*** telephoned me to assist with the situationOn arriving to the Lonsdale office, *** and *** were sitting in the Lonsdale apartment office, *** appeared to be very upset and was in tears, *** had hand written a letter, stating that *** had entered the suite illegally and that *** would be held liable, *** had demanded *** sign the statement
I listened to both, and it appeared that there was a simple misunderstanding and that an honest mistake was made
As a gesture for the misunderstanding, I offered to waive any carpet and cleaning feesI explained that we were not able to pro-rate her rent*** agreed and gave me her apartment keys
Using the Lonsdale email address, I sent *** in the Edmonton accounting office an email requesting *** *** security deposit be refunded without deductionsUnfortunately, *** sent a security deposit refund check to *** with deductions madeUpon learning this I sent *** another email requesting $be refunded
On *** 15th, I had a telephone conversation with *** explaining that a mistake was made when refunding her security deposit and another cheque had been issued to make up for the short fallThis was one day after *** had filed the complaint
