RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. My offers in the complaint were return: the Panasonic Plasma TV Model [redacted] in repairable condition with no more than one failed module and full refund of $350.00. Alternative is: meet contract and return repaired TV along with surge protector and honor contract warranty. Before filing this complaint with the BBB, Mr. [redacted] called me and said that he could go no further with the repair because he believed that the failure was in the glass plasma screen which cannot be repaired. I believe this call indicated that he was stopping repair work. Instead of a full refund, he offered the same settlement as proposed in his response to the BBB, $200. I reluctantly agreed in order to close out this unfortunate episode. He then asked if we would like the set back or should he dispose it. Still believing him at the time, I said take care of disposing it and send us the $200. Unfortunately, more than once he promised the check by a certain date, but never sent it. Others who have dealt with Mr. [redacted] have been promised a check and either did not receive a check or could not cash the check because of insufficient funds. I will consider the complaint closed when the check clears his bank. We will wait until October 30 to see if he does provide a funded check. Regards, [redacted] ***

I contracted with this business to fix my TV He made an appointmnet to come to my home and check my TV He showed up at the appointed time and opened the back of my yr old flat screen tv and said he could repair the TV but he would have to take it back to his shop I agreed and he told me he would have the repair completed and the TV returned in one week He asked for A check for $for parts I complied and he told my TV This was on March 7,and I never heard from him again He does not answer the phone He did however cash my check right away I was totally taken in I don't mind so much losing the TV (it wasn't working) but it rankles that I paid him $to steal my TV!

Unfortunately more power issues came with the set;

trying to fix it, spending more money in parts as well investing time to get the unit repaired at
no additional chargeMr*** was notified in all time about the process of this repairBut we
understood that the customer need it a TV repaired, so after all he desired to stop or cancel the

COMPLAINT..EDWIN R [redacted] took my1600.00 tv and a 300.00 deposite on 4-3-15 for repairs. I told him I was disabled and house bound and had to have it back ASAP, he said no problem within a week I would have it back. 10 days no tv no call..Finally got a call back after two weeks, back to his usual format,(see google telesystems electronics seattle wa) they don't have the parts. Called manf. of tv the parts were available, no reason for delay. Made *numerous calls* still no tv or refund. Finally on 4-23-15 I called and left a message that I called the tv manf. and the parts have and are still ready available. Hererra said he had the parts and I would have the tv back by 4-27-15 still waiting. Revdex.com gives him a F rating in Seattle Wa and Cal. What is the next state or town to get scamed. I have yet to find any reviews with a positive or even "My tv is fixed" Do you have anything lower than an F, not that it makes any difference to this guy. He keeps on scamming and stealing

Again Mr. [redacted] is dishonest.  I have not received the check for the compromise amount of $200  that he promised would be sent Oct. 25, 2014 as noted in his response to the Revdex.com.  This is at least the third time he has promised a check. Reading the reviews,  I find that even when he issues a refund check, there are insufficient funds to cash the check.  He has not fulfilled his end of the compromise agreement and will not until I have the $200 cash in hand.  If the $200 appears after you receive this response, I will so notify the Revdex.com.

Review: On June 29, 2015 Mr. [redacted] came to my home and quoted me $465.00 to repair my Samgung Model [redacted] TV. He stated that a new circuit board would solve the problem. He asked for a deposit of $300.00 to purchase the circuit board I issued Mr. [redacted] a check (#[redacted]) for $300.00. Mr. [redacted] said he would order the circuit board and have my TV repaired within two weeks.

Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] has not completed his end of the deal. My TV has not been repaired. Mr. [redacted] has given me excuse after excuse as to why the contracted repairs have not been completed.Desired Settlement: Return of my $300.00 deposit

Review: [redacted]LA TV Repair came to our home for a tv repair service call on 8/25/14. The gentleman took our tv and immediately billed our credit card. He said the tv should be back within the week, but after a week, every time we called, he had a different story - waiting for parts, needing another part, needing to reinstall something, it's finished, it's not finished.. Finally he said it was done and he would be bringing it back, but he didn't show. We called and he finally brought the tv back on 10/4/14 - 40 days after taking it - and it had not been repaired. He stated on the paperwork that he would refund us in full on 10/20. The refund didn't come through, so when we called again, he said it would be on 11/4. We still have no refund, nor has the gentleman called us back. We want our refund of $[redacted].Desired Settlement: As per the written agreement, please refund $[redacted] to our credit card.

Review: On July 26th [redacted] of LA TV Repair came to my home to repair my TV. He was unable to do so because he did not have the parts. [redacted] took the startersestions home with a check for $417. [redacted] said he would return and complete the repair in two weeks. After three weeks [redacted] had not returned. I contacted [redacted] and was told he was having trouble getting the parts. On August the 29th [redacted] gave us a loaner TV. (It we had for one week) On September 26th [redacted] admitted he could not repair out TV and took the loaner. I asked at that time and he stated he did not have the money and he send me a check on October 10th. I have not received payment and further contact were met with. I will send you the money. I even tried partial payment and that has not worked. Desired Settlement: Retrieve money

Review: LA TV came to my home to repair my TV, he put in the wrong part and wanted to take the TV to his shop for further repair on Oct. 15, 2014. He has yet repaired or returned my TV. We also paid him $365.00 up front. When he took the TV he said he was not going to charge us for the service call since he couldn't fix it in my home. He said he was waiting for the right part to come and that it was coming from Canada leading us to believe that the part was on order, that was on Nov. 10, 2014. He asked us to give him another two weeks to wait for the delivery and repair which we did, he said he would call us as soon as the part arrived. We waited another 7 weeks and called him again on Dec. 26, 29, and 30, 2014. We asked him to return our TV and money and he agreed to do so but he failed to come at the appointed time on Jan. 21st and Jan. 28, 2015 we waited for him to return our TV on both days and he failed to show. This man has told us nothing but lies from the moment he took our TVDesired Settlement: I would like my TV and money back. I have a feeling this is going to end up in small claims court.

