asked the brand reps who had asked me if I wanted to participate in their program why he wasn’t featured, I was ignored. I emailed the CEO who had initially given me the code and explained the process, and he also ignored the question. Overall, not very ethical and left an extremely bad taste in my mouth.

I had the best experience with Kona Leashes. They were extremely professional throughout the whole ordeal and my leash and collar combo looks great on my pup!!!!
