Review: On 12/26/13 The sales person/cleaner [redacted], arrived on time and immediatly started his sales pitch! When he finally did demo the product he only did a small section of my carpet, and not the 2 pieces of furniture that were promised. I was impressed by the product and when the demo was over, [redacted] was on the phone with his boss [redacted], trying to get me a good deal. I loose my job effective 1/31/14 due to budget cuts, so I knew that no matter what the deal, I was not going to pay for a 3000$ vacuum! He offered me $76 a month for 3 years AND told me that if this was not in our budget, to contact him and they would void the contract and return my carpet cleaner and older modeled kirby (that they were taking as a downpayment) and pick up their kirby. I agreed. After discussing it with my husband a few days later, we decided not to keep the kirby, so on 1/2/14 we called the company to tell them to come bring back our stuff and pick up theirs. I was able to talk to the supervisor ([redacted]) that was on the other end of the phone call I heard with the sales guy. He told me that it was after the 3 day cancellation policy and there was nothing he could do. I explained the situation and what his sales guy had told me about giving us 45 days to make a decision on the product (all this time when the sales guy explained this to me he was on the phone with this supervisor!) he said he would have his boss call me, which he never did. The next day I called him again and he told me his boss doesn't need to talk to me because there is nothing that they can do because the vacuum is warenteed in our name (the demo vacuum they brought us didn't have a warentee card to sign, so they said they would mail it to us, then we would have to mail it back. We have not gotten the card, so the warentee is not in our name and they are refusing to return our items a pick up the Kirby. Our items were not listed on the contract, the sales guy had a seperate sheet he recorded them on. So, in my opinion, that is stealing.Desired Settlement: We would like our contract to be voided, the Kirby picked up and our items (older model kirby and hoover carpet cleaner) returned back. Although the supervisor said our items are probably already sold to a different company, they were never their items to sell, so that is selling stolen property. I would like to be compensated for the difference if the items were indeed sold (600$) is what was offered in the "down payment"

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: On 8-25-15 at 7:30pm, we had an in home presentation. That night we bought a Kirby product after much hassle and nagging that the sales rep would "Get to go to Mexico" if he sold us the unit. We did need a new vacuum, but found out the next day that we would not be able to afford the expense. The KT Distributing Rep that came to our door took our Sanitaire Vacuum cleaner and Bissell Steamer as part of the deal to lower the price of the new Kirby Cleaner. We took the Sales contract back to KT Distributing 2 days out, where I hand delivered the contract within the 3 day cancellation period directly to [redacted], and he said he'd take care of everything. He handed me a signed form in exchange for the contract. The signed form states "Canceled out Contract 8-27-15". He said he was going to have [redacted], contact me to pick up the Kirby unit and to return our cleaners. He also said he was going to contact [redacted], who we were to finance with to get the product, a call to cancel that order.

[redacted], the KT Distributing Rep, returned to our home finally on 9-2-15 to once more convince and hassle, stating that because of us he will not get to go to Mexico. He was not pleasant after he realized that we were not going to change our mind. He swooped up the Kirby Unit and started to walk off in the front yard. I had to yell to stop so I can get some proof that I returned it. On the same signed cancellation contract given to me by his boss and [redacted], I wrote out that he did not return our vacuum or steamer yet and picked up his Kirby unit. I had him sign below the writing. Then he went on with no courtesy or professionalism- As one should thank a consumer and assure all will be handled.

Today, 9-8-15, we hear no response from [redacted] the [redacted], or anyone representing KT Distributing. So we call [redacted] ourselves to find out that it was not canceled, and they were planning to take from our bank account as agreed to before cancellation. We told their representative the situation and they noted our account. We then called our bank and had them block [redacted] as an unapproved merchant as we did cancel in time. We then proceeded to call KT distributing and could not reach a soul. We then proceeded as if we were interested in another in home presentation of their Kirby product. We received an immediate call back for scheduling. We told that rep our situation and they said that management was unavailable and would get back to us.Desired Settlement: We want our down payment of $18.75 returned to our bank account, which was suppose to be done 10 days after cancellation was received (8-27-15). We want the refund of our Sanitaire Vacuum and Bissell Steamer as promised and was to be done 10 days after cancellation as received (8-27-15) , or must be replaced with a free Kirby Vacuum and Carpet Cleaner. We want a professional notification in the mail that our cancellation was received on time- Must be signed. We want them to have [redacted] mail us a copy that the account is closed and we are canceled out as well. Finally, we would like KT Distributing, Sales Rep [redacted], and [redacted] to know that failure to comply will result in legal action by the [redacted] family. An apology letter deems appropriate.

Business

Response:

We appologize that you were not happy with the purchase of the kirby. We understand that from time to time people will change there mind about purchasing a kirby. We always try to make sure that are independent reps are curtious and on time with there clients. We have spoke with [redacted] and susan about the situation and a full refund is being dropped off along with the trade ins that were traded in. The finance co UCFS has been notified and the contract has been cancelled.

