La Rosa Del Monte Express (Bridgeport) Reviews (23)

Review: On August 29th 2015 I solicited the services of Rosa del Monte to transfer my car from state to state ([redacted], Connecticut to [redacted]). After reviewing the contract and establishing an arrival date (September 9th or 10th of 2015) I voluntarily agreed to these conditions. My car did not get to its final destination as previous negotiated and Rosa del Monte associates continued to change the arrival date to the final destination on more than four occasions. They provided vague answers and placed me on hold for periods of 20 to 30 minutes. After hassling with the employees I asked to speak with the manager. Mr. Raul also provided vague answers and could not refer to me were my car was or when I could receive it. He continue insinuating that I would receive my car soon and that I should hold and wait. He made me seem unreasonable after two week delay and I overheard one of his employees say "tell him it takes one month for the car to get there". After many calls and hours of waiting I have not received any calls from the truck drivers and Rosa del Monte associates have not given me any information about my car. They make repeated promises that they will call back and never do and provide very vague answers and do not find answers to any of the costumers questions.Desired Settlement: I wish to receive $400 dollars adjustment to my original bill of $1,085.

Review: They came to my house in [redacted], CT to pack a few things for me. My daughter and I packed a least 65 boxes. They are billing me for 80 boxes. The packing slip was written in Spanish and not English. I do not speak Spanish so didn’t know what I was being charged for. Plus they spelled my name wrong on the slip. They came on April 2 and brought my belongings to their storage their facility. My daughter and I wanted them to put my belongings in a storage unit at [redacted] storage. They said No we can store it. However, they did not tell me their storage units cost $291 a month. If I had a [redacted] Storgae Unit it would only cost me $120 a month instead. On May 1st I called them and told them to keep my belongings in [redacted]. They said no problem. I spoke to 3 people that day to advised them we didn’t have an address to ship the items to. I spoke to Victor the head man, the billing clerk and the scheduler for the deliveries. The next time I called was on June 1st. On June 1st they (the movers)said they no longer had my belongings and they were shipped to [redacted]. I asked to speak to Victor since he was the one I was dealing with, but I was told I had to speak to Pedro instead. I wanted to speak to Victor and Pedro said he was out on the road. I asked when he will be back, than Pedro said he was out on medical leave. I ask which one is it? I told Pedro he had just lied to me and he didn’t like it that I caught him in a lie. He told me it was my fault my belongings were sent to [redacted]. I told him NO, because I called and told them I didn’t have an address to send it too. To keep the things in [redacted], CT. Pedro said I had to call [redacted] office and speak to them. My daughter called the [redacted] office and was told [redacted] would have to send [redacted] an email telling to bring it back to CT. I called [redacted], CT location again and Leanora finally came on the phone after been on hold. I ask to speak to Victor and was informed that he had a stroke and was not sure when he will be back. Leanora said that Pedro was out of the office and he will return my call when he gets back. I have yet to get a call from Pedro regarding this matter. They wanted to charge me $2,000 for shipping my stuff to [redacted]. Now they want to charge me another $2,000 to bring it back to CT. After all it was their mistake to send it to [redacted] in the first place. I am now being charge for storage fee.Desired Settlement: I want my belongings sent back to CT and ship to me in [redacted]. I never told the [redacted], CT to send my items anywhere until I was informed them of my new address.

Review: I went to La Rosa Del Monte to help assist me with my relocation for a [redacted] position from [redacted], CT to [redacted], **. When I arrived at La Rosa Del Monte they initially informed me that the delivery time would be 2 weeks. Upon this agreement, I put $700 down ahead of time for my move. I went out of the country for a [redacted] mission trip to [redacted]; upon my arrival, I was told that I had to pay cash ($1126) for the move to prevent extra costs upon delivery in [redacted]. I went to the office in [redacted], CT and paid off my balance in cash -- at this time, I inquired about the current timeline as they had picked up my belongings. I was told that it would still be 2 weeks, and if needed at the most three weeks. I moved to [redacted] not that long ago and I have still NOT received my belongings, it is going on a month. I contacted the [redacted], CT and [redacted], ** offices repeatedly to ask for an update on where my belongings are and each time I was told that they had no way of updating me or contacting the driver to find out the location of my belongings (they also said they didn't know what container it was in). This caused extreme anxiety and unneeded stress. Finally, I contacted them and asked to speak to a manager about my complaint -- when I did this they finally told me that it would be yet another week and that the delivery was STILL delayed; even though a day prior they said it should be delivered by the end of the week. They did not provide me with any further details on the matter, despite my constant communication. The manager of the [redacted] location was informed and I was told by a representative on 11/4 that I would get a phone call to discuss my ongoing issue with the manager. I have not received a phone call nor an update on my materials; just simply, that it would be another week and they "don't know when my things will be released to me for delivery." What customer wants to hear this? Especially in a cross country move when they took ALL of my belongings? I am due to start a job (as my fiance is) and I have none of my materials, as my fiance does not either. This is completely ridiculous and absolutely absurd. The WORST service I've ever had!!!Desired Settlement: I have no belongings at my property and I have had to come out of pocket with approximately $650 to cover household expenses, clothing, food, essential products, etc. because my belongings have not been delivered. I am extremely upset as I paid over $1,800 to have my belongings moved by this company.

I expect FULL compensation not only for the cost of my move but for the unnecessary funds that were spent as a result of their lack of communication, false timeline, rude approach to customer service, and my belongings not being delivered as of yet. Also, I expect that my belongings will be immediately delivered to me at my new address.
