I certainly appreciate the customer's concerns. The delay was unsatisfactory to us as well. We should have been far more responsive and aggressive in seeking manufacturer involvement. Again, the consumer is correct about events leading to this. The consumer believes that there is some ulterior motive in asking her to retrieve her vehicle. There isn't. Her vehicle has been completed for months now. That is hardly a rush to get her off the lot. The fact is simply that we need the space for other customers. The consumer is welcomed to have the mold inspection while the vehicle is on our lot. That does not inconvenience us. However, if the vehicle is not retrieved by April 17, our offer to assist with the costs of the mold inspection is withdrawn. The offer was an incentive to clear a space for us.But whether the consumer takes advantage of our offer or not, we will review any subsequent expert report she produces to determine any appropriate action.*** ***, Customer Relations Manager, La Mesa RV

[ I'm not sure why I had to pay $750.00 for dealer prep. when I had to retrieve the parts box (80) mile round trip to World Wide RV in Mesa AZ and then install all the parts after having to read all the install instructions. I waiting for a month for them to do what I paid them to do and La Mesa RV in Phoenix AZ would not even return my calls or answer my e-mails. I had to go direct to the manufacturer and they were extremely helpful. I would think that refund of the $750 or some part is the correct response I should have received from La Mesa. If La Mesa RV thinks that nothing is due for my time and effort than La Mesa RV is not a place that anyone should do business with.]

I BELIEVE MR [redacted] IS NOT CLEAR ON WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, SINCE THE SERVICE PERSON DIDNT WRITE DOWN ACCURATELY WHAT SHOULD BE DONE.  THE REPAIR WAS THE SHOWER STALL IS PULLING AWAY FROM WALL, THE HANDLE WAS NOT REPAIRED, THE LINING ON THE EDGES WERE OFF, THE BORDER MOULDING AROUND BATHROOM DOOR IS CRACKED, THE MOLDING ON SEAM ABOVE BED IS COMIMG OFF, AND LA MESA SAID THEY REQUESTED REPAIR ON THE BLACK WATER TANK, WE NEVER KNEW THAT.  WE NEED TO CLARIFY AND NOT SATISFIED UNTIL HE ACTUALLY PAY FOR REPAIRS. [redacted]

We regret that consumer believes that he is exceeding his payload and towing capacity.  He is not.  As to payload, all literature composed by his truck manufacturer indicates that his tow vehicle has a payload capacity of between 2100 lbs and 2310 lbs.  His fifth wheel has a 1690 lbs...

hitch weight, add the hitch itself, 200 lbs, and he is at 1890.  1890 lbs is well below the limit of 2100 lbs to 2310 lbs.  If a consumer overloads the front of the towable with "various gear" then yes, the payload limit can be exceeded.  The manufacturer clearly recommends that consumers stow gear in a manner best configured for towing.  In this case, consumer need only move any excess gear to storage compartments in the rear of the towable.  As to the towing capacity, his vehicle has a towing capacity of 10,900 lbs.  His towable has a dry weight of 7700 lbs  Again, he is well below the limit.  But these are all configurations he would have confirmed himself and was provided ample opportunity to do so.Moreover, this is consumer's third towable purchase. He is an experienced consumer in the field of towing and towing configurations.  Additionally, because there are so many variables and variations to achieve safe towing, many of which are simply beyond La Mesa RV's ability to police or control, consumers are presented with, must agree to and sign to acknowledge that agreement a towing document which clearly states that they are personally responsible for ascertaining and knowing the accurate capacities of their tow vehicle and its towable capability vis-a-vis their purchase and that they are not relying on La Mesa RV's interpretations of those capacities.Consumer was offered a goodwill gesture to assist him with any other solution he thought viable.  That offer remains open to consumer.Thank you.[redacted]Corporate and Customer Relations ManagerLa Mesa RV Center Inc.

The issue in this case is the cost of repairing the carburetor in the generator.  In this instance, per the consumer's retelling, there was an extended period wherein the generator was not used.  What happens is that fuel coagulates in the small orifices of the carburetor and prevents the...

generator from properly burning the fuel.  This is a well documented maintenance issue common to all generators.  The manufacturer's owner's manual instruct consumer on properly maintaining the generator to prevent this very occurrence.As to the contention that the vehicle may have manufacturing defects, this is a matter better addressed to the manufacturer under the warranty provisions, if any are still in effect.We regret that the consumer has to expend money to make a repair occasioned by the lack of maintenance but there is nothing more we can do.  We did in error, write on the repair order, "need to replace generator" but that was an omission error, it should read, "need to replace carburetor in generator."Thank you.[redacted], [redacted]

As of this writing, the manufacturer has agreed to provide the requisite system to ensure that consumer's levelers function with the remote control.  All other systems, so included, have been addressed.Thank you for bringing this to our attention.[redacted], La Mesa RV Center Inc.
