Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
No progress was offered in the response and almost everything in the response was falseI was informed by an employee that the employee himself had backed my vehicle into another customer's vehicleThe response states that I was informed that another customer hit my vehicleI assume at this point this is an intentional lie with the hope of displacing liabilityWe are months into this situation and in the few conversations we've had, there was never a denial that it was the business employee who backed my vehicle into someone else's vehicleLet's pretend for a minute that the business owner is telling the truth: please provide the contact information for the other customer as my insurance company would like to speaker with them.
I didn't exactly say that the damage was not an issueWhat I said was that it was my wife's vehicle and I would I have to check with her to see if it was an issueThere was not previous damage on the bumperThe only previous damage to the vehicle is a relatively long scratch on the side of the carThe severity of the inflicted damage is subjectiveJust to state fact, the damage is at least marks on the back bumper, some of which removed enough paint to see the bumper under the paintAll I want is the business insurance information so that I can get my car fixed at a reputable shop of my choosing, just as would be expected in any other car accidentI'm not clear on why the business owner feels that he is not obligated to provide his insurance information to me

I apologize for the delay in payment to Mr***, the refund was sent to the financial institution instead of the customer. *** *** our Finance director is working on it and has been in contact with him to get him his refund as soon as possible

Initial Business Response /* *** ** *** */
The dealership has been in contact with the customer regarding his pre-owned *** *** *** he purchased on February 03, with XXXXX miles on itThe customer has described issues with the vehicle that are warranty type issues that
should be able to be repaired at any certified Jeep dealershipThe customer stated that he has had problems scheduling service with the Texas Jeep dealership that he has chosen to take his vehicle for service
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* *** ** *** */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have take the vehicle to certified *** dealerships over times in the last months while in *** and the problem remains unresolvedI have involved *** who is also unsure what to do other than allow a dealership to keep my vehicle for extended periods and not fully fix the vehicleOriginal problems still exist with the vehicle and Autonation had a duty to inspect the vehicle before saleWhich if they would have done, they would have at least found the dog food under the back seat when I cleaned the vehicle days after purchase
I've tried to sell and trade the vehicle, but any amount offered are so low that it amounts to paying for a luxury car over the last few months - which this vehicle falling apart is not
As the seller, Autonation's response is inadequate and does not even offer any solution, and merely places the burden to someone else
Final Consumer Response /* *** *** *** */

I'm so sorry to hear of the issues you are having with our establishments policy. We do require a one night deposit to hold a reservation, and it is 75% refundable outside of days prior to arrival, within days prior to arrival any cancellation/modification will result in the
forfeiture of the deposit. I do see we extended the change fee of 25% to change your dates, and as a one time courtesy we even kept your rates the sameThe governor did issue a "cautionary" state of emergency which is put in place so in the event that a hurricane was to head towards us, the state of emergency would then be upgraded to include a travel ban and evacuation plans. Fortunately we only experienced a rain storm, not a hurricane. I would like to address the information that you would need to cancel and rebook at current rate? This is not our policy, I do believe this to be a miscommunication, if you reached out to us and knew you would not be arriving till Saturday, we would then explain you will still be a responsible for Friday night, and we at that time could Pre register you, so you could arrive Saturday at any time and your room would be ready because your two night reservation was still in place, and your were responsible for both evenings payments

"">We have spoken to the customer and have apologized for any inconvenience and for any miscommunication on our part. We have offered a full refund for the services that we provided and the customer is satisfiedKwik Kar Lube and Tune Barker Cypress Houston, TX

I'm not a member of the Revdex.com.

Regarding the complaint by the consumer, there was a slight bit of overspray that was completely removed from the front bumper of the vehicle and at the tape line. There was also spray on the tailgate restraint cables which we offered to replace those two cables at no cost to the customer. The...

customer refused the offer. The customer also complained about the cargo lighting loom being sprayed. This is the protective loom thta actually covers the electrical wiring. We explained that this was the way that we spay the under lip of the bed rail, and has been done that way for several years and in no way affects the operation of the lighting. The lights were covered as is our normal procedure. The photos he showed us of the other sprays on the internet was a different product, procedure and appeared to be a OEM factory spray that was done at the factory and prior to cargo lighting wiring installed. The consumer concern was that if the lights were out he would be unable to replace. We assured him that this was not a problem, because it was not the electrical wires that were sprayed, it was the protective loom that covers the wires. We also indicated, if the light bulbs ever went out we would provide the labor at no charge to replace them. When the customer departed, he could no longer point out any additional areas to be cleaned other than the tailgate restraint cables. We offered to replace and he rejected our offer. The spray liner product will not permanently adhere to unprepared paint surfaces, thus the reason we were able to completely remove the overspray as requested by the customer. We also took the vehicle through a professional car wash and had the vehicle completely detailed. As far as we are concerned, we will offer no additional car wash and had the vehicle completely detailed. As far as we are concerned, we will offer no additional services other than to replace the two tailgate cables for him.Thank you,[redacted]