Review: Our daughter, owned a Panasonic Plasma TV Model [redacted] which failed. She asked us, her parents, to find a repairman and be present while he was in her home. From a list of repairmen who said they were specialists in Panasonic TV repairs, we chose LA TV Repair. LA TV Repair is the published fictitious business name used by [redacted] S. [redacted] Place, Santa Ana, CA. [redacted]. On May 8, 2014, [redacted] arrived at our daughter's home in Chino Hills, CA, and inspected the TV. He declared that it needed to go to the shop to be repaired. The cost would be $300. He also indicated that the problem was due to a electrical surge on the line and offered a surge protector for an extra $50. Foolishly, we gave him a check for $350. The set was not returned at the agreed upon time. Many, many phone calls were placed from us to [redacted]. Samples of his answers to our questions were as follows: "I'm waiting for parts (4 times)...the wrong parts were shipped...family emergency...set was repaired, but it failed again (2 times)." Finally, he claimed that the problem was in the glass screen, and it could not be repaired. He offered to refund $200 to us. The check never came after several calls from us. As of September 15, 2014 the refund has still not arrived. We are not alone. See YP.COM reviews.Desired Settlement: Return Panasonic Plasma TV Model [redacted] in repairable condition with no more than one failed module and full refund of $350.00. Alternative is meet contract and return repaired TV along with surge protector and honor contract warranty.

Review: On May 22, 2014 [redacted] of LA TV repair came to my house to pick up my TV for repair, he told me I needed a surge protector to protect the TV from further damage. So I paid $55 that day for one surge protector to be brought back with the TV when repaired. On July 29, 2014 he finally finished fixing a TV repair that was suppose to take one week, and brought the TV back, but without the surge protector as promised and as was paid for.

He said he would put it in the mail and I would have it in less than a week. At that time on July 29, 2014 I also decided to purchase another surge protector to be delivered with the other. Paid additional $55 at that time.

As of 1/26/2015, I have not received either surge protector!! I have called many times. It has been promised to be sent by UPS, multiple times, but has never arrived. I asked for the UPS tracking number, he claims he lost the slip. Again, I spoke with him this week being very upset, I wanted it personally brought to my house Thursday while I was home-he refused and said he would bring it Friday because he had a call in the area. I told him I wouldn't be there that day but call me when he leaves it and I will have someone get it and put it inside for me. He didn't come Friday. I spoke with him on Friday he said he would send by UPS again, and would text me the tracking number. This is 1/26/15 16:10, have not received tracking number. I have had it!!!! Worst service I have ever received period!!!Desired Settlement: Either prompt delivery of order or money back.

Review: (This story begins in Dec. 2014)[redacted] (assumed owner) came to my house and picked up a broken TV claiming to be able to fix it. Required a $300 deposit and balance of $100or so when repaired. Said it would take 3 weeks. If he could not repair the TV would refund $200. $100 he would keep for his time. I agreed. Never heard from him for two months. When I contacted him he said he got the parts and would have the TV fixed by the weekend. Never heard from him again until I called another month later. Told me he could not repair it and would refund my $200 and return the TV. I have received nothing. Called again....nothing again. Looked online for his company and found dozens of unhappy customers with reviews similar to mine. This man is a crook and is ripping off most unsuspecting customers dumb as me to give him any deposit.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of $300 and my TV back. This person should face criminal charges!

Review: Mr [redacted] owner of LA TV REPAIR took my 60" Samsung tv and $300 with the promise to repair and return my TV in a week and a half,it's been 3 weeks and now he won't answer his phone . I'd learned that He'd done the same thing to a lot of people.Desired Settlement: I want my TV back, either repaired or if isn't repair I want my TV and my $300 back

Review: [redacted] came to my house on February 11, 2015, to check my Samsung tv. He determined that he could fix it within 2 weeks. He took my tv to his shop, that doesn't exist, to get it fix. About 3 weeks later, I call him to inquire about my tv. He never answer, so I decided to leave a message. A couple of days later he called me and told me that he had not received the parts yet. Several days later, he called me and told me that he had received the parts and that he would fix the tv within the week. Several day went by and no call. I tried to call him at 714-474-1776, but the woman that answer would hang up on me as soon as I asked for [redacted]. I decided to go, on March 30, 2015, to the address [redacted] to pick up my tv. When I got there, I found out that he rents a room at this property and he uses the garage to keep all the collected tvs there. I was able to reach him through his landlord. I told him that I wanted my tv and deposit back. He told me that he was out of town and that he would return around 10 pm that night. After a while, he told me that he would return back by 5 pm, he was out due to a family emergency, that my tv was fixed but it was under observation, and that he would give it to me he following day and he hang up. I decided to wait for him. He called back a few minutes later. He talked to me again and I told him that I was not leaving until I picked up my tv because he was a big time liar. He promised to give it back the same day and that he would return my money. When he got back to the house, I was there waiting for me. He told me that he would deal with me after he would put his jet skies away because he was vacationing. He gave me my tv back. It was dusty and had not being worked on for days. He gave me a check for the deposit amount of $250.00. I asked him if the check had funds. He said that it was illegal in California to give a check without funds. Up until this day, the check has no funds.Desired Settlement: I want my money back and I want my refund in Cash because I don't believe in this guy anymore. He now has a new website called latvrepairman.com. I want this guy out of business, specially knowing now that he does not hold a license to operate.
