We are in receipt of Ms***’s complaint and would like to point out some very pertinent information about this case.Ms*** came to our office on January 11th and joined our services, because she was interested in finding a companionShe appeared to be excited about becoming a client
Ms*** then contacted us via e-mail on January 17th, requesting to cancel the agreementWe responded to her e-mail and also spoke with her on the phoneWe reminded her that Saturday is considered a business dayTherefore, although Monday was a holiday, her 3rd day to cancel would have been Saturday, January 14thAs you can see, if Ms*** requested to cancel on Tuesday, January 17th, she was past her 3-day right of rescissionPlease note that Ms***’s agreement shows that the only time a refund is possible is within the client’s 3-day right of rescission (paragraph #in agreement)Ms*** refers to the Attorney General’s website regarding cancellationOn this website, it also explains that business days are from Monday through Saturday.We would like nothing more than the opportunity to assist Ms*** in reaching her goal of finding someone specialWe hope she has a change of heart and gives her program a chanceWe are here for her.Thank you,Ohio Singles

I did go on referrals and the first one was correctly depicted, the second referral I was not informed enough to make informed decision, as the business had not mentioned all the details about the gentleman, I would have saved the gentleman and myself sometime if I had known all the informationI just would like to know all the information prior so I can make informed decision and also referring matches different from my preference, is not helpfulI went to them so they can help me find someone as promised in the initial meeting with my preferencesI did not have to spend thousands of dollars for a personalized service if they have to deviate from my choices

I did speak with [redacted] at Ohio Singles. First she told me that my package did not include the resell option and that was only available at a higher price point. I asked her to check my contract, as it was negotiated and handwritten into my contract. After [redacted] checked my contract she stated that was out of the norm and she wasn't sure why I was offered that option, even though [redacted] is the one who sold me the package. Clearly [redacted] did not remember speaking to me or offering me the resell option. [redacted] then stated she explains all the packages in the same manner and that it was explained that the resell option was to other singles. I asked [redacted] if that is written anywhere in the materials she presented to me and she stated no.
I maintain my original position that the option was not clearly explained and the I was misled on this resell option. Of course I am disappointed that I was not presented with any matches; I signed up for the service with the hope they would help me in my search. I have entered into a relationship, which is the reason I am no longer interested in their services and would only like to act on the benefit that was presented to me. I am not trying to get out of my contract because of this relationship; I am trying to use the feature that was sold to me.

To Whom It May Concern,We are in receipt of Mr. [redacted]’s complaint and will address his claims.We have been working very hard on behalf of Mr. [redacted] since he became a client with us. Please note that Mr. [redacted] has been matched with women who all showed to be most mutually compatible with...

him, according to their profile information and the compatibility indicators in their profile.Mr. [redacted] has received 4 matches thus far. Each woman was compatible and met his preferences. Only one woman we presented was 1 year older than him and 2 inches shorter than his minimum preference. We would like to mention that we explain to our clients various important details when they become a client in our program. We provide our clients with a Regulations pamphlet. In these Regulations, there is an important paragraph titled, “Referrals”. It is explained that we are matching our clients with those who are likely most mutually compatible and we use our best judgment when providing referrals. We try to come as close as possible to what our clients are looking for. We explain to our clients that we use their preferences as a guideline for matching, but not all criteria will match 100% of the stated preferences. If we find a match for someone, but they are 1 year older or 2 inches shorter, we will still present the match to the client, as we want to give them every possible opportunity to find someone special. Sometimes we think we may have an idea of our ideal match, but those feelings can change if we meet someone who has other characteristics we find appealing. Especially if a couple is attracted to one another and finds various commonalities (and they are compatible), the relationship can definitely work. We have been responsible for helping MANY individuals find a companion and we want to assist Mr. [redacted] as well.At the completion of each client’s program, we conduct a managerial review. This is when management sits down, discusses the client’s experience and determines if any matches should be “bonused back”, depending on the situation. This means the client will receive additional matches at no additional charge. If Mr. [redacted] reached the end of his program and still has not found someone special, we will discuss his program and possibly provide additional referrals. We always try to do the right thing. We especially want success for all of our clients.In addition, Mr. [redacted] signed an agreement which contains a cancellation policy. This policy states that the Client must cancel in writing within their 3-day right to rescind. Mr. [redacted] is not eligible for a refund at this time. Mr. [redacted] also signed a client obligation form which states that he agrees to meet all of his purchased matches in order to give our company the full opportunity to meet his expectations of our program. He also agrees to discuss any concerns he may have directly with our staff. Mr. [redacted] sent e-mails recently requesting to cancel. We called him to discuss his e-mails. He said he no longer wants to pursue this and wants his money back. We explained and remided him that this is a process and that the most recent match we found for him fit very well with his preferences and vice versa. He said “no”, he just wants his money back. We reminded him that he signed a non-refundable agreement and we would still like to work with him. He said “no” and ended the call.We would very much like to continue working with Mr. [redacted]. However, the Regulations provided to Ms. [redacted] at the time of signing state that we are unable to predict the time frame and frequency of matches, although we will search on our clients’ behalf on a monthly basis. We focus on trying to find our clients the RIGHT types of singles and will not match them with just anyone in order to provide a match. As we said, we did find a potential match for Ms. [redacted], but ultimately determined we did not feel that it would be the best match for both clients.We are sorry that there was confusion with the explanation of the resale option, but this option entails that Ms. [redacted] can transfer her program to a friend or family member she may refer to us who is qualified. As we previously explained, the agreement which Ms. [redacted] signed states that she may cancel within her 3-day right of rescission in order to be eligible for a refund. Therefore, she is not eligible for one at this point in time.Ms. [redacted] has not yet spoken with someone on the Client Resolution Team. We hope to connect with her soon and reach a resolution.