Hi [redacted], We apologize for not getting back to you. We were closed and on vacation for 3 weeks and we've been busy redesigning the store. [redacted] had a family member with an illness we have been trying to get caught up on things. We didn't think this matter was of dire importance and we were going to...

get to it eventually. We apologize again and we will mail your check of $39 to you immediately. [redacted]

We sold the vehicle to Mr. [redacted] for our advertised price which was $25,802 plus tax.  The breakdown on the purchase order shows the sale price of $25,303 + $499 D&H for a subtotal of $25,802 (advertised price) plus his taxes of $1,032.08.  So to reiterate the vehicle was sold for the...

advertised price including dealer handling charge plus tax only.  When we collected the total payment from several different methods we were $500 short.  We brought this to Mr [redacted]'s attention and he wanted us to just eat the difference.  We told him that these are the figures that he agreed to and that he did in fact owe the balance due of $500. At that point when he was upset our General Sales Manager [redacted] got involved and told him that if he was unhappy that we would take the vehicle back, unwind the deal and refund him all of his money.  He then paid the balance that he owed to complete his transaction. We will not be refunding him anything as he is not due anything.

Customer brought their 1999 [redacted] in for repair on Thursday, July 16 2015. She had previously been here for 1 previous repair. On May 29, 2015. At that time we informed her that there appeared to be other issues with her vehicle- probably due to either lack of maintenance or extreme...

driving issues. The new job involved replacing the lower Intake gasket. She had it either diagnosed by at least 1 other shop or self diagnosed. We informed her that we did not have a smoke machine to confirm the diagnosis, but that we would do the work she requested and that it may not fix the problem of the Tahoe running sluggishly. The vehicle was delivered to her on Friday, July 17 around 5pm.
Now, let me speak to the customers complaint she has filed. It is filled with inaccuracies, mis truths and just made up information.
1. We did not forget to install the drain plug. We did as part of the repair, change the oil as is normal procedure. The oil level was full at time of pick up and drain plug was tight and tamper seal applied. She states to oil plug caused to new gaskets to be sucked up into the motor. Such a made up comment!!
2. Stating my mechanic "admitted fault". This too is a mis truth. When the vehicle was brought back by tow, we re looked at the issue and could not readily determine the issue. I told her at that time that we would try to figure out the issue but would not be able to look at it till Monday morning due to my mechanic being off on Saturday. I (Vic L[redacted] the Owner- spoke to her).   Due to this and her comments that she needed a car or ride, I did rent her a vehicle to accommodate her with work issues till we could determine the source of the new problem. On Monday, July 20 we re looked at the Tahoe and found it to be running very rough. Not knowing what had been done by her driving it , etc, I decided to ask for a second opinion from another mechanic shop. It was taken to them on Monday afternoon.
3. On the reimbursing of the tow of $100. The customer came to me demanding reimbursing of the tow which I said "No" due to my contention that the Tahoe had other issues. I finally agreed to help because she said her mother in law paid for the tow with her Check Card and now could not pay her electric bill. Therefore I agreed to help knowing it was lost money on my part.
4. On taking it to another shop. I did take it to another shop for a second opinion. I spoke to the owner about the situation and asked for them to give me their opinion. They did the next day to find out, they had also bid on her repair and told her also that the lower intake was indeed leaking but that there were probably more issues. There bid was $250 higher than mine, hence I got to deal with this repair not knowing their opinion or the history of issues I then found out from the second shop.
5. Concerning statement from the tech at [redacted]. The customer works at this [redacted] and I know therir Lube Shop employees and management very well. My only comment to this is "Why would you do an oil change prior to repair you were looking to do 14 days before, unless you had another agenda?" "And why at that time would you ask about metal shavings in the oil?" There is no way they would remember whether there were metal shavings in the oil at time of oil change unless "you either asked" or just wanted to be silent about it! Either way, we would make a comment on the invoice at the time about such a problem and I doubt this asked for by the customer at [redacted]- hence another mis truth or made up story!
Overall, I have no intention of paying this customer anything. She is dishonest and in my opinion looking for a free ride. I am out $166 for a rent car and $100 for the tow and am considering filing this due to dishonesty and lack of integrity.

We are working with the customer that traded the vehicle in to get the proper negotiable title to the vehicle. We have recently given the [redacted] a loaner vehicle until this is completely sorted out. As we do not have a resolution yet I will keep all parties informed.