Review: I bought a Kirby vacuum from the companies sales rep. I love the vacuum but I was told in November of 2014 when I bought the vacuum that I would receive a year of free Kirby vacuum bags. I've called 7 times and left 7 messages and never get a call back. I guess I just feel that spending 2000$ on a vacuum and writing in contract that they do not care about their customers. all I want are my bags I was promised.Desired Settlement: Vacuum bags I was promised. the business is in Milwaukee so I should see them within a couple days.

Business

Response:

We made two attenpts to deliver bags but customer was not home. We have contacted customer and hand delivered the bags as of yesterday!

Review: We purchased a Kirby from their unreliable salesman, Dave, on 01/18/14. We were"promised" by the salesman and the owner, that we'd have our floor kit BEFORE February 1st, 2014. After I called him, 3 wks after the purchase date, he indicated that he'd bring the kit on Wednesday, 02/05/14. He didn't show up nor will he pick up my calls. My husband called him and he indicated that the kit is still on back order but he'd look into it and call him (my husband) right back. No call back and he won't pick up the calls coming from my husband's phone! Absolute SCAM!! I am now placing a dispute on the check and filing a complaint with the local police.Desired Settlement: I want the floor kit that I paid for! I also want an explanation as to why I wasn't called back or followed up with. Or they can take their machine back.

Business

Response:

Complaint resolved. Customer received there floor care kit and was demonstrated the floor care kit!

Review: I bought a Kriby vacuum on 1/29/2013 and the salesman did not have everything that came with the vacuum. I have called many times left messages and still havent receive the items he promised me. which are 6 vacuum bags, zipbrush, and the sander. I was able to get a hold of the salesman in summer and he also promised me 64 oz of carpet cleaner for having to wait. He told me that he would drop the items off at my house. Im still waiting.Desired Settlement: Just would like the items that are owed to me per our contract.

Business

Response:

Mr [redacted] received his supplies and is a happy customer! Thanks for your help!

Business

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: After canceling my contract for a Kirby vacuum cleaner, this company was to return my original equipment that I traded in on the price of the new Kirby. I traded in 4 vacuum cleaners and they returned only 1 and the 1 they returned was NOT my original property and was not comparable to what I traded in. I have been calling for resolution for 2 months now with no return phone call and no returned property.uDesired Settlement: Return my 4 vacuum cleaners, or return the one that was the most updated or give me a $100 gift card to replace the vacuum that they are not returning to cover the cost of the new one I have to now purchase.

Business

Response:

Customer was given a $100 gift card.

Review: In November of last year we had a Kirby Representative come to our home. He told us if we paid the Kirby off by December of 2015 that it would be same as cash and we would not pay interest on the loan. A few month ago I logged into WWW.UCFS.NET who bought the loan from KT dist (###-###-####. and I see there is 508.48 in interest on 2110.00(price for two Kirby vaccums w/tax). We called the salesrep ([redacted]) and he never returned our call. We called KT Dist where we find out that the loan was sold to USFS. USFS tells us that they had nothing to do with the inital loan. I really liked the product but I mean come on almost 1400.00 dollars with tax and interest for a vaccumm? Then dealing with someone who tells us one thing and a another thing happens?Desired Settlement: In a perfect world the interest would be wiped off the bill completely since I would have NEVER agreed to 2600+ for two vaccumms. They arent that good.

Business

Response:

The customer made her purchase nov 2014 verified the purchase with by voice recorded telephone conversation. She made her payments as scheduled. June 2015 she contacted the bank for the payoff amount and started making $300 payments on the machine. At no time was the bank or are office contacted about any type of same as cash option. Consumer is welcome to call bank and discuss the loan.

Consumer

Response:

We signed the contract on 11/4/14. So we still have over a month to pay it off. With the last payment we paid for 200.00 we owe 516.00 of which 506.48 of it is the interest. We will have it paid off by 11/4/15 which is 12 months. Please remove the interest from or Bill.________________________________________Hello-this is in response to the message sent from K.T Distr. for our complaint submitted on 8/24. We actually did call K.T Distr. On 6/5 @3:45 left a message, 6/12 @4:00 & left a message then on 6/15 @ 2:58 as well. We also called the bank prior to calling K.T Distr. Twice on 6/5 who directed us to call K.T Distr. In regards to our issue. The number we called for K.T Distr. Was ###-###-#### all 3 times and left a message. If we would have received a call back or some acknowledgement that we called about our issue the Revdex.com would not have been involved. We have our phone records indicating all the calls documenting. We also called our salesman numerous times as well to express our concerns and left messages but he didn't answer. He also promised he would give us more bags and cleaner but that was a false promise as well. We had the money initially to pay in full but once the salesman stated it would be same as cash we went with payments.

Business

Response:

The customer purchased 2 machines under 1 sales contract and did not have any same as cash option! The financed contract was verified by voice recording at UCFS and the loan was approved! We gave the customer a great deal and we have called customer to let them know we will be happy to assist with any questions regarding the equipment.
